At the hospital.

Quentin was lying down with a serious expression.

Lily was by his side and looking at his vitals on the monitors. Quentin was now completely out of danger. His physical indicators had returned to normal. Other than the broken bones that had not healed, there was no danger.

He lay there, weakly, staring at the ceiling.

Then the door was pushed open.

Nora ushered in Janson and another member of the special department.

Quentin looked at her and said in surprise, “Sister, have you changed men again?” Did you even change two men at once?

Nora: “?”

She frowned and didn’t react to his words. Next to her, Lily coughed. Quentin stopped talking instantly.

Quentin was like a stupid teenager.

Nora ignored his words and said, “I’ve found a way to treat you.”

Quentin’s eyes instantly lit up as he looked at her. “I knew you could do it! Treat me fast. I’m bored out of my mind, AND I keep getting harassed every day!”

With that, he glared at Lily angrily.

Nora followed his gaze and looked at Lily in confusion. She saw that Lily was looking to the side. Lily didn’t even dare to look her in the eye.

Nora: “…”

She didn’t speak and just looked at Lily silently. After a while, Lily couldn’t help but say, “Okay, okay. I admit it. Boss, I just pinched her face!”

“Did you just pinch my face?” shouted Quentin angrily.

Lily: “…Oh, I touched his chest.”

Nora and Quentin continued to watch her confess.

Lily: “…I touched his thigh.”

Nora was still not speaking.

Lily was anxious. “That’s it! Oh, right, and his Adam’s apple.”

Quentin looked like he had been humiliated.

Lily was shocked. “Why are you complaining to my boss like that? What if she fires me or lowers my salary? Don’t say anything else. I’ll be responsible.”

“Okay.”

Quentin’s expression was matter-of-fact. After saying this, he looked at Nora. “What’s the treatment method, what are these two men here for?”

Nora was silent for a moment before explaining, “I’m using the genetic serum I extracted to treat you now. Since we don’t know how effective it is or if there are any side effects, these two are here to record your reactions.”

Hearing this, Quentin immediately pursed his lips. “Heh, as a peerless expert, I won’t make a sound even if you scrape my bones to treat my wounds. Come on!”

Then, he acted as if he was going to the execution ground.

Nora raised her eyebrows.

She had said it on purpose.

Quentin loved to show off. He had deliberately told her that those two people were here to watch him. Quentin would be very cooperative and not make any noise.

Treating broken bones was very painful, but she couldn’t use anesthesia. Quentin had to endure it all on his own.

Nora thought about this and nodded. Then, she said to Lily, “Let’s get started.”

Janson and the medical examiner from another department stood by and watched them.

Janson had to confirm that this medicine was really useful. Otherwise, he wouldn’t dare let Nora use it on her father.

Everyone in the special department knew that, although the genetic serum sounded good, it was actually a drug used to produce monsters.

Looking at the fate of those who had used this drug, they were all either insane or dead. No one was unscathed. As he was thinking, he saw Nora take out a medical box. She opened the box with a serious expression and carefully took out a glass vial.

Then Nora brought out a syringe and drew half of the serum from the glass vial.

The glass tube was crystal clear, and the genetic serum was clear and colorless.

Janson swallowed. The special department medical examiner next to him, named Mark, asked, “Is this the genetic serum?”

Nora nodded and said, “I have extracted it from his blood and refined it. You can guarantee that this genetic serum is good.” With that, she looked at Quentin and asked with a grave expression, “I cannot guarantee what the end result will be if you inject this drug. Brother, I’ll ask you one last time, are you really not afraid?”

Quentin just lay there and looked at her with a serious expression. Suddenly he asked, “What did you call me?”

Nora lowered her almond-shaped eyes. She looked obedient, but her aura was cold and stern. He said again, “Brother.”

It was the first time Nora had called him brother.

The Big Sister of Quinn Martial Arts School, an existence respected by everyone, actually called him brother.

Quentin was very excited. He nodded and said, “Don’t hesitate. Come.”

Nora took a deep breath. Looking at her, she seemed to be very uneasy.

Then, she approached Quentin and lifted the needle to insert it into his arm.

A few moments later, Nora suddenly pressed down on the broken joint in his arm and asked, “Does it hurt here?”

The moment she pressed it, although Quentin said nothing, his expression instantly turned fierce.

It must have hurt like hell. It was so painful that a cold sweat broke out on his forehead, and his veins bulged. However, he gritted his teeth and made no sound.

Janson and Mark could stand it no longer and frowned.

Nora sighed. “Quentin, if it hurts, scream…”.

Quentin gritted his teeth. The words almost came out of his throat. “That!!!! No! It hurts!”

Janson and Mark: “…”

Lily couldn’t take it anymore. She walked up to the two of them and said, “You two, get out. Quentin has too much pride. If you’re here, he won’t scream even if it hurts. It’s not good for him to hold it in.”

Both Janson and Mark nodded and the two left the room.

“Ah!”

Almost as soon as they were out the door, a bloodcurdling scream filled the room, followed by Quentin’s cries of pain and muttering.

Mark couldn’t help but say, “This is too torturous.”

Janson nodded.

Just then, his phone rang. He picked it up and saw the message from Captain Johnson. “How’s the treatment going?”

Janson answered the voice message, “I can’t see anything yet, but the side effects of that drug are really huge. Listen to this, this scream…”

Janson pulled the phone away from his ear and turned it toward the living room.

A faint moan came from inside.

Hearing it, Captain Johnson sighed. “Janson, why do I feel Nora is too unreliable, do you really think she can revive people?”

Janson swallowed saliva. For some reason, he remembered Quentin’s determination earlier. He suddenly said, “Maybe? Uncle Johnson, for my father’s sake, I want you to try.”

“…Okay, I respect your decision.”

In the special department, Captain Johnson hung up the phone. He paced back and forth in the office, glancing occasionally out the door.

He seemed deep in thought.

At first he had refused to believe that the genetic serum could create a medical miracle. But why now he suddenly felt a little unsure?

What if, what if Nora really did cure Old Terry’s illness, what should he do!
