âEsther? Esther?â Kevin called out.
Knowing how important Felix was to Bradley, Kevin personally supported Bradley and brought him to the room to use a stethoscope and check his condition.
âBradley, I understand youâre anxious about Felixâs situation, but rushing things wonât help,â Kevin said, seeing Bradleyâs gloomy expression.
Sensing the need to change the subject, Kevin asked, âWhat are you planning to do with Shane?â
âLeave it to Chief Zigler,â Bradley replied.
Bradley made a phone call to Joseph and sent him a copy of Shaneâs confession video. He entrusted the rest, including how Shane would face legal judgment, to the police chief. âRight.â Kevin responded coldly. âThereâs no need for you to dirty your hands with someone like him!â
Bradley instinctively looked at his fingers-long, fair, and slender.
When Felix was young, he used to play with Bradleyâs fingers and ask, âDaddy, when will my hands grow this big?â in his childish voice. Bradleyâs mind was now filled with thoughts of Felix. Would he ever find his son again?
Seeing Bradley lost in thought, Kevin left the room and went to Estherâs side on the deck. Clark took care of the arrangements for Ben and Jessica to leave while Esther sat alone, watching the rescue personnel in the distance, the sea breeze blowing against her hair and skirt.
Kevin looked at Estherâs slender figure and grew furious. âEsther, are you deaf? Didnât you hear me calling you?â
Estherâs clear gaze met Kevinâs face.
Kevin had once fallen into the water, and Bradley had saved him, so he was Bradleyâs most loyal follower. Little did he know that Esther was the one who had noticed the accident and brought Bradley to save him.
Upon learning of Thomasâ accident, Kevin made the resolute decision to study medicine.
Esther saw through Kevinâs naive nature easily.
âKevin, I donât think weâre that close,â Esther replied calmly.
Kevin huffed, looking at Esther with anger. âEsther, donât think youâre the only one saddened. by Felixâs situation. Youâve only been with Felix for a few days, and youâre already so sad. Bradley, who personally raised him, is even more heartbroken-â
Esther retorted coldly, âWhat are you trying to say?â
âWhat do you mean? What am I trying to say?â Kevin huffed and rolled up his sleeves, feeling like arguing with Esther. âYou should think about what you should do as Bradleyâs wife!â
âLet me correct you. I am not Bradleyâs wife,â Esther said, her voice devoid of emotion. âIâve divorced Bradley.â
âDivorced?â
Bradleyâs face turned chilling and terrifying, like a towering mountain blocking the only ray of light in front of Esther.
âEsther, say it again. Who did you divorce?â
