Rachel looked around, but instead saw Tanya rounding the corner and entering the bathroom next door.
âRachel, whatâs Caden doing in there?â
Her partner nudged her arm and said, âIâm sure Sheril isnât trying to cajole him while youâre gone.â
Rachelâs eyes turned cold and she started walking with her.
As soon as the two of them got close, they heard Caden say, ââ¦Your family can ask Tanya Turner to give you lessons just because you want to learn to dance!â.
The corners of Rachelâs lips curved upward.
Her friend said smugly, âItâs not just that! Even a person as big as Miss Turner remembers Rachelâs name!â.
Caden turned and looked at her impatiently upon hearing what Rachelâs friend was saying.
Rachel raised her chin triumphantly and said, âIâll introduce you to Miss Turner when we meet again later.â
Caden nodded immediately.
Rachel then looked at Sheril and Nora. She smiled and asked, âSheril, Miss Smith â would you like me to introduce you two as well?â
Her friend immediately complimented her. âYouâre very kind to your cousin, Rachel!â
Rachel let out a giggle. âWe are family after allâ¦â
Sheril looked straight at her. âNo, itâs okay. Iâm not going to be professional.â
Rachelâs expression immediately darkened.
gⱯlnÏνð®âsâ¤cøm, your destination for tales Caden frowned and said, âSheril, why do you keep being so stubborn, why do you turn down such a good opportunity?â
âBecause you donât need it.â A clear, cold voice interrupted Caden.
Nora rose from the couch, the corners of her lips curling up as she looked away.
The people in the place followed her gaze and peeked out to see Tanya, who had just emerged from the bathroom, waving at them and approaching, hurrying over.
Rachel was taken aback.
Next to her, her friend was immediately excited. âRachel, Miss Turner is waving at you!â.
Cadenâs eyes sparkled, too.
When Sheril had refused to reconcile with him a moment ago, she had actually regretted her actions a bit. But seeing how enthusiastic Tanya was about them nowâ¦. It seemed that the Woodsâ connections were really quite impressive!
Rachelâs friend spoke loudly, so everyone around her looked up as well.
âGosh, Miss Turner seems to really like Rachel! Could it be because she dances well?â
âIâve heard that Miss Turner is highly respected in foreign aristocratic circles? But isnât it amazing how sheâs being so nice to Rachel?â
ââ¦â
The comments, full of envy, made Rachel raise her chin. She hadnât expected Tanya to have such a good impression of her either.
With a smile on her face, she took a couple of steps towards Tanya, ready to greet her.
Seeing Tanya move closer and closer to her, Rachel stood still, straightened her back, and said, âMiss Turner!â
Her expression was just right. It was neither too flattering-which would make it look like she was flattering the other party-nor too cold, which would make Tanya uncomfortable.
Surely she would become the center of attention after this, right?
But the next moment, her expression froze.
Tanya approached her.
The two of them stood facing each other.
Then, Tanya suddenly turned to the side, dodged her and continued onward, passing her by.
Rachelâs jaw dropped.
Then, she immediately heard a voice behind her. âNora! Iâve missed you so much.â
Rachel, â?â
She turned her head violently to see Tanya reaching out to give Nora a huge hug. However, Nora ducked, pulled away in disgust and slid under her arm instead. Then, she tugged on her arm and threw it to Sheril. âHug her instead. Sheâs my cousin.â
âOh, that makes her my cousin too! Cousin, youâre so cute!â
Tanya gave Sheril, who was standing stiffly, a big hug and pinched her face. She exclaimed, âYour eyes look so much like Noraâs! I like them.â
Everyone was totally baffled.
Hadnât they said that Tanya was here to look for Rachel? But why didnât the image in front of them look quite right to them?
Rachel herself was also dumbfounded, especially since the looks of adoration in the eyes of everyone around her had changed to probing looks. She felt like burying herself in a hole immediately.
Red-eyed, she clenched her fists tightly and took a couple of steps forward. He approached a few of them. Unable to maintain her ladylike image, she demanded rather sharply, âSheril, have you met Miss Turner?â
Sheril said nothing.
Tanya, on the other hand, looked at her doubtfully. âOf course I do! Nora is my best friend! Sheâs me and Iâm her! Weâre so close weâre almost inseparable.â
Then she smiled and said, âYouâre related to my little cousin, arenât you? At first I had no intention of accepting the Woodsâ class request; just because you are related I accepted it. How about this? I plan to stay at the Andersonsâ house. If who class, come to the Andersonâs house!â
Rachel, â!â
When Rachelâs friend heard what she said, she was quick to say, âBut if youâre going to the Andersons for lessons, can we come with you? Rachel, you promised.â
Tanya looked like she had been put on the spot listening to her. She said, âUgh, itâs so tiring to teach classes, so come alone and donât bring anyone!â
Then she turned to Sheril and said, âDo you dance, little cousin? I can teach you! Besides, it doesnât matter if I teach just you or a group of your friends. So, if you have friends who want to come, you can bring them!â.
Sheril was already so stunned that she was speechless. She said weakly, âI donât need to learnâ¦â
âOh no, but that will make me look very useless! And Nora probably doesnât want me anymore!â
The corner of Noraâs lip spasmed and she almost rolled her eyes. She said lazily, âWho agreed to let you stay at the Andersonsâ?â
Tanya immediately grabbed Sherilâs arm and said, âCousin, your cousin has a very strange temper and wonât allow anyone to share her bed. Can I sleep with you tonight?â
Sheril, who still hadnât recovered from the shock, replied, ââ¦.. Okay.â
âAre you still going to dance? If not, shall we go? Iâm so tired after being on a plane for a whole day!â
Tanya started dragging Nora towards the exit after saying that.
Nora avoided her tugs and walked lazily to the side as Tanya took Sherilâs arm. Everyone watched as the three made their way to the subway parking garage.
âI really thought the Andersons had fallen into decline! I didnât expect the Woods could only ask Tanya to teach because of her relationship with the Andersons.â
âNo wonder we couldnât get a date with Tanya while Rachel was the only one who did!â
âIf you think about it, Sheril actually dances really well! The way her cousin dances the male role is great too! I really like herâ¦â
Everyoneâs words made Rachel feel too embarrassed to stay. She suddenly stamped her foot and ran away while crying.
Only the stupefied Caden continued to stand there stupidly, feeling like he had missed the opportunity of a lifetime.

In the subway parking garage.
Tanya and Sheril walked in front while Nora lazily walked behind them with both hands behind her head.
As she walked, someone suddenly grabbed her arm and dragged her towards a black Land Rover.
She unconsciously threw a punch to defend herself, but her fist was caught by the man. He said, âItâs me.â
The familiar voice startled Nora for a moment. Only then did she realize that the man in front of her, who was a head taller, was actually Justin Hunt.
She raised her eyebrows. âWhat are you trying to do, Mr. Hunt?â
Justin caught her between him and the car, then let out a playful laugh. His voice was low and rich as he said, âI just want to ask Miss Smith a question.â
âWhat?â
The man narrowed his eyes dangerously. âWhy are you so interested in my son?â
