Raymond stared at Sean.
Herman had noticed earlier that Sean had not raised his hand to accept, so he had shut his mouth early with a bad feeling in his heart.
When the inspector said this, everyone looked at him.
Without the inspector saying anything, everyone understood that the 5% shares in Seanâs hands were very important.
Therefore, Raymond interrupted him and asked, âWhat is the result, Sean has not accepted yet! Add Seanâs shares as well.â
When the inspector heard this, he looked at Sean weakly and waited for his choice.
Tas Raymond said, âSean, what are you waiting for, hurry up! Didnât you say Justin was unfair to you? Trust only Lawrence, who doesnât know how to do anything and only knows how to ask for favors all day, but he makes you work harder!â
Lawrence, who was lying down, was speechless.
He was really furious as he stood behind Justin.
What did he mean when he said he only knew how to ask for favors?
Who was he dissing, he was just trying to understand his bossâs thoughts!
Lawrence was furious.
Raymond kept driving a wedge between them. He spoke of all the discontent in Seanâs heart and forced him to take an enemy stance. âAnd when you bought 5% of the stock years ago, it was your family who supported you. At the time, he sold them to you at an above-market price. Youâve long hated that boss of yours, havenât you? Havenât you said so yourself? He doesnât trust you in company affairs.â
What he said was reasonable. It was obvious that he was really unhappy with Justin. If it had been anyone else, they would have argued when he said these words.
But Sean and Justinâ¦
The corners of Lawrenceâs mouth twitched and he couldnât help but curse inwardly.
What kind of nonsense was this, that Sean was the one who paid for the shares, the boss just wanted to inject capital into Hunt Corporation, thatâs why he used Sean!
If he didnât know the truth, he might have scolded Justin for treating Sean badly along with Raymond.
But in reality?
Lawrence knew better!
Sean was the person his boss trusted the most. The reason he wasnât put in an important position in the company was that he was also managing his business, OK?!
Lawrence was the most pitiful. He accompanied his boss every day and the boss only asked for foodâ¦.
As Lawrence thought about this, he felt like crying.
With that, Herman said, âSean, donât worry. This is a public place. He wonât dare do anything to you. Besides, youâre not betraying him. Youâre a shareholder, so you have your own choice!â
At this point, Herman and Raymond thought Sean was afraid of Justin.
After the two finished, Sean slowly said, âOkay.â
Raymond: âThen will you raise your hand?â
The inspector also looked at him weakly. âMr. Sean, do you approve of Mr. Herman becoming President of the Hunt Corporation?â
Sean said simply, âNo.â
ââ¦.â
For a moment, the entire meeting room was silent.
In the strange atmosphere, the inspector slowly said, âYesâ¦. Well, if Mr. Sean doesnât support it, then there are 17 people who support Mr. Herman as president of Hunt Corporation, one-sixth of the total number. The shares of all of them add up to⦠45.3%. There are less than half the number of people and shares, soâ¦the motion is defeated.â
With that, the inspector said, âNext, those who approve of Mr. Justinâs continuance as President of Hunt Corporation, please raise your hand.â
As soon as he said this, the other people in the office raised their hands.
Also!
Not only these people, but even those who had supported Herman raised their hands again. Someone even explained, âMr. Hunt, I had heard wrong. I had heard wrongâ¦â
Justin ignored these people.
But Raymond and Herman kept their eyes on Sean.
Sean raised his hand.
At that moment, they both knew that Sean had been pulling their leg.
Raymond was furious. He pointed at him and scolded, âSean, youâre good! So you were just messing with us? Heh, youâre a scoundrel. You deserve Justin to never put you in an important position.â
Sean said angrily, âI can make money without working, isnât that better?â
Raymond was speechless.
Herman narrowed his eyes.
The inspector said on cue, âThere are 90 people who support the continuation of Mr. Justin Hunt as President of Hunt Corporation. This totals 65% of the shares; the motion carries. Mr. Justin Hunt will remain as Chairman of the company.â
With that, everyone in the meeting room stood up and began to applaud.
Justin remained seated the entire time. When he raised his hand slightly, the applauding crowd instantly quieted. Then, he looked at Herman and said, âHave you gathered all the stockholders to see how embarrassed you are?â
Herman: âYouâ¦!â
âMeeting adjourned.â
Justinâs cold words blocked Hermanâs words. Then, he got up and walked briskly out. He didnât bother to talk to Herman.
However, Herman saw him walk out the door and got up to follow him. He shouted angrily, âJustin!â
Justin stopped in his tracks and looked at him.
Herman walked toward Justin.
A person of nearly 50 years old could not compare to Justinâs stature. Justinâs figure stood erect as he looked at Herman. From his dark eyes emanated an unfamiliar pressure and depth that made him difficult to comprehend.
In that moment, Herman suddenly understood that the son before him was not someone he could control.
Howeverâ¦
He narrowed his eyes and said quietly, âYou think you can protect Iris just because you beat me? Iâm not half as good as Philip! Heâs not stupid! You can still be the president, but I advise you not to fight Philip head-on. If he wants Iris, youâll have to send her with him! Otherwise, the Hunts will be ruined at your hands sooner or later!â
When Justin heard her words, he only felt mocked. He didnât even bother to look at him now as he moved forward.
Justin went downstairs and got into the car, driving towards the Hunts.
Lawrence and Sean helped him take care of the people in his company, now it was time to take care of the vermin!
âFelix, whatâs wrong with you, why did the heater stop again!â
Brenda grabbed Felix in exasperation and questioned him angrily.
Felix sat quietly and fiddled with his fingers. âMiss Brenda, I advise you not to interfere!â
Brenda held him by the collar of his shirt. âTry saying that again.â
Felix sounded very arrogant. âMiss Brenda, I advise you not to make any moves either. Otherwise, when the board meeting is over, there will only be one family left! The third branch, your third family, might also be expelled.â
Justinâs car slowly pulled into the driveway of Hunt Manor.
Felix and Brenda turned to look. Felix touched his stomach, which hurt from getting kicked yesterday, and smiled. âLook, he must have lost! Only losers rush to pack their bags. Mr. Herman and Mrs. Lauren are still with the company. They must be busy with the handover, their good days are over! You hit me yesterday, Iâll remember this! Heh!â
Brenda: â!â
She glared at Felix with hatred, but kept walking towards Justin.
When Justin walked in, all the servants in the house looked on, wanting to know the final outcome.
As Laurenâs vanguard, Felix made his way to Justinâs villa and planned to take the opportunity to taunt him. As he approached, he overheard Brenda ask, âJustin, how was the meeting?â
