âJustin Hunt.â
The two words echoed around the room.
The Queen was speaking in Welsh.
This particular aide was the subordinate the Queen trusted the most.
Although it was forbidden to speak the name to outsiders, after holding back for so long, the Queen finally couldnât help but say it out loud today. The attendant was astonished, but also enlightened. She commented, âNo wonder she treats it differently.â
But it didnât stop at just âdifferentâ.
If it werenât for the fact that the man couldnât marry into the Royal Family, the Queen would have died to marry him!
g αâ Î·Ï Î½ð âsâ¤com takes you away Unfortunately, the Royal Family had a literal throne to inherit and her own marriage affairs were not something she had to intervene in. Despite this, the Queen had never forgotten Justin in all these years.
Just as the aide wanted to talk, her phone rang.
She answered the call and said to the Queen, âItâs Princess Lucy.â
The Queen picked up the phone, sat down on the couch and took the call.
In the closet, Nora stayed quietly where she was. There was no telling if she had heard them when they uttered that name just now.
On the couch, Princess Lucyâs lovely voice came through the phone. âMommy, where are you, I miss you so much-â
The Queen replied, âIâm at the hotel, do you want to take a look?â
âOkay!â
After Lucy spoke, the Queen childishly picked up her phone and paced the room. Lucy smiled and said, âHow Iâd love to be there with you! But Iâll only get there the day after tomorrow, Gosh!â.
The Queen couldnât help but laugh, âItâs only two days.â
âBut these two days seem eternal to me. I miss you so much.â
The Queen snorted and replied, âYou mean you miss Cherry, donât you?â
Lucy let out a giggle and said, âOf course I miss you more, Mommy. By the way, have you prepared the present I asked for?â.
The Queenâs expression immediately turned sullen. She said, âThatâs my favorite statuette, but youâre taking it just to give it to Cherry! Lucy, youâve come a long way, havenât you?â.
Lucy snorted, âMommy, youâre an adult. How can you fight over something with a child? Besides, didnât we already agree on this a long time ago? My very dear royal mommy.â
Although the Queen was displeased and showed an angry expression, she nevertheless said, âGood, good!â.
âAlso! Mommy, remember to help me prepare a gift for Cherryâs mother too-â.
The Queenâs face immediately darkened. âI refuse.â
âCome on, Mommy. My royal mommy, my most favorite and the most beautiful mommy in the world, I know you donât like her just because youâre jealous that sheâs more beautiful than youâ¦â
The Queenâs face darkened even more. âLucy!â
The look on the Queenâs face, which was icy and all-powerful in public, behaving like that when interacting with her daughter in private made Nora see her a little in a new light.
Lucy hung up.
The Queenâs aide asked, âShall I prepare a gift for Miss Nora Smith?â
The Queen snorted and replied, âYes, do. After all, she is Cheryl Smithâs mother.â
âYes, maâam.â
The aide then asked, âAre you really going to give her that statuette?â.
The Queenâs heart began to bleed at the thought.
The statuette in question was not just any statuette; it was a limited edition that had been made especially for her because they knew she liked it. Since it was made of pure gold, it had caused quite a stir in the Royal Family at the time, and everyone said it was too extravagant.
After all, the Royal Family had to take care of their public image. Although they led a luxurious lifestyle, they had to remain accessible to commoners.
At the time, the Queen had declared that she would never ask for a second one. Therefore, once she gave it away, it would be gone forever.
The aide consoled her and said, âWhy donât I exchange it for a regular statuette? Princess Lucy is not interested in such things, so she wonât notice.â
The Queen hesitated for a moment. Finally, she sighed and said, âForget it, give it to her! What am I going to fight with a child for?â.
It was uncertain whether the âgirlâ she spoke of referred to Lucy or Cherry.
As the two were about to start chatting, suddenly, chaos broke out on the lower floors.
Outside the door, the Captain of the Royal Guard suddenly said, âYour Majesty, a fire has broken out on the first floor! The fire is spreading too far. Letâs hurry and change places.â
As he spoke, the fire immediately spread to the upper floor with a great roar, like a snake of flames.
Clearly, there was something wrong with those flames. It was clear that someone had doused the place with flammable materials.
They were trying to burn the Queen to death!
