Mary is still disappointed that her husband did not make love to her this morning. But she's still optimistic about tonight. She put all the breakfast back in the fridge and cleaned the kitchen area. No messes once her husband and children get back.
She checks to see if Miguel is doing all right. He is energetic as always. Since she's not doing anything, it's time to walk the dog around the neighborhood. She changed into a warm and appropriate attire to walk a dog.
"Alright Miguel, it's time for your walk!" She told him, he barked with joy. She always admired how merry he was. Even in the darkest times in life, he stays positive. She remembers the first time they got him.
Three years ago, he was at the orphanage for pets, and lost his mom and dad in a car accident. The worst part about it was that the driver did not get arrested or suffered any consequences. Knowing that information broke her heart. Miguel was not this happy before Mary claimed him as a pet. He was moping around everyday, missing his parents and he had no one to love him. It got so bad that he would not eat for days.
Thankfully, the orphanage did the right thing by letting people adopt Miguel. He almost got adopted by another family. By the last second, Mary and her family went to the orphanage because the kids always wanted a dog. They love dogs a lot and begged their parents to have one. Mary and Lamonte were hesitant on adopting a dog since they never had a pet in their lives and they didn't want a troublemaker.
When Miguel and all the family members met, they all instantly clicked. Miguel felt the love he was longing for. He still missed his parents, but he's happy to be with his new family. He could not be anymore merrier.
Mary and Miguel went outside, she walked him using a leash. She has on a thick jacket to keep her warm from the cold weather. He just has his fur to keep him warm, since most animals can survive cold weather.
They walk around the neighborhood for some minutes, Miguel enjoying the open space while Mary tries to stay warm. She notices her neighbor that lives three doors down to the right outside and decides to talk to her.
"Hey Sarah!" She greets her.
"Hey Mary, how are you?" She asks.
"I'm doing well, just walking Miguel." She replies. Sarah decided to walk with them since she had nothing else better to do.
"That's good!" Nodding her head and smiling gleefully.
"What about you? What have you been up to?" She asked.
"Working, eating, and sleeping. That's pretty much it." Mary chuckled after Sarah said that.
"I feel you, girl!" She said agreeing with her.
"I gotta ask, what do you plan on doing for Christmas? Right now, I don't see no Christmas decorations or anything around your house. Don't mean to brag, but my house is covered with Christmas stuff." Sarah asked and she was not kidding about her house covered with Christmas items.
Her roof, bushes, and trees are drenched with lights. A twinkling snowman and reindeers standing tall on her garden. Thirty-six pieces of light blue glitter Poinsettia Flowers plastered all over her exterior walls. She did not come to play this year.
Mary appreciates her neighbors going above and beyond when it comes to decorating. But she's not a competitive person, she likes to do things how she likes it. If she thinks something is perfect, that's how she views it.
"I can't really tell you my Christmas plans since it's a surprise. All I will say that my family and I are going to have the best Christmas ever. Isn't that right Miguel?" Mary asks.
"Woof" that's all Miguel said, jumping around with joy. Living his best life.
"Miguel is such a cutie pie!" Sarah said, giving him a rub.
"He's the best dog ever. I don't know what we would do without him." Mary said. Her phone goes off and received a text from her husband.
"I will be home by the time the kids arrive, which will be in thirty minutes. You will love what I have got. Also, when all the kids are asleep, I will give you all night loving." Lamonte texted her through WhatsApp, using a red heart emoji at the end of the text.
"I have to go to Sarah, my kids and husband will be arriving real soon. Nice to talk to you!" She told her.
"Same here, take care!" Sarah said, walking back to her house.
"Take care!" Mary repeated.
"Alright, baby! I can't wait to satisfy my sexy king!" She texted back to her husband; using a winking, red heart, and kissing emojis. She walked Miguel back home. He had the time of his life today. He is grateful for Mary being such a loving person.
