The Luna’s Pure Heart – Chapter 75

(Eleanor pov)

I’m pregnant..the words echoed through my mind as I tried to grasp them fully. How the hell was this even possible? The doctor said my body might be different because I am a blessed wolf..I guess that would explain why I have been so tired and the crying..yeah, there has been a lot of crying.

‘Did you know Kari?’

I asked my wolf quietly and I could already tell the answer was yes. Why didn’t she tell me?

‘I wanted you to find out on your own, to feel surprised, and for you and our mate to share in the excitement together. Sorry..’

She admitted and I guess this definitely was an experience I will never forget..that’s for sure.

The doctor just left and I turned to look at Damion. He was watching me carefully, his eyes burning into my own as I opened my mouth to speak. Before I even could, Damion bent down, his arms wrapping around me as he buried his face into the crook of my neck.

“You have made me the happiest man in the world Eleanor. Thank you..thank you for coming into my life..for accepting me and for now carrying my pup..I love you more than anything and this..this has just multiplied all of it Bunny.” He whispered against my skin, placing soft k****s on my mark as I melted beneath him.

“I love you too Damion, you are going to be such a great dad and I wouldn’t want to do this with anyone else but you. I don’t think it would even be possible..I feel like this was a blessing from the moon goddess, one to show that all of this is meant to be..that we truly are meant for each other Damion.” I breathed out, feeling my emotions rising once again.

“Oh, Eleanor..I can’t believe we are going to have a pup..” he laughed softly, pulling back as he looked down at my stomach and placed his hand on it carefully. His eyes were full of wonder as the corner of his lips pulled into the sweetest smile.

Suddenly a soft knock sounded on the door and realization hit that all of our friends were still waiting outside and didn’t know what was going on.

“Should..should we tell them all together?” I asked softly and Damion nodded his head. He quickly bent down, placing a gentle k**s on my forehead then pulled away to open the door.

“You guys can come in now.” His voice was deep and serious.

Everyone filed into the room, I noticed Rachel was standing in between Lance and Lucas now as they both hovered around her protectively..it’s good to see they are all together and getting along. I couldn’t help but smile..

“Elle, are you okay?!” Helen raced to my side, taking my hand as I nodded my head and glanced toward Damion.

He quickly came to my other side and gripped my hand tightly, smiling down at me lovingly.

Glancing around the room, I saw all of the people I cared about the most in this world..these people who have become my family and good friends.

I looked back towards my mate, the man I love with all my heart and he smiled encouragingly at me.

“Well, Damion and I have just heard some surprising news..something that was kind of a shock.” I started and the room filled with a thick silence, making me swallow hard.

Helen looked more worried than ever as I suddenly felt very nervous. I looked into Damion’s eyes, needing his strength and support to say this out loud.

“She’s pregnant.” Damion suddenly blurted, catching me off guard as I could suddenly see how hard it was for him to keep it in.

There was a collective gasp that sounded throughout the room and then I was suddenly bombarded with people.

“Angel, oh goddess I’m going to be an uncle. I can’t believe it..I am so happy.” Lance cried out dramatically and literally threw himself on me, earning a growl from Damion as he hugged me tightly.

“Lance, you better get the hell off of her right now.” Damion warned, glaring down at him as he was using every ounce of control he had.

“Lance your squishing me.” I squeaked and he quickly pulled away.

Pierce went over to Damion, patting him on the back as he congratulated him, smiling wider than I had ever seen. Then they were soon joined by Albert and Lucas while the girls surrounded me all crying and blubbering which I swiftly joined in.

“A pup..oh Elle..” Helen squeezed my hand tighter. Tears filling her eyes as we both smiled happily at one another.

“Congratulations.” I heard Zach’s low voice. I smiled softly at him and couldn’t help but feel bad that he had to witness all of this. He seemed warmer though than the last time we spoke..so maybe this will help him get over all of it a little faster..

“Elle, I am so happy for you both.” Rachel smiled brightly as Lucas came up beside her and took her hand. She didn’t even hesitate..maybe she would be coming back to Night Shade with us sooner than I thought.

“Well, that explains the fainting and sleeping I guess.” Helen laughed and I nodded my head. I didn’t even know what time it was right now but I soon realized I was starving.

“Yeah, now that we know what it is, I feel a little relieved.” I admitted but was still shocked that there was a pup growing inside of me.

“We should get you back to the house so you can eat and rest Darling.” Damion suggested and I nodded my head, ready to just go back to our room and snuggle with my mate.

“We will stop by tomorrow to check on you. If that’s okay?” Helen asked, looking towards Damion as he agreed with a nod.

“Thank you all for being here..and sorry for being so dramatic.” I joked, laughing softly as everyone joined in. It was a pretty dramatic way to find out I’m pregnant..

“If you need anything at all Angel, just tell me..pickles and peanut butter..I got you covered.” Lance stated, causing Damion to frown which made me laugh harder.

