Zhang Shaoqing’s face was full of displeasure. He stared at Ning Chu, his gaze so fierce that Ning Chu felt a bit guilty.

Feeling delighted, Ning Chu left the dorm in high spirits.

The dormitory area was brightly lit with street lamps. Unlike usual, red lanterns hung from the trees along the paths.

“What holiday is this?”

He looked around, troubled by the abundance of small restaurants lining the street.

“Which restaurant are you guys at? What room?” he sent a message to Wen Yang, anxiously pacing back and forth until he received a reply a few minutes later.

“At the food stall, right across from that Sichuan restaurant we went to before. We’re just sitting on the street.”

“What’s up? Are you coming too? You better hurry, the food’s already on the table.”

With the location confirmed, Ning Chu quickened his pace, taking a moment to send another message.

“I’m just out buying some food from the supermarket.”
