When Brenda left her office, she headed for the entrance of the special department. But when she dialed Morris’s number, she discovered that his phone was turned off.

She frowned.

When she turned to go back, she found that SWAT agents were blocking her way.

Brenda narrowed her eyes and stared at them. “How dare you stop me?”

The two replied, “Captain Brenda, we are currently questioning Nora Smith. She is not from the interrogation unit, so she is not allowed in your office.”

Brenda immediately scoffed, “Is that right?”

She immediately rolled up her sleeves and said, “See if you can stop me, then!”.

He then went on the offensive right away.

In no time, he had knocked both agents to the ground. Only then did Brenda dust off her hands and continue walking forward.

However, the other people at the door again blocked her path. Brenda glared at them. “Are you sure you want to go against me?”.

Startled, Brenda looked at her.

With the SWAT agents between them, Nora told her, “You’ll only be detained with me if you come back. It’s more comfortable outside. Why don’t you go home for now.”

Brenda took a deep breath, turned around and started walking outside. “I’m going to go get Justin right now, Nora!”.

Seeing that Brenda was gone, Nora went back into the room.

She closed the curtains and looked at Brenda’s white couch.

That woman sure knew how to enjoy life. There was even a fluffy white blanket on the couch that was perfectly suited for lying on. Nora could almost imagine Brenda’s lazy, charming look as she lay on it. She shook her head, walked over and lay down.

She would catch up on sleep.

In the other room, Ruth stared at the monitor that showed what was going on in Brenda’s office.

The surveillance cameras were just installed, but she could already see Nora lying on the couch.

She bit her lip. Suddenly, he said to the person next to him, “Go over there and do this…”.

As she finished speaking, a doubtful look appeared on the countenance of the person next to her. “Isn’t that a little inappropriate, Ruth? After all, Nora is also a member of the special department.”

The man sighed. He could only leave the room.