“Thanks, Lance, I will let you know if I need anything.” I smiled softly and watched as he took Rachel’s other hand and glanced between her and Lucas. Rachel smiled brightly and her cheeks grew pink..boy did she have her hands full with those two but I have a feeling she can handle it. She is such a kind-hearted and gentle person, I know she has more than enough love for the both of them.

“I will just get her discharged and make our way back to the pack house.” Damion informed his Beta’s who nodded and everyone said their goodbyes. I felt exhausted, to say the least.

“Are you tired Darling?” Damion asked me sweetly and I nodded my head.

“I’m more hungry than anything though.” I said, and right on cue, my stomach growled, making my face warm from embarrassment.

Damion laughed, helping me sit up as a nurse came in to unhook my iv. She quickly pulled the needle out and cleaned up my arm which healed a few seconds later.

“My King and Queen, you two are all set to go.” The woman bowed her head slightly and we said our thanks before she swiftly left the room.

“What does my Bunny want to eat? Pickles and peanut butter?” He teased and I shook my head no while scrunching up my nose.

“What about a big juicy cheeseburger instead?” He asked next, it was almost like he was reading my mind.

“How did you know?” I gasped, letting him help me stand as I swiftly stretched out my back and arms.

“Because I know my mate and I just had a hunch.” He winked, his arm wrapping around my waist as he pulled me close to him. His eyes darted down to my stomach, that sweet smile pulling at his lips once more as he slowly kneeled before me.

My eyes widened with surprise as he lifted my shirt, his hands grazing my sensitive skin as he leaned forward kissing my stomach tenderly.

“My little pup, I can’t wait to meet you.” He whispered, making my heart feel like it could burst. My hands reached out, my fingers sliding through his hair as I closed my eyes and felt the man I love whispering sweet words against my flesh.

How did I get so lucky? I never would have imagined Damion would be like this when I learned I was pregnant. I thought he would struggle at first and then eventually come around later on down the road, but for him to be so accepting right away and say things like this…it’s more than I ever dreamed of..he is more than I ever dreamed of.

“Let’s get you to our room.” He stood once more and swiftly scooped me up into his arms, causing me to giggle as he placed a deep k**s against my lips.

“Usually I ask you to put me down because I can walk..but this time, I’m just going to enjoy the ride.” I smiled widely, kissing his jaw as he chuckled making his chest rumble beneath me. I was too tired to fight it this time, and I actually was thankful. I’m sure I could walk..but to be honest, I just didn’t want to. I wanted to be as close to Damion as possible and I will take what I can get!

“Good Bunny.” He pulled me closer and carried me out of the hospital where Pierce was now waiting in the SUV for us.

He quickly opened the door, a small smile forming as he watched Damion carrying me to the car.

“My king, my Queen.” He said calmly, and that’s when the most delicious smell wafted towards us from the car.

“Pierce..did I ever tell you that you are my favorite guard?” I smiled happily and Damion pouted.

“Hey, I told him to get the burgers, what about me..” He stated sadly, making me laugh as I pulled him in for a quick k**s.

“Thank you baby.” I made sure to say every word slowly as Damion smiled happily.

“Your welcome, now eat.” He ordered while pulling out a wrapped-up burger from the paper bag that was on the back seat.

It smelled heavenly and I quickly ripped off the paper and took a big bite. Oh my goddess, this is the best thing I have ever eaten in my life.

“Alpha Kilo said this restaurant makes the best burgers my Queen.” Pierce informed us while Damion watched me intently before biting into his own burger.

“Oh he was wrong, this might be the best burger in the whole damn realm.” I mumbled, my mouth full as I tried to cover it with a napkin.

“How do you like yours baby?” I asked curiously, Damion was just eating and watching me..so it was hard to tell what he thought.

“It’s good, but the best part is watching you enjoy it.” He gave me a cheesy smile and I couldn’t help but return it.

“Does this top the lobster linguini?” He raised an eyebrow and looked at me with a teasing expression.

“Oh goddess..that was good too..but right now, I think this tops it.” I could eat it all right now..I have never felt so hungry.

“Well, whatever you are craving just tell me and I will get it for you Bunny.” Damion leaned over, placing a k**s on my temple and I nodded my head while stuffing my face even more.

After eating one more burger, we made it back to the pack house and swiftly went to our room. Damion undressed me and put me into bed. His arms wrapped around me as he placed his hands on my stomach protectively. He held me like that all night as he whispered sweet words into my ear. Words that warmed me and caressed me into a deep comfortable sleep.

One thing I know for sure is that I can’t wait to go on this journey with Damion. It will be interesting to see how he handles everything and to experience this pregnancy together. I have a feeling this little pup will be a feisty one and I can’t wait to feel it growing more and more inside of me every day. I just get this feeling it will be a boy and not only that..he will look exactly like his father and I cannot wait. My sweet little pup, Mommy and Daddy love you so much already.
