With great momentum, the group infiltrated the abandoned steel mill ahead of them.
Their mission that night was actually a bit difficult.
The hundred or so men were all ordinary people, while some of the men under Judeâs command had taken the genetic enhancement solution. In comparison, it seemed that the ordinary people were relatively at a disadvantage.
Fortunately, Howard had gathered a relatively large group of people, and they were also launching a surprise attack. Most of Judeâs subordinates were not there.
There were only about thirty people.
Therefore, Howard was full of confidence and felt that he would definitely win.
âYou guys, go in this door. You guys, over there, go in that doorâ¦â
Howard gave the men instructions for formation so that they could prevent the enemy from escaping.
Not only did they have to capture Jude today, but they also had to prevent word of his attack from getting out. Otherwise, Judeâs subordinates would not come again. If that happened, they would not be able to capture them all. However, those men did nothing wrong. Rather, it was because they had been injected with the genetic enhancement solution, so they only had two years left to live.
Morris would definitely want to save them.
After all, most of them were unaware of the truth and didnât know what exactly Jude was doing. Their desire to get stronger was the only reason they were under his control. They did not deserve to die.
The special department officers would immediately move in once they arrived. As the main force and vanguard, Morris and Brenda took the lead and rushed first.
After all, they were professionals.
Morris and Brenda led their respective men and attacked one entrance each.
The steel mill had three entries. Howard, Justin and Nora took it upon themselves to attack the last entrance.
Howard took the lead and snorted at Nora. âStay behind me and donât be a hindrance to Justin, got it?â.
Nora ignored him, merely following behind him unhurriedly.
Seeing her lazy look, Howard couldnât help but say, âAre you here to shop or capture someone?â Did she have any idea how cruel and savage the people they were about to face there were?
Regardless, Nora merely looked at him unhurriedly again and slowly uttered, âOh.â
Howard felt as if his punch had landed in a wad of absorbent cotton, his attack completely nullified.
Enraged, he muttered, âPete must have inherited his disability from you! No matter what you do, you canât keep your spirits up. What a wimp!â
Nora looked at him. âDo you believe me when I tell you heâll be able to beat you in a fight ten years from now?â
As strong as a five-year-old was, there was no way he could beat a trained martial artist like Howard.
But that wouldnât have to be the case ten years from now.
Howard scoffed and said, âOf course it would, after all he is Mr. Quinnâs disciple! But what are you proud of? Even if Mr. Quinnâs disciple was just a block of wood, he could beat me in a fight! Besides, itâs entirely because of Justin that Lord Quinn decided to take him as his disciple!â
âReally?â replied Nora sarcastically. However, it was precisely that simple sentence of hers that annoyed Howard a bit. He blurted out, âWhat kind of attitude is that, are you belittling Justin?â
Noraâs lips hitched into a smile. âWhy couldnât he have taken Pete on as a disciple because of me?â
Howard scoffed, âYou, you think youâre the Big Sister of the Quinn School of Martial Arts? You think you can get Mr. Quinn to accept a disciple that easily?â
Well, he really was.
Nora touched her nose and looked at Justin.
Justinâs lips curved into a smile.
What a jerk. He was in for a surprise later.
Justin wanted Howard to experience social death for despising Nora and Pete all the time. The nastier what he said at that moment, the more the slap in the face would hurt.
For that reason, Justin didnât bother to explain Noraâs identity to him.
Amid Howardâs complaints, the group finally entered the factory.
Upon seeing them, someone immediately shouted, âWho are you? What do you want?â
He had barely spoken when Howard lunged at him, slamming his fist into the man and leaving him stunned. His teeth had even been knocked loose and he spit out a few.
After punching the man, Howard deliberately turned to reveal to Nora the manâs miserable appearance. He had thought the woman would be terrified at the sight of him or, at the very least, turn pale, wouldnât she?
Unexpectedlyâ¦
Nora looked at the man and thenâ¦. sighed?
What kind of joke was this?
Should she yawn even at an exciting moment like this?
Howard was stunned.
But the next moment, he understood.
The woman must have had incredible mental stamina, otherwise Justin wouldnât have brought her here either. Hmph, she wasnât so useless after all. At least she didnât burst into tears like other women.
When Howard thought about this, he kept moving forward in a hurry.
At the place where Brenda and Morris were, their siege advanced rather quickly, causing Jude, who was in the abandoned steel mill, to rush towards Howardâs group with some of his martial arts experts. He planned to fight his way through them and fight his way to escape. As Nora quietly followed Justin while Howard and his men cleared the way, they encountered a group of people in a hallway.
There were eight of them in all. The one surrounded by the others was obviously Jude, who had long hair and blue eyes.
He was big and burly plus he had bulging muscles all over his body, giving him a very fierce look.
âDamn!â Said Howard, âWhy did we have to run into all eight of them?â
âWhatâs wrong?â asked Justin.
Howard replied, âThose eight men are known for their fighting skills, especially Jude. I thought they would split up and run away separately, but unexpectedly, they stayed togetherâ¦and we even ran into them. Justin, my men are no match for them. If we force our way through, they will probably get hurt.â
Howard didnât want his comrades, who saw him as their leader, to die for nothing. Those eight men were simply too strong; his brothers would only end up as cannon fodder.
Therefore, Howard wanted Justin to take action. Justin said slowly, âAll right, stand back everyone.â
Following his instructions, Howard led his men to position themselves behind Justin.
Seeing this, Jude laughed and said, âNot bad, thatâs very brave of you. In that case, today Iâll show them how powerful I am.â
Then, he said, âThat guy must be the strongest among them. Iâll keep him busy while the seven escape.â
âYes, sir!â
Justin said to Nora behind him, âIâll take care of Jude. Iâll leave the rest to you.â
Nora nodded.
Among the eight people, Jude was the only one who was a bit of trouble. The rest were no big deal.
Just as she was about to respond, Howard, who mistakenly thought Justin was addressing him, said loudly, âDonât worry, Justin, leave the rest to me! Even if I die, I wonât give them a chance to escape!â.
Nora: ââ¦â
That group was just riff-raff. Did it really have to be so dramatic?
