They all looked at the doctor in unison.

Nora stood in front of the doctor. She stared at the doctor’s lips, only to see him say word for word: “….. Based on the DNA samples provided by Miss Smith, we have confirmed that the body is indeed that of Mr. Justin Hunt.”

That one line of his made the whole place go silent.

Everyone looked at the doctor in disbelief.

As for Nora, her expression was calm and her eyes were closed. She seemed to be thinking about something….

The entrance to Hunt Manor was crowded with people.

A few cars pulled up.

Another car pulled up. Herman, Lauren and the others got out of the car. As soon as they did, Herman looked at Elder Mrs. Hunt. Her knees gave way and she fell to the ground.

In tears, she cried out, “Mom!”

His behavior made Elder Mrs. Hunt suddenly realize something. Her eyes widened and she staggered backward. Her vision went dark and she nearly fainted.

Fortunately, Fanny had Zabe Corporation’s Calming Pills with her at all times, so she rushed to give him a pill and stabilized his condition. As Elderly Mrs. Hunt gasped, the perplexed old woman asked, “What the hell is going on?”

Herman’s heart broke.

Even though all he did were bad things when he was young, Justin was still his son and he had always been proud of him. Now that his son was dead? How could he not be sad?

Lauren took the opportunity to speak up. “It’s all Nora’s fault! She wanted Justin to show her what he had prepared for her wedding in the middle of the night, so he took her to the bank. Fanny looked at Elder Mrs. Hunt hesitantly.

Fanny could only hurry into the house. A while later, she came back out with a cane.

The cane was very heavy. When she took it from Fanny, she paused for a moment.

Brenda, however, stepped between Elder Mrs. Hunt and Nora. She said, “Grandma, wake up! This has nothing to do with Nora! No one expected such an accident. Besides, Nora must be the most heartbroken of all of us right now.”

Elder Mrs. Hunt did not listen to her. Instead, she said to the security guard standing next to her, “Take her away.”

“Yes, ma’am.”

Someone stepped forward and restrained Brenda. Although she could get physical with them, she didn’t want to make a big scene.

She rolled up her sleeves and yelled at Nora, “Nora, hurry up and leave! Don’t stand here stupidly to let me beat you.”

However, Elder Mrs. Hunt had already raised the cane!

When Lauren saw this, her lips immediately curved into a smirk.

Justin was dead and, to top it all off, Elder Mrs. Hunt was about to hit Nora. Those three little bastards had lost their shield. From now on, the Hunts would only belong to Herman. She would see who else would dare to fight her!

She even looked at Nora and said, “Nora, Mama’s all grown up now. If you still have any conscience at all, stand still and let her vent her anger. Otherwise, wouldn’t you be letting Justin down when he’s already dead?”.

Nora stayed where she was, showing no reaction to his words.

Just as Lauren was feeling smug, the raised cane hit her hard.

The sharp, searing pain stunned Lauren and she couldn’t react for a while. She looked incredulously at Elder Mrs. Hunt and cried out, “Mom, you’ve got the wrong person! Nora is over there.”

Just after she spoke, Elder Mrs. Hunt’s second blow landed on her with force. She said, “It’s you I’m hitting! Something has happened to Justin, AND yet you’re not sad at all! Your whole mind is on the Hunt estate! Why is Herman so blind as to marry someone like you?”

When the cane struck Lauren again, Lauren finally began to dodge. The moment she moved, however, Brenda, who had been standing beside her totally stunned, recovered. She said, “Grandma is getting old, are you planning to go against her? If anything happens to her because you made her mad, you’ll be the one to blame!”.

Lauren: “!!!”

That bitch was using what she had said a moment ago against her!

Furious and panicked, Lauren could only look at Elder Mrs. Hunt. “Mom, Mom! Stop hitting me! Justin’s already dead, now you only have Herman! He’s the only son you have left! Isn’t he, isn’t he?”

Lauren was even more flabbergasted. “Her? Does a woman like her even know how to do business? She must be a knucklehead.”

Elder Mrs. Hunt made the final decision.

After all, she had been with the Hunts for many years. Even now, she still held a lot of prestige in the family.
