Iris was stunned.

Philip had found someone to carry a large fish tank into the room. The fish tank was half the height of a person and almost a meter long. With a fish tank in hand, someone poured water into it.

After doing so several times, the fish tank was full.

Iris did not understand what pHILIP wanted to do. However, the servants left after filling the tank with water, leaving only Philip and Iris in the room.

Philip looked at her with his deep, bottomless eyes. Within his eyes was a love so strong that it was almost to the point of madness. Suddenly he said, “Iris, I know you are angry with me for strangling you almost to death, so now I will take revenge for you.”

After he spoke, he suddenly lowered his head and dipped it into the water.

Iris’s pupils shrank and she sat up abruptly.

Since she hadn’t eaten in three days, the violent movement caused her vision to fade. She shook her head. After regaining some light in her eyes, she looked around the room again.

Philip’s hands were tightly gripping both sides of the fish tank and his head was still submerged in the water.

Iris cried out, “Are you crazy?”

She rushed over to Philip and grabbed his neck to pull him out. However, Philip was so strong, Iris couldn’t get him to move in the slightest.

Iris rushed down next to him and began to hit the fish tank.

In the water, Philip opened his eyes, which were a little red from holding his breath. He stared at Iris, lips moving. Although there was no sound, Iris understood what he was saying, ‘Are you still angry?’

Iris was totally stunned.

She looked at Philip in disbelief. The man’s eyes were steady and determined, as if to say that if she remained angry, she really would choke to death!

Iris was quick to nod to express that she was no longer angry.

She really wasn’t angry.

She simply felt liberated.

Despite that, Philip didn’t get out of the water. His lips were still moving. He asked, ‘Are you going to eat?’

Iris clenched her jaw, unsure how she should respond.

If she ate, she would be giving in.

But she didn’t want to continue her relationship with Philip. Now that she had entered her later years, she felt that enjoying family life and playing with her grandchildren at home was the best thing she could do.

As she hesitated, she noticed Philip’s eyes beginning to roll back in his head, indicating that he was about to faint.

Iris yelled, “Get out of there! Come out!”

But Philip didn’t move.

It was as if he wasn’t going to come out unless she answered him.

Seeing that the man was really about to suffocate to death – it had already been a minute since he went into the water – Iris dared not waste any more time. She hurriedly shouted, “I’ll eat, I’ll eat!”.

When Philip heard this, he finally let go ….

However, by then, he was already exhausted and could not get out at all and fell into the fish tank.

Iris tried to pull him out again. As the man was no longer resisting, she managed to pull him out after using all her strength.

Splash!

The water splashed on the floor, wetting the entire deck….

Philip lay there, arms limp at his side. As he took in gasps of air, he slowly opened his eyes.

Iris walked over to him and slapped him on the cheek.

Slap!

Iris glared at him and angrily shouted, “Lunatic! You’re a lunatic!”

Philip, however, merely looked at her with a smile. His simple and naive appearance reminded Iris of their first date.

On that occasion he was introverted. To be honest, among all the people courting Iris, he was neither flashy nor outstanding, and yet she had chosen to go out with him.

He didn’t know where to take her or how to be nice to her, so he had stayed under his bedroom and waited for her. After she was dressed and downstairs, he could only flash her a goofy grin.

The faces of that boy then and the man in front of her gradually overlapped.

Iris looked down and said nothing.

The servants outside had already entered and began to clean everything in the room.

Soon, the water on the floor was gone and the fish tank was taken away as well. The room was clean and spotless. They even prepared a change of clothes for Iris, whose clothes had gotten wet when they pulled Philip out of the water.

Iris went to the bathroom and changed.

When she came out, she saw that Philip had also put on clean clothes with the help of the servants. By then he had calmed down a bit. The table was also full of his favorite breakfast foods.

Iris approached. Before she could do anything, Philip pulled the chair close to her, with an extremely gentlemanly demeanor.

Iris sighed.

She lowered her head.

If she didn’t eat, she didn’t know what else Philip could do?

It didn’t matter.

She would take it as if all her years of flower growing in the suburban village were just a vacation. He made up his mind to eat and drink right from now on. Otherwise, if his health suffered, how would he ever enjoy family life and play with his grandchildren again?

As for Philip… she looked down.

She would treat him like a stranger.

Seeing that she was willing to eat, Philip let out an enthusiastic smile. He sat down opposite her and kept offering her different dishes. However, she did not eat anything he served her.

Philip sighed quietly and put down the silverware. “Iris, I know you still blame me for everything that has happened, but I will slowly make up for what I have done. We can definitely go back to being what we were in the past.”

Iris wanted to say that was impossible, but when she looked up, she saw Philip staring at her and saying, “It will definitely be possible. Definitely, absolutely.”

Iris decided to keep quiet.

When she finished eating, she felt a little more energized. Although she was still quite weak, she no longer wanted to lie in the room, but she also didn’t want to be alone if she went for a walk.

Even less did she want to be with Philip.

While she was deep in thought, Philip smiled and said, “Iris, look who’s here.”

Iris turned to see Mrs. Landis enter. Seeing Iris, Mrs. Landis stepped forward and shouted, “Ma’am!”.

Iris was surprised.

Philip sighed. “We’re going to have to drift at sea for a while. I was afraid you’d be lonely, so I brought her here too. With her accompanying you, you’d probably have a great time here. By the way, you can go shopping. The cruise ship has everything, and there is no limit to your shopping.”

They were on a sightseeing cruise. Even a single ticket cost thousands of dollars, but Philip had booked the whole ship.

The cruise ship was huge and luxurious.

The cruise ship was like a big shopping mall. There were all kinds of luxury items, so one wouldn’t get bored even if one stayed here for a month.

As Iris listened to what he said, she looked down, patted Mrs. Landis’ hand and said, “Then let’s go for a walk.”

If she stayed in the room, she would have to see Philip. If so, she had better relax, calm down and protect herself well. Someday they would mug. After Iris and Mrs. Landis left, Jason quietly walked in and approached Philip. He said, “Boss, King’s calling again – what do you think his relationship with Justin Hunt really is?”
