Nora and Justin stared at the Morse code translation, both a little speechless.
In the translation there was only a string of numbers, which looked like some kind of code. Other than that was the name of a bank and the vault number of a safe deposit box.
This showed that her mother had left something in the safe back then. Could it be V16?
Noraâs eyebrows drew together as she pondered this.
Justin asked, âWhen are you going to go retrieve the contents?â
Nora looked at him and then looked back at the name of the bank.
The safe her mother had placed was at the Bank of New York, but if they went back and headed for the Bank of New York so hastily, the people following them would surely figure out that something was wrong.
But if they didnât go in personâ¦. If they sent someone else to retrieve the contents instead, Nora worried that her mother had left some kind of trap that would cause the person to fall into it if they didnât notice anything.
Therefore, their biggest problem right now was figuring out exactly how many people were following and watching them, as well as how to avoid themâ¦.
In other words, they needed to find a suitable excuse to go to the Bank of New York.
Nora sighed quietly.
She tossed the ledger book aside and thought for a moment before saying, âLetâs find a suitable opportunity.â
âOkay.â
That night, they were both a little preoccupied.
They didnât feel like doing anything else even when they were lying in bed. Nora also had insomnia for once. After brooding over something for a long time with her eyes closed in the dark, she suddenly turned to Justin and asked, âHow is Judeâs martial arts skill?â
Although Justinâs breathing was steady the whole time, Nora could sense that he was still awake. And, indeed, as soon as she spoke, Justinâs voice came through.
âIt was fine. The gene serum really isnât as scary as we imagined.â
âReally?â
Nora was a little dubious.
If Judeâs martial arts prowess was only âokayâ, then how come Justin only managed to subdue him after a few minutes?
However, the Irvin Martial Arts Schoolâs moves were light and agile, instead they were known for their strategies. Maybe it was normal that it took them so long to take on these people.
Nora breathed a sigh of relief at the thought.
She had originally thought that since Jude was so strong, surely the mastermind would be even stronger. But if Judeâs abilities were nothing but good, then maybe the effect of the gene serum wasnât so great after all.
All her worries were unnecessary.
With that in mind, Nora rolled over and finally fell peacefully asleep.
Hearing her even breathing, Justin suddenly sat up.
He went to the bathroom, opened the door and pulled out a handy first aid box.
Then, he pulled up his gray silk pajama pants.
He had a large bruise on his thigh. He applied ice and lightly massaged the bruise.
After the massage, he took off his shirt.
He looked at himself in the mirror and quietly turned around.
On Justinâs back was another large bruised spot. In addition, there was also some blood. His wounds were a shocking sight.
If he had been a normal person, he probably would have been in so much pain that he wouldnât even be able to walk or move. However, Justin hadnât shown even the slightest sign of it.
He applied more ice to the bruises on his back without frowning.
All of those bruises had come from Jude during his fight with him that day. Of course, Jude had also suffered very serious injuries.
Still, how scary was it that someone could fight on par with him just because he had taken the gene serum?
Besides, Jude was nothing more than a minion!
This proved that the person who had sent Jude had at least ten Judes under his command!
Justin could beat one or two Judes, but how about eight or ten?
Even he and Nora together would probably be no match for them.
Justin sat in the bathroom after dressing his wounds, his brows slightly furrowed. His expression also became extraordinarily grave.
His enemy was too powerful and terrifying.
The genetic serum had existed for more than twenty years. The magnitude of the force they had built up in all these years was unknown. It was no wonder that Yvette had chosen to die then, nor that the special department had yet to obtain any substantial leads despite so many years of investigation.
Justin frowned. Suddenly, he pulled out his phone and sent a message to Lawrence and Sean: âIncrease our security measures! And summon all our men.â
Sean quickly replied, âYes, sir.â
Lawrenceâs reply came half a beat slower: âRoger that, boss. Has something happened?
Justin took a deep breath and typed, âProtect the three children and Nora.â
Yes, sir.
After sending the messages, he made more arrangements on his phone before gently returning to bed and lying down next to Nora.
The next morning, when Nora woke up, Justin was already awake. He looked like he had already washed and changed. He stood at the head of the bed and looked at her. âShall we go back to New York?â
âOkay.â
Then Nora added, âBut before we go back, thereâs one thing I have to do.â

An hour later.
At the Blacks.
Nora handed the key to the Smith villa to Irene. âAunt Irene, why donât you move into the villa?â
Irene was about to refuse when Justin said, âThe villa will be abandoned if it remains unoccupied all year. After all, Nora grew up there. If her family moves out, you guys can help take care of her too.â
As soon as he said that, Irene and Will looked at each other. Then they nodded.
Next, Nora handed over the management rights of Idealian Pharmaceuticals to Will. âUncle Will, Iâll have to trouble you to take over the company while weâre in New York.â
Will nodded.
After taking care of all this, Nora and Justin finally left for New York.

At the same time.
Far away, in Switzerland, a cruise ship was drifting on the sea.
The cruise ship was huge and had all kinds of facilities, even luxury stores. However, there were no guests on board, and it looked like someone had booked the whole ship.
In one room.
Iris was lying quietly.
A tall man lay quietly beside her.
The man reached out and gently stroked the womanâs cheek. He whispered, âIris, itâs time to get up and eat.â
He had prepared her favorite morning tea for her.
