Captain Johnsonâs pupils constricted as he stared ahead in a daze. âWhat did he say, did he get up?â
âYes!â Janson couldnât hide the excitement in his voice. âYou know Quentinâs previous situation. He had all his bones broken, but three days after he was injected with the gene serum, he stood up!â
Captain Johnson swallowed spittle.
He really did stand up.
If the genetic serum could remake broken bones, could it also remake damaged brain cells? Therefore, would Old Terry have a cure?
Captain Johnsonâs mind exploded.
If Old Terry woke up, everything he had done would be exposed.
No, this was all part of that womanâs plan. Quentin couldnât have gotten up.
âUncle Johnson, you really just saw a medical miracle. Itâs just too impressive. I didnât expect the effect to be so good. Three days⦠Just three days! Quentin stood up. If they inject my father with the drug, will he be able to wake up? Uncle Johnson, Uncle Johnson, are you listening?â
âIâm listening.â Captain Johnson came to. âIâll go to the hospital immediately.â
âOkay.â
After hanging up, Captain Johnson got up, put on his jacket and headed straight for the hospital.
Creeak!
Captain Johnsonâs car stopped in front of the door. He got out of the car and ran toward the VIP room. In the distance, Justin sat in the front passenger seat of a car. After seeing Captain Johnson enter, he turned around and looked at the back seat.
Nora was lying down to catch up on sleep. She had a cap covering her face. She was hugging her arms and her long legs were slightly bent on the narrow seat.
As soon as she turned, Noraâs cold, husky voice was heard. âIs he here?â
âShe just came in.â
Justin said calmly, âYou go to sleep. Iâll keep an eye on him.â
âOkay,â Nora replied lazily. She looked like she didnât even have the strength to speak.
No one knew that she hadnât slept at all for the past three days.
To outsiders, Quentin had only received an injection of gene serum and had slowly recovered. However, no one knew how much he had done in privateâ¦.
Nora was not usually very energetic and only resorted to sleep to replenish her energy. At the time, she had not slept for three days in a row. She left the hospital with dark circles under her eyes. When she saw Justinâs car, she slipped inside without a word and plopped down.
Justin didnât dare move, fearing that, if he did, he would make a rubbing noise that would disturb her. When he saw the womanâs exhausted expression, his heart ached.
Usually, this woman even felt that her appointments would delay her sleep, not to mention three days of sleeplessnessâ¦.
She was very worried that Nora would sleep 72 hours like last time!
However, she seemed to know she had unfinished business. Therefore, even though she was lying down, she was still paying attention outsideâ¦.
As Justin was thinking this, he saw Nora suddenly take off her cap and rub her slightly greasy hair. He said in a slightly frustrated tone, âForget it, I canât sleep.â
With that, she opened the car door, put on her cap and walked towards the hospital.
His legs seemed to have lost walking strength, and his shuffling steps were becoming more and more intense. In addition, he had a cold expression and his whole body was filled with an aura that prevented others from approaching.
Justin got out of the car and was about to follow when he suddenly heard Cherryâs familiar voice. âMommy ~â Justin unconsciously turned his head and saw Cherry get out of Seanâs car and run over.
Nora stopped in her tracks as well.
âMommy, I miss you so much! I havenât seen you in days. I missed you so much.â Cherry ran over to Nora and held out her little hand. Just as she was about to speak, Nora turned her head and looked at her.
The rest of Cherryâs words got stuck in her throat. Her little body shook hard. Then, her hand moved in another direction, and her words became, âDaddy, hug-â
Justin: ââ¦â
He lowered his head and lifted it. He saw Nora glaring at him and moved forward.
Cherry remained obediently in Justinâs arms until Nora pulled away. Then, she leaned into Justinâs ear and softly asked, âHow long has Mommy been awake?â
âSeventy-two hours,â Justin replied.
âTskâ¦â Cherry gasped. âItâs over. From what I understand from Mom, sheâs in the nuclear stage!â.
Justin: â?????â
Cherry struggled to get off.
Justin put her down. Perhaps it was his actions that turned Noraâs head back.
Cherry immediately said earnestly, âMommy, I suddenly remembered that I didnât finish my homework. Now Iâm going back to Uncle Sean.â
Noraâs face was expressionless. Her almond-shaped eyes stared at her. After three seconds, she finally nodded.
Cherry immediately felt forgiven. She said to Justin, âDad, good luck.â Then, she ran to Sean happily.
Justin: ââ¦â
This little smarty-pants noticed Noraâs bad mood and quickly slipped away. Justin shook his head and followed her next to Nora. Then, he reached out and wrapped his hand around her waist.
When his hand touched her, he could clearly feel her body stiffen. A violent aura lingered around her, as if a storm was about to descend.
Nora was really going crazy. Other women had strange personalities during their periods and would easily explode at the slightest annoyance, but not her. Normally she didnât care about others. Only when she couldnât get enough sleep, the slightest upset could drive her crazy.
At this moment, no one dared to approach her.
When this manâs hand was placed on her waist, Nora felt a wave of evil fire seem to have found a way to vent. However, when she turned her head, the manâs cooling aura came closer. In fact, it made her feel as if a volcano had touched a stream of icy water. All her frustration was suppressed by the quiet, refreshing aura.
Nora pursed her lips and breathed hard.
The man reached up and removed her cap. He stroked her hair as if he were stroking a fur. Nora was like a wild cat about to explode. Her temper slowly calmed down.
Maybe because she had just taken a nap in the car?
Suddenly, Nora felt that she wasnât so tired anymore.
Then she headed for the VIP lounge.
Out of the lounge.
Captain Johnson still couldnât believe Quentin could get up. Janson could have been fooled by Nora. He had to see for himself.
He and Janson reached outside Quentinâs room and looked through the glass window. He saw Quentin holding the table beside him awkwardly and moving his feet slowly .
