After hanging up the phone, Nora followed Justin into the den.

Justin closed the door thoughtfully and looked at her with a smile. “What do you want to ask me?”

He was overjoyed.

He felt that Nora was finally willing to talk to him when he ran into a problem. This feeling of being needed gave him an indescribable sense of satisfaction.

Nora didn’t understand what he was smiling at. Instead, she looked at him.

Suddenly, she asked, “Do you know Eagle?”

Justin was taken aback for a moment. He asked hesitantly, “What?”

Nora was also a little surprised to see his expression.

Justin had always been very relaxed in front of her, but when she said the code name ‘Eagle’ just now, Justin didn’t react?

Wasn’t he Eagle?

During her hesitation, Justin asked again, “What Eagle, a codename ‘Eagle’? What organization is it from? That code name is too common. There are many…”

Although there was an Eagle in the Imperial League, the codename was simply too common. He had to ask and clarify it properly.

However, his reaction made Nora even more certain that it wasn’t Eagle.

Nora was silent for a long while.

When they joined the Imperial League, they had sworn that they would say nothing to outsiders about their existence. They were allowed to use the information they got from the organization to help their relatives, but they were not allowed to reveal the source of the information.

On the outside, they were not allowed to mention the Imperial League.

Earlier he had thought Justin was Eagle, which was why he had told her he wanted to ask her about someone.

But if Justin wasn’t Eagle, she couldn’t talk to him about anything related to the Imperial League, let alone ask him who King was.

Nora had always been a rule-abiding person.

So, in the end, she opted not to ask any more questions on the subject. She said, “It doesn’t matter, it’s nothing.”

Justin: “?”

He wanted to say something, but the butler was knocking on the door. He had to let him in.

The butler asked, “Sir, do you need anything?”

Justin thought for a while and replied, “I’m throwing a birthday party for Pete and Cherry to celebrate their fifth birthday in five days. Make the necessary arrangements.”

His words stumped the butler.

For wealthy families like the Hunts, if they wanted to have a birthday party, they had to make reservations and other arrangements in advance. After all, it would now be too late to do anything bespoke.

But since Justin had said the word, even if it was too late, they had to do it in time.

The butler asked, “Is this going to be a big party or a small one?”

Justin replied, “Send an invitation to all our friends and family.”

There was no need to invite his associates. In fact, he planned to introduce Cherry to everyone, but it wasn’t necessary to invite so many people.

Still, after inviting all their friends and family…it would still be a medium-sized party.

In the Hunt’s case, they could expect almost a thousand guests for a medium-sized party.

Although the butler was concerned, he immediately lowered his head and said, “Yes, sir.”

He was in a hurry to leave after saying that, so he asked, “Do you have any other orders, sir?”

“No.”

“Good, then I’ll go make preparations right away.”

He would have to take care of preparing the party invitations, the menu, as well as all the deployment of servants. In addition, since there would be many guests that day, he would also have to prepare enough parking space and arrange for security personnel.

The Hunts would probably be very busy soon.

Justin’s sentence had put the butler up to his ears in work.

Before leaving the room, the butler stopped suddenly and looked back at Justin. He asked, “Is this Young Mr. Pete and Young Miss Cherry’s birthday party?”

“Yes,” Justin replied with a nod of his head.

With that, the butler understood and left.

Elsewhere, when Nora finished minding her own business, she didn’t stay any longer. After all, she had ended up wasting some time giving Charles medical treatment. Therefore, she was going home to sleep.

The strange thing, however, was that Pete, who normally followed her everywhere, had taken the initiative to say that he wanted to stay at the Hunts, saying that if he went with her to the Smiths, it might affect Nora’s rest.

Nora could only agree to his request. After thinking it over, she asked Pete to step aside and said earnestly, “Pete, don’t bully the kid, OK?”

Pete was quiet for a moment as he listened to her. Then he cocked his head to the side and asked, “But what if he bullies Mom?”

Nora smiled and ruffled his hair. Her voice was very low but reassuring as she said, “I know Pete is a filial child, but no one is capable of bullying Mom. Okay?”

Pete looked at her.

Nora was very tall. At the moment she only reached his waist. In his eyes, his mommy was gentle and strong.

Pete had never needed anyone or anything to protect him, but in front of his mother all his sneaky thoughts and conspiracies were undone, wanting only to be the most polite child in front of her.

He relaxed and nodded. “Okay, Mommy!”

When she left, Pete and Cherry got back together.

Cherry asked, “Pete, are we still going to keep Xander away?”

Pete was silent for a long moment before finally answering, “We’re going to put all our plans on hold for now. We will only take action if Xander bullies Mom, or if Mom suffers an injustice because of him. We will absolutely not tolerate his existence in the family.”

“Okie-Dokie!”

Cherry clapped her hands. But then she suddenly realized something: Why was she so glad they weren’t pushing Xander away anymore?

It must be that she found Xander really pitiful that he didn’t have a mom!

She would never admit that she liked Xander just a little bit. After the two kids talked to each other, they went upstairs hand in hand to play in the room upstairs.

Neither of them saw Xander leave on one side.

He stood angrily looking in the direction the twins had gone out.

He was even carrying his favorite book on human anatomy in his hand, as well as a doll detailing the structure of a human’s body.

At first, for Cherry’s sake, he had wanted to befriend Pete. Even though Pete said it was so boring to play building blocks with him, he had gone back upstairs to get his favorite toy.

But he hadn’t expected to hear such talk.

Did they want to push him away?

They were too much of a bully.

They were all daddy’s kids, and this was daddy’s house too. Why would they kick him out just because he didn’t have the same birthday as them?

The boy clenched his fists. Suddenly, he turned around and went back upstairs.

After entering his bedroom, the angry Xander threw the doll in his hand to the floor. Instantly, the doll shattered into pieces.

A hostile look appeared in Xander’s eyes.

At that moment, his phone rang.

Xander took the call. Trueman’s slightly evil, slightly shrill voice came from the other end. “My dearest Xander, how have you been?”.

“… Fine. By the way, Dad, when’s my birthday?”.

When Trueman heard this, he paused. Suddenly, he laughed and replied, “September 8. Why?”

September 8! His birthday was the same as Cherry and Pete’s .