Nora frowned.
Who could harbor such an intense grudge against the Queen?
As she wondered, the aide answered her question.
âThe mysterious organization is so horrible! How can they do this to her? They are so persistent that they come after you from abroad to Switzerland. Your Majesty, letâs hurry up and go!â
Nora was stunned as she listened to her.
Was the mysterious organization after the Queenâs life?
Did this mean that⦠the Queen and the mysterious organization were enemies?
The gears in Noraâs mind spun at high speed.
According to Trueman, Barbarian had betrayed the mysterious organization. However, the Queen was supporting Barbarian. It might seem that Barbarian was protecting the Queen, but in reality, wasnât he also under the Queenâs protection?
Otherwise, the mysterious organization would have already found him in all these years.
The fire was fierce and, to top it off, they were on the upper floors. Nora pushed open the closet door and went to the window to check the situation outside.
On the second floor, Black Panther and Abbott had discovered the fire on the top floor and were frantically climbing with their men.
Since they had accepted the pay, they had to do their job.
This was a rule in the Assassinâs Alliance.
Just as he was about to jump out the window, gunshots suddenly rang out from the other side of the door.
The door opened again; the aide and the Captain of the Royal Guard protected the Queen as they entered. The captain said, âTheir firepower is too intense out there! We can only hide in here for now.â
The aide replied angrily, âBut the fire will reach us soon! Should we let them turn us into roast pigs by staying here?â
Even at such a moment, the Queen angrily rebuked her and said, âPlease watch your words! You are the only pig.â
The Adjutant: ââ¦â
The adjutant looked at the captain and shouted angrily, âWhat do we do now, think of something! If Barbarian were here, Iâm sure heâd be able to get the Queen out of here.â
The captain frowned and said, âI didnât expect the mysterious organization to be so powerful as to be able to infiltrate the Swiss government⦠donât worry, everyone will rush up as soon as they hear the shots. There arenât many of them, so they will be subdued very soon.â
The aide, however, shouted, âThey may not be many, but they are all fighters willing to give their lives! They are risking their lives precisely to prevent those below from saving us!â
The fighters willing to give their lives for their missions did not fear death.
Besides, the corridor was narrow. By staying there, they were preventing the Queen from leaving and preventing people from entering just so they could burn the Queen alive.
Now, the captain could charge out and fight those people outside to the death, or they could stand there and wait for her death.
The captain was certainly willing to risk his life. But the problem was that once he charged in there, if he died, there would be no one left to protect the Queen. Until the assailants burst into the room, the captainâs duty was to remain at the Queenâs side and protect her. At the window, Nora was speechless as she listened to their conversation.
At first she planned to go down alone, but for some reason, she suddenly thought of the Queenâs facial expression when she said she would give the statuette to Cherry.
The Queen was arrogant, but it seemed she wasnât entirely useless either.
As she thought of this, Nora suddenly put on the Black Cat mask and approached sharply. The moment she moved, the captain became aware of her presence, and immediately pointed his gun at her.
Nora didnât bother wasting her breath on him, so she threw a silver needle into the muzzle, knocking it away from her. Then, she walked over to the Queen and grabbed her arm. Immediately after, he rushed to the window and jumped out of it.
âAhhh!â
The Queen thought she was going to be beaten to a pulp, but, unexpectedly, the speed at which she was rushing suddenly dropped to zero. Only then did she realize that Nora was clutching a rope with her other hand.
It was not known what material the rope was made of, but it was fire resistant.
However, since Nora only had one hand to grip the rope, her hand ended up rubbing hard against the rope. In addition, she was even carrying the weight of another person. This caused the glove to be damaged by the friction, which made her palm bleed.
Bang!
Nora landed on the ground.
As for the Queen, she fell to the ground.
At that momentâ¦
A screech of tires was heard â Barbarian was returning from picking up the guest. He jumped out of the car and ran to the Queen. âYour Majesty, are you all right?â Barbarian helped the Queen up.
The Queen got up. The woman, who had suffered many assassination attempts in her life, was calm and composed. She replied, âIâm fine, where is King?â
âI brought him here.â
After Barbarianâs reply, the car door opened and a tall, familiar-looking figure stepped out of the car.
