A week after the sports festival, Izuku was in class talking with Katsuki.
"So I want to apologize for what I did when we were children, Izuku," said Bakugou, kind of sad.
"Don't worry Kacchan, now that we are speaking like civilized people; although I had to beat the shit out of you first," he added quickly, "I know that in a strange, bizarre and twisted way you tried to protect me as I was quirkless."
"Yeeeeeah, I'm not too proud about how I acted back then," he scratched a bit his head, "but I saw you beat me so I know you can go through anything; if I call you Deku, now it will be with the intent round face gave it," he smiled.
"Friends again?" asked Izuku while stretching out his hand.
"Friends... shitty nerd." Katsuki took Izuku's hand while smiling.
"That was so manly!" shouted Kirishima from the back of the class.
"So early and you're already making noise," said Aizawa, heavily after falling from the roof in his sleeping bag. "Kirishima, you're on detention. You'll sweep the classroom with a shoe brush."
After standing up, which in the sleeping bag made him look like a cocoon or a pokémon, he looked at the class.
"Alright kids, after the festival, pro heroes sent application to all of you so you can do internships with them for a week."
"What's the utility in this?" asked Iida, making his typical robot-like gestures.
"You learn from the pro and they raise their popularity up while also they can maybe have future assistants. Everyone wins." answered the teacher and then drank juice from a bag. "If there are no more questions, let's begin."
After those words, some workers entered and brought with them several boxes of different size which where given to each student.
"Thanks." said Aizawa when the workers finished and then looked at the students. "As you can see, each one of you have a box with applications inside; they're of different sizes because you got different numbers of applications sent to you. For example, the ones who got more applications are Todoroki, with over 3000, Bakugou, with about 2800, Yaoyorozu, with about 2400, and Midoriya, with about 1600."
"Wait sensei," said Mina, "How is it Midori has less than them? He won the festival. No offense guys," she added.
Several of them whispered after the comment, she had the reason. If Midoriya won, why he had less application than some of them?
"Some heroes thought his methods were too brutal, even more than Bakugou."
Momma caterpillar.
Don't call me that. What do you want?
If I told you I held up, what would you say?
Seeing what you did at the U.S.J attack, I believe you.
Speaking of which, what happened with that thing designed to kill All Might?
It was taken for studies.
They should destroy it. That thing has no soul, it's like a computer; it only receives orders.
I'll let them know.
"Well, open up your boxes and decide which hero you want to do your internships," said Aizawa before falling asleep.
The students were very excited and started to read their applications. Izuku, however, was the happiest of all; before being a vampire he never thought he could even be in U.A.
After some minutes, several had found an application. Bakugou chose Best Jeanist, Todoroki chose his father, even though he hated him he recognized he could teach him, Mineta, for obvious reasons, he chose Mt. Lady, and so it went. Izuku was choosing between Ectoplasm and Vlad King when he saw a unique application.
"Cool, I haven't seen uncle Hellboy in a while."
The day they started the internships, Izuku just teleported to the address the paper said. When he arrived he had to duck quickly to dodge a bullet with holy water.
"Good, you have improved kid," said voice from the shadows.
"Uncle Hellboy, you have shot me so many times you are now predictable," the vampire smiled, showing his fangs.
The red skinned being, with a beard, a hand that looked like it was made of stone, horns that appeared to have been cut that was almost 2 meters high; who also wore a light brown raincoat; known as the Demonic Hero: Hellboy, holstered his still smoking revolver.
"Good job at the festival, by the way."
"Thanks, how has things been around here?" asked Izuku.
"Everything normal, Liz still tells me to wash the dishes and Abe still helps me when I'm patrolling and hunting monsters. But more importantly, why have you come here?"
"I saw your application and I decided to do the internship with you."
"Very well, kid, tell me, what has Alucard taught you?" he asked while taking out a cigar and then lightened it.
"Well, I can now regenerate totally, transform into animals and teleport in shadows. I only can't control my regeneration when the damage isn't severe. I want to scare people making them think I lost a limb or something," he smiled a bit like Aizawa.
