As soon as the voice was heard, everyone looked in unison at the woman standing next to Justin.
Nora was dressed casually in black street clothes with her hair slicked back. She looked lazy and relaxed as she stood, as if she was still half asleep.
However, the woman had a powerful presence that was hard to ignore.
Still, they all thought they must have misheard what she had just said. One by one, they looked at her. Someone asked incredulously, âM-Miss Smith, did you say something a moment ago?â
Nora yawned impatiently.
She was in no mood to go on with this show when the one in front of her was a reporter.
She couldnât be bothered to speak, so Justin â who usually didnât bother to speak either and usually let Lawrence speak for him â had no choice but to speak for her.
Justin let out a quiet sigh inwardly.
After striking up a relationship with Nora, even he found himself to be a neat person at times!
He immediately said, âYes, thatâs right, let me introduce you all. My fiancée is none other than Q. However, Q is just her alias. My fiancée has never done anything illegal under this identity.â
This was one of the reasons why it was okay for Qâs identity to be made public!
The whole place suddenly went silent. However, someone soon spoke up.
âNo wonder⦠no wonder Q was the one who counterattacked when that person invaded the network during Miss Smithâs visit to the villa. And no wonder Q was the one who built the villaâs internet firewallâ¦â
âMy goodness, people even said it was because Q had an affair with Miss Smith that he started working for the Smiths after Miss Smith returned to the familyâ¦. But it was the same Miss Smith! No wonder Q became the Smithâs network consultant after she returned to the family!â
âSo thatâs how it is. No wonder Mr. Hunt said heâs the one who was on a date with Miss Smith all along, and even when Qâs identity was exposed, his stance didnât changeâ¦. As it turned out, this was really just a misunderstanding!â
As everyone questioned Noraâs assertion, Laurenâs shrill voice interrupted them, of course. She exclaimed, âThatâs impossible! H-how is it possible that she could be Q?â
When Justin said it wasnât Q, Lauren had gotten very excited.
But, unexpectedly, Q was not Justin, but Nora!
No, that was absolutely impossible! It was definitely something they had come up with to try to manipulate public opinion!
He looked directly at Justin. âHow can they make up such stories, itâs impossible for her to be Q! Unless you can produce proof of it!â
Justin scoffed. But before he could speak, Nora suddenly asked, âYouâre not convinced?â
She looked at Lauren nonchalantly, and then at the reporters, who were obviously quite skeptical. She let out a laugh and said coolly, âIâm fine with them challenging me anytime they want.â
Her look instilled fear in them.
Who was going to continue to doubt her when she had already talked so much?
A video of Nora saying that, as well as the look in her eyes when she looked at the journalists, was filmed and then posted on the internet.
For a time, Nora became the target of everyoneâs adoration and admiration.
In fact, some came to think that her gaze was too cool, too alpha and too brazen. A group of people started calling her their husbando in the publication.
Just like that, the crisis of public opinion was resolved.
When the reporters left, Elder Mrs. Hunt looked at Nora with a complicated look and swallowed saliva. Suddenly, she asked, âAre you really Q?â
Nora did not speak.
However, Elder Mrs. Hunt continued alone. Her voice trembled as she said, âNot only are you Anti, but you are also Doctor Zabeâs direct disciple. And now, you are also really Qâ¦. What other identities do you have?â
Nora curved her lips in disdain, âI probably donât have any more, I donât remember.â
Justin: ââ¦â
Wasnât it more like he had too many identities and didnât know which one to mention?
Then he looked at Elder Mrs. Hunt and asked, âSo, Grandmother, do you still have any objections about Nora?â
Did she still have any objections about her?
To be honest, the reason Elder Mrs. Hunt found Nora so objectionable was actually the fact that she always seemed so lazy and sluggish all the time, as if she couldnât wake up at all. She just couldnât stand it.
But considering how impressive she was, how could I not see her in a new light?
Elder Mrs. Hunt clenched her jaw, reluctant to admit she had been wrong about Nora. âIf this was all a misunderstanding, why didnât you say so earlier? By doing so, arenât you letting the misunderstanding grow larger without a reason?â
Nora raised her eyebrows.
Tsk, the old woman was still trying to forcefully justify her actions!
However, the old woman was a bit conceited and not very honest with her feelings, so she couldnât change her way of thinking. He didnât want to bother with her.
Instead, it was Justin who suddenly said, âGrandmother, if I didnât pretend to be a fool, how could I make you see certain peopleâs true colors?â
Elder Mrs. Hunt was stunned. Puzzled, she asked, âWhat?â
Justin scoffed, âWho do you think spread the news to the public that Nora was keeping Q as a mistress? Also, do you think ordinary people can afford to hire a hacker like K to investigate Nora? Or are you saying that he was just being nosy, so he wanted to check it out for himself? Then he just happened to find out it was Q, and he also just happened to tell you about it. Am I right, Lauren?â
When Justin saw that Lauren was planning to leave, he looked directly at her as he said his last sentence and called out to her.
Lauren stopped.
Elderly Mrs. Hunt suddenly understood something. Immediately, she looked at her and exclaimed, âWas it you, didnât I already tell you, we can settle Hunt family matters ourselves! We shouldnât hang our dirty laundry out in public! And yet youâve blown the whole thing up for your own interests?â
Lauren wanted to explain. âMom, Iâ¦â
âDonât call me Mom! I donât have a daughter-in-law like you! Get out! Get out of the house! You are never allowed in the house again!â
Elder Mrs. Hunt banged her cane on the floor and ordered loudly.
Lauren and Herman could freely enter and leave Hunt Manor only because Elder Mrs. Hunt had agreed to let them into the mansion.
Besides, whatever happened, Justin couldnât stop a son from visiting his mother either, could he?
But now that Elder Mrs. Hunt had given the order, Lauren could forget about going back into the mansion.
With that, Lauren had been completely expelled from the Hunts.
After Elder Mrs. Hunt mercilessly kicked Lauren out of the mansion, she looked at Justin with a complicated expression.
After a while, the old lady murmured, âOh, Justinâ¦. Iâve grown old⦠Iâm not going to bother with the Huntâs affairs anymore!â.
After saying this, she let out a sigh. Fanny held her arm and supported the trembling old woman. Then the two of them left.
As Nora looked at the old womanâs hunched back, she knew that this one probably wouldnât cause her any more trouble in the future.
She looked at Justin. Just as she was about to speak, the butler suddenly entered. With a frown, he said, âSir, Madame Iris went out this morning to buy some ingredients for Pete and the others, but she hasnât returned yet. I have just called for her, as well as the men who accompanied her, but none of them have answered. Madame Iris⦠Sheâs disappeared!â
Justin frowned immediately. âWhat did you say!â
His voice suddenly became suddenly stern and grave. Iris⦠has disappeared?
He looked directly at Nora.
Nora understood something instantly. âIt must be Philip!â
Philip had arrived in New York recently, so everyone had been very attentive. However, Philipâs focus had remained on business disputes all along, so he had given them the misconception that he intended to win them through his fight in trade.
Who would have thought he would suddenly kidnap Iris?

In a villa in the suburbs of New York.
A cold Iris looked coldly at the man in front of her.
Twenty years later, the man had become both a relative and a stranger to her.
