I grabbed some braiding & added it into the braid I was doing on a client
I took a deep breath because my hands are hurting & my body still aches
The shop door opened
"Welcome in" the new receptionist Dj said smiling
"Hey , um I'm looking for someone named Tae?" A girl said
I minded my business
London cleared her throat as she was doing someone's leave out
I looked up at her
She nodded her head towards the girl
I shook my head
"Uh he's not here right now" Dj said
"You know when he comes back?" She asked dj
"It says he has an appointment today in an hour so soon I would say" Dj said
"Okay thank you " she said

The girl walked out
"Bitch why you letting a bitch walk in here asking about yo man?" London asked me
I started hearing ringing in my ears
I started to get dizzy
& my head started to get cloudy
My breathing got hitched
"I don't give a fuck he gon do what he do while I mind my business & leave his ass" I said out of breath
"Girl-" London started to say until I cut her off
"Is it okay if I take a break I'm so sorry but my body is aching right now" I asked the woman
She looked at me "yeah go ahead" she said softly
I nodded my head
I started to walk to the sitting area
Until I heard the door open & felt me falling over hitting my head on the receptionist desk
I blacked out
"Tae move nigga" I yelled at him
"Stop don't leave Erin" he said pushing me back
"I'm done I can't do this no more" i said
"You know I'm going through a lot right now ek"

My eyes shot open as I tried to sit up but my body was too weak
"Wait hollon Erin" my mom said getting up & comin to me
"You okay boo?" She asked
"Yeah where am I?" I asked looking around & I was in the hospital
I heard the machines beeping
"You're in the hospital stank lemme call yo dad & tell em bring you some food back too" she said grabbing her phone
"I'm in the hospital just cause I passed out?" I asked her

My dad must've answered because she started talking to him
I sat up as the door opened
Moura, Tae, Gk, rondo , blu & Ji walked in the room
With flowers & cards
Me & moura made eye contact
"Oh my gosh my baby she's dying" she said running up to me laying on me in the bed
"Amoura be quiet" Gk said.
"No look at her she looks sick she's dying my baby is dying from lupus" she said still laid out on the bed
"Amoura I didn't tell her yet...get yo sss up" my mom said to moura
Moura made the Oop face & got up
I looked at my mom
"They tested you for everything boog & the only thing that came back was you having lupus" my mom said
I instantly broke down crying
Moura & my mom hugged me
"Don't cry baby we'll get through this" my mom said
"& you got us" rondo said
"Im dying" i said crying more
They all smacked their lips except for amoura
"You're not dying" my mom said
"I literally feel like I am" I said
Tae walked out the room as my auntie & uncle walked in
My face softened up because why would he leave?
"Amoura baby hey" my aunt savannah said to Amoura hugging her
"Hey mommy"

I stared at amoura cause I ain't know she told her parents
She looked down at her stomach & lifted her oversized jacket up
Her mom felt on her belly
"Ima be a grandma lord" she said
My mom just stared at her
There was a knock on the door
"Come in" my mom said
The doctor walked in smiling
"Hi Erin" she said softly
I gave her a faint smile "hi"
"How you feeling?" She asked me
"My body & head hurts" i said lowly
She nodded her head writing it down on her clipboard
"Okay I'm going to bring you in some Tylenol" she said
"Thank you" i said lowly
Where is Tae?
"So have you been told already?" She asked me looking around the room
"Yes" I said lowly
"Okay lupus can come from a lot of things such as stress, environment, genetics & or your immune system is attacking itself & the case for you is your immune system is attacking itself killing off your white blood cells" she said staring at me
I nodded my head
"So I'm going to have one of the nurses come in here give you the run down on all the stuff you have to take to keep it under control..... you're not in a severe risk of lupus you're more moderate we caught it at the perfect timing" she said to me
"Okay thank you" I said
"You need anything?" She asked me
I shook my head no
She nodded her head & smiled
"I know it's a lot but you & you're family will be strong & get through this journey I promise " she said
"Thank you" I said softly as tears ran down my face
"They'll be in shortly" she said to me & I nodded my head understanding
She walked out
I sighed
Tae walked back in & closed the door softly
He walked up to me
He pecked my lips
"We got yo back ma don't worry" he said to me
"I'm ready to go " i said lowly