Hellboy looked at him, pleased because he had improved a lot in almost no time, he then exhaled smoke.
"Alright kid, for your regeneration thingy you have to do the same as you do when the damage is grave; think about not healing, just a lot faster. I could shoot at you some blessed bullets for practice."
"Okay, that way I also improve my pain resistance."
And thus, during the whole week, at morning, Hellboy shot him in the leg or arm and at night they cathed villains. Last internship night they decided to go to Hosu for two reasons; one, stop Iida from doing anything crazy, and two, try to catch Stain, the hero killer.
Izuku had read all his classmates minds during and after choosing the application to know their reasons; everyone had chosen with good or obvious reasons, except Tenya, he planned to get revenge on Stain for having ruined his brother's career, the hero Ingenium.
Once they were on the train, on their way to Hosu, Hellboy and the vampire were talking quietly when a pro landed in the wagon. Everyone was with wide eyes due to the surprise.
"Hey," started Hellboy, "are yo-?" he was interrupted by the roar of a being similar to the nomu, it had entered through the same hole the hero had. "Shit, you really are ugly," he said when he saw it.
Then Hellboy dodged a punch and hit the thing once in the stomach with his stone hand, sending it through the other said of the wagon.
"Boy, go find your friend. I'll take responsibility for whatever you do," he said before going after the nomu.
Izuku quickly got out of the train and started to teleport to each alley in the city.
From a tall building, Shigaraki was watching the chaos his nomus were making; after some tense 'negotiations', the hero killer and the League of Villains had a truce and quasi-alliance. Even though the hands villain actually was planning to kill him at the first chance.
Back with Izuku, he was fighting Satin after he found him about to kill Tenya.
"You're just another fake hero," said Stain while dodging Izuku's punches. The guy was good.
"Go away Midoriya, this isn't your fight!" said Iida, paralyzed and with a cut on his shoulder.
"You know, now I don't care much about your miserable life," said Izuku, trying to hit the hero killer. "It seems you don't appreciate it much if you decided to go for Stain alone for vengeance," the vampire continued, this time on the defensive, "but I won't let the guy who is bleeding 2 meters away from you die for your stupidity."
Iida had completely forgotten about the hero, Stain had stabbed first. He was right; he didn't deserve to be a hero. But he still wanted vengeance for his brother.
"Why?" asked Tenya.
"I know what you're thinking, you big idiot," said Izuku. "But think about it, heroes wouldn't exist if they didn't go into what they're not called. And vengeance is far away to being a hero who does what he does because it's the right thing to do."
"Boy," smiled Stain, "you are a true hero," he quickly cut him and licked the blood to paralyze him. "That's why I'll let you live, but your friend and the pro are fake and they're gonna die."
Izuku, from the floor, started to laugh.
"What's so funny?" asked the killer, a bit angry.
"That you think this will stop me."
Then the vampire let out some familiars.
"Do you recognize them?" he asked mockingly.
"They are the villains that disappeared last year," said Stain, shocked. "Who are you?" he continued while dodging the familiars.
"I'm," he used shadows to transport his voice to Stain's ear, "Nosferatu."
Quickly his familiars beat Stain, who no matter how much blood he licked, his quirk only affected Izuku, who shared blood with his familiars. While this happened, the vampire used some kind of tentacles made of shadows to bring out his phone and tell Hellboy where they were.
After a few minutes, Stain was unconscious and the students could move again; so Izuku put the pro, who happened to be Native, and Stain in stretchers made of shadows, and along with Tenya they walked out of the alley.
Later they met with Hellboy, Endeavor, Shoto and other pro heroes. Hellboy was happy about what Izuku accomplished, while Iida was scolded by everyone there.
Izuku had already transported Tenya and Native to a hospital when a flying nomu caught him in its claws and started flying away.
"Hey, over developed chicken, let me go," Izuku was about to beat the shit out of it when Stain jumped above the nomu and paralyzed it after cutting it.
After landing, the killer gave a short speech and was again unconscious, only this time he was still standing.
