Creeeak!
The car stopped at the back of the villa. Nora helped Ian out of the car. They had just gotten out when they saw Cherry and the other two run out anxiously. Seeing Ian, all three shouted in surprise, âGrandpa!â.
Cherry rushed forward and hugged Ian before starting to sweet talk. Pete and Xander stood to the side with the corners of their mouths twitching.
Nora, however, was in no mood to listen to them. She walked into the villa.
Justin followed close behind.
The two headed straight for the third floor, only to find that the door to the mysterious room had already opened. Noraâs footsteps stopped instantly. She and Justin looked at each other.
Then, she heard Ianâs cane.
He walked around Cherry and approached the two. When she saw their faces, she asked, âWhatâs wrong?â
Nora looked around the room. âThereâs a secret about my auntâs identity in this room.â
Ian immediately looked at the door impatiently and walked in.
Nora followed behind him.
As the two entered, the first thing that caught their attention was the black and white photo on the wall.
In the picture was Yvetteâs young, arrogant face. She was smiling arrogantly as she looked directly at them. In front of the photo were some offerings. It was obvious that someone had been here all year to commemorate her. âThisâ¦â
When Ian saw the photo, the last hope in his heart suddenly broke.
No one would commemorate themselves in secret.
Although he had a strong feeling after finding out that Yvette had once used Queenieâs name, he really wanted Queenie to be Yvette.
However, she knew in her heartâ¦. How could the mysterious organization, which could push Yvette to a dead end, believe she was dead without seeing her corpse?
But he forced himself not to think about it. It seemed that as long as she didnât think about it, Queenie could continue to be Yvetteâ¦.
She knew that if she thought about it, this fantasy of hers would be shattered.
The cane in his hand trembled slightly.
He struggled to stay upright and shakily moved forward. His fingers slowly touched the portrait on the wall before he began to measure the items on the surrounding shelves.
âThisâ¦â
He picked up a small gold locket and stood stone-faced. âThis is Yvetteâsâ¦â
In the center of the gold locket was a piece of jade. This jade pendant had broken and had a crack in the center.
He looked at the rest of the shelves and realized that most of the things on them had been left by Yvette. He picked them up one by one, shiveringâ¦.. It was as if she had gone back to the good old days she had spent with Yvette.
Nora didnât have much feeling for this. After all, she hadnât seen her mother since she was very young. Her feelings for her mother were not very strong.
She was just looking for something that belonged to Queenie.
Since Queenie had said that the secret of her identity was in this room, there had to be something that belonged to her!
Nora looked around and suddenly saw a small box.
She was stunned. After moving closer, she picked up the box and slowly opened it.
The first thing that appeared was a business card.
On the card was a girl who appeared to be in her teens. She was wearing a ponytail and was looking at the camera with a wide smile. The name on the card had been erased.
The company name on the card was: Philip Biotechnology Laboratory.
âThis is the official name of the mysterious organization,â Justin suddenly said. He looked at the girl on the card again. She seemed to have noticed something, but still asked, âWhoâ¦is it?â
Nora clenched her fists and said slowly, âQueenie.â When Queenie was only eleven or twelve years old, she was a member of the mysterious organization!!!!
This was an outcome that Nora had not expected!!!!!
She and Justin suddenly looked at each other. Nora put down the box in her hand and hurried to Queenieâs bedroom!
The V16 was supposed to be in her bedroom.
However, when she entered the bedroom, she saw that the refrigerator door was open and the V16 inside was missing â¦.
