There was a searing look in the manâs eyes.
Sensing Noraâs resistance, he went no further. Instead, he reached out and touched her lips. Then, he laughed again and said, âI want moreâ¦â.
As Nora was about to speak, the man sighed and said, âBut what a pity.â
Seeing that he wasnât planning to go any further, Nora breathed a sigh of relief. However, she asked, âWhatâs the matter?â
Justin looked at her. âItâs a shame weâre at the Smithâs right now. Besides, your father seems a little hostile toward me, so I have to take it easy. If he sees us, it will be even harder for me to take you as a wife.â
Hearing his aggrieved voice, Nora replied, âWhat else did you intend to do if we werenât at the Smithsâ?â
Although she spoke stiffly and a bit flirtatiously, you could still hear the shyness in her voice.
Justin smiled and took a step closer. âKiss you some more.â
Nora: ââ¦â
The man continued. âIâm still not tired of kissing you.â
âIf we were in a room where there was no one to bother us, and I didnât have to worry about your father seeing us, I think I could kiss you for a whole day.â
Noraâs cheeks grew even redder and she glared at him. âYouâre shameless!â
Justin sighed. âI used to think I was a serious man. Brenda even used to call me âblandâ all the time; after all, I didnât dare listen to her words all day. But now, all of a sudden, I understand her.â
âWhat do you understand?â
Justin let out a low chuckle. âWith you, I canât help but want to act brazen all the time.â
Nora was on the verge of being unable to listen to him any longer. Just then, Louis, who was humming a little tune, approached. To get from the parking lot to the house, he would have to walk past them.
Nora nudged Justin and said, âHurry up, get out!â
Justin looked at her reluctantly. âSo⦠Iâll come again tomorrow?â
Nora ignored him. She turned around and went into the house.
Justin hurriedly hid behind a large tree. He waited for Louis to walk by before coming back out. As he brushed his lips, he let out a sigh that sounded like he hadnât had enough yet.
Ianâs fists were already hard as iron!!!!!
He took a deep breath. Suddenly, he turned and called for the butler.
When the butler entered, Ian ordered him, âInstall lights in this area outside my window⦠no, install lights in every part of the villa tomorrow!â
The butler: â?â

Nora walked into the living room. Before she could go upstairs, Louis had already entered the room with his bleached blonde hair.
Seeing Nora, the young man, who was in a good mood, waved and shouted, âNora!â.
Nora nodded to him.
Louis looked at her suspiciously. âNora, why are your lips so swollen?â. Noraâs cheeks instantly turned red. However, she had always been a quiet person, so she coughed and shoved her clumsy hands into her pockets and replied coldly, âOh, I ate something spicy just now.â
â⦠No wonder your face is so red too. I thought you had a fever!â
Nora: ââ¦â
She turned around annoyed and started to head for the second floor. Louis called, âBy the way, I found out today that some of my puppies and kittens are sick. Can you take a look at them? Thereâs no hurry, you can come with me tomorrow.â
If it had been any other time, Nora would have accepted without question.
However, she had become angry at the embarrassment she had just been through, so she said, âIâm not a veterinarian!â
She went upstairs after saying that.
Louis: â?â
He scratched his head in bewilderment. His cousin looked angry, but she didnât look angry either. It didnât matter, heâd just take the dogs and cats to the vet the next day! With that in mind, Louis was about to head upstairs, ready to go to his room to get cleaned up and then play some games. But when he turned around, he saw Ian in his wheelchair looking at him silently. There was a trace of⦠A satisfied, relieved smile on his face?
Louis shuddered.
He stood up straight, startled, and called out respectfully, âHello, Uncle Ianâ¦â.
Ian smiled and said, âDo you have enough money for your expenses, Louis?â.
Louis unconsciously reached his hand to the dozens of cards in his pocket. His eyes widened and he asked warily, âUncle Ian, whatâs the matter?â
Did Uncle Ian intend to confiscate his money?
After all, Joel had controlled his pocket money because Uncle Ian had started doing it.
The next moment, however, his Uncle Ian gave him a kind gesture and said, âHereâs $150,000. You can spend it any way you want.â
Louis: â?????â
He took the money with trepidation. He didnât quite understand why Uncle Ianâs personality had suddenly changed. However, the naive Louis didnât bother to think about it. He had only one thought on his mind at the moment: he now had the money for his petsâ medical expenses at the vet tomorrow.

At New York Medical College.
Lisa woke up in the morning. As the only graduate student under Antiâs tutelage, the dean had given her a single dorm room, so her living conditions were very good. She got up, washed up and headed to the school cafeteria for breakfast.
As soon as she walked in, she felt people looking at her and gesturing.
Lisa ducked her head and grabbed something to eat. With the lunch box in her hand, she made her way to an empty seat. Just as she was about to take a seat, the person next to her suddenly said, âSorry, friend, the seat is taken.â
Lisa didnât think much of it. She nodded and made her way to the other side with the lunch box.
However, she had only taken a couple of steps when the other person sitting at the table said, âBut the seatâs not taken, is it?â
The companion who had pushed her away didnât bother to lower his voice, as if he wanted her to hear him. He replied, âYes, it isnât, but I donât want to sit down to eat at the same table as a scumbag.â
Lisa was taken aback.
Another student immediately asked, âWho is she, why is she a piece of trash?â
âSheâs Antiâs only student! Just because Anti has acquired some knowledge of modern medicine abroad, she has forgotten her roots. Isnât a person like her a piece of trash? How can her students be good?â
âHuh? I see, itâs Anti! She was originally my idol, but this time she has gone too far. Modern medicine and alternative medicine have already been at loggerheads all these years, how can he so openly despise alternative medicine?â
The group of people immediately launched into an argument.
Lisa bit her lip. If they had insulted her, she would have put up with it. However, she couldnât tolerate them insulting Nora, so she said, âThe truth is not what you people say it is!â
