Li Beijue furrowed his brow, his falcon-like eyes sweeping over to her with an aura of deadly menace as he coldly questioned, âAre you saying my baby would be afraid of a mere bottle of body wash?â
How could his and Chi Enenâs baby possibly get hurt by a little body wash.
The lecturer now immensely regretted judging by appearances and calling him up; he wasnât here to demonstrate, he was clearly here to wreck the place! She could only pretend not to hear, and, facing the crowd below, she forced out a smile uglier than crying, âOkay, letâs thank this gentleman for coming up to demonstrate for us. Please, a round of applause.â
The other people in the classroom, still immersed in his rough way of washing the baby, heard the teacherâs words and started to clap mechanically.
The lecturer, like she was sending off the plague, immediately told him, âSir, thank you for helping, you may step down now.â
ââ¦â What did this annoying old woman mean? Was he someone she could just order around as she wished?
Li Beijueâs brows pinched tightly together, a fire of rage burning in the depths of his eyes.
Yet, he suppressed the fury and sat back down next to Chi Enen.
The lecturer could barely contain her urge to set off firecrackers in celebration. Once he sat down, she obviously breathed a sigh of relief, âNow I will demonstrate the correct way to bathe a little baby for everyone. Please watch carefully.â
She pointed at the items laid out on the table and said, âFirst, we need to prepare everything we will use: a baby bathtub, towels (face towels), gentle soap and baby shower gel, cotton balls, a huge towel (preferably with a hood), medical alcohol, cotton swabs, etc.â
âWeâve prepared all these things.â The lecturer carefully picked up the simulation baby as though she was holding a real infant, and told everyone in the classroom, âBefore bathing, we need to ensure that the baby isnât hungry, having been properly fed; nor too full, or having just been fed.â
âAlso, depending on mommy and babyâs condition, choose the most stable time of the day for both parties, and itâs best to ensure that baby is in a quiet and alert state. Place the large basin or baby bathtub in a secure spot where mommy can move freely, and be mindful of keeping the room warm and well-ventilated. If baby is only a few months old, itâs best to lay a huge towel at the bottom of the bathtub or basin to prevent slipping.â
Chi Enen listened carefully, taking out her mobile phone to meticulously take notes.
The expectant mommies to her left and right, and in front and behind, all held notebooks, scribbling down key points eagerly, afraid of missing the teacherâs important advice.
Li Beijue glanced at her sideways. Initially already impatient with attending the class, he didnât know why, but the irritation in his heart began to calm down.
He endured his impatience and turned his head back towards the stage.
The lecturer had already spread a huge towel at the bottom of the bathtub and then raised her head to continue, âJust now, that gentleman came up and directly placed the baby into the bathtub, which was a mistake. In fact, before we bathe the baby, we must first test the water temperature. Use your wrist to test it; the water should feel warm and comfortable. Only when weâre sure that the water is warm and comforting can we put the little baby down. Otherwise, if itâs too hot, it could burn the little baby, and if itâs too cold, it could cause the little baby to freeze.â
In a rustle, several heads turned in the direction of Li Beijue.
That look in their eyes was definitely something Li Beijue had never experiencedârestrained laughter!
From the time he knew right from wrong to the present, he was always surrounded by crowds; heâd seen eyes filled with fear, with dread, with envy, with admiration, but he had never seen ones holding in laughter!
