âHillary is dead.â
Tanya looked at Nora as she spoke.
She looked at her in surprise and disbelief. Nora frowned. âWhatâs going on?â
âI donât know.â
gⱯlnÏνð®ðsï¹ð¬ððº, the heart of fiction Tanya pointed to her phone. âI just got word that heâs brain dead. The doctors just took him off the ventilator.â
She unconsciously clenched her fists and took a deep breath. âThis could be his retribution!â
Nora felt that this matter was a little strange.
Two days ago, she had gone to see Hillary and taken her pulse. Hillary was indeed in a coma and she might have been able to find out the specific reason with a blood test. At the time, he was concerned that Hillary was pretending to be sick and escaping from prison. After confirming that she was indeed ill, she was relieved.
Later, Elaine took charge of Hillary. Also, because of her special status, Nora no longer paid attention to her.
But why was she dead?
She frowned when the butler came in and said, âMiss Nora, someone from the police station has come. They saidâ¦â
He swallowed saliva. âThey have said that further investigation has revealed that Hillaryâs death was a murder . As for the murderer, they have sufficient evidence and have come to arrest the culprit.â
Murdererâ¦
Nora frowned. âWhatâs going on?â
How could the Smiths be related to the murderer?
The butler didnât understand either. At that moment, the police rushed in and said, âWe already have evidence of your murder. Please turn yourself in immediately.â
Nora: ââ¦â
She thought carefully. Two days ago, she had only seen Hillary in the operating room. At that time, there were surveillance cameras in the OR, so those people couldnât have framed her. The policemen moved toward her. Nora sighed slightly. Why she was destined for jailâ¦.
Last time Old Maddy got sick, it was the same thing. This time, it was the same thingâ¦
She had originally planned to follow the clues and find out who the mysterious person was who had come to New York. However, he hadnât expected things to turn out this way.
As she sighed, the police officer walked past and behind her. He pulled out some handcuffs and cuffed Tanya.
Nora: â!!!â
Were the police officerâs words directed at Tanya?
But how was that possible?
Tanya looked shocked as she looked at the cop in confusion. âWhat are you doing, why did you stop me?â
The police officer said, âYou are suspected of murdering Hillary. We have material evidence and witnesses, So we arrest you now! Please donât resist.â
Tanya was stunned. âWhat, how could I have killed someone?â
Nora also made a quick decision to block the policeâs path. She asked in a deep, calm voice, âWhatâs going on, do they have a warrant for your arrest, whatâs the evidence? Also, please show your police badge â do you really think you can just walk in and arrest whoever you want?â
The cop didnât expect Nora to be so domineering. He first pulled out his police badge and showed it to her before showing the arrest warrant.
The arrest warrant was real. Nora couldnât stop them. After all, if she really did arrest them and they escaped, it would mean they had fled for their crimes and their guilt would be confirmed. Nora looked at Tanya and calmly said, âYou go first. I will contact the lawyer immediately and prepare to post bail.â
Tanya took a deep breath and nodded. âOkay.â
When the police brought Tanya out, Jill arrived as well. When she saw Tanya, her eyes were red and she looked like she had gone crazy. âTanya! You killed Hillary! I knew it. you always wanted her dead! you are a ruthless person! murderer! I should have strangled you to death when you were young! I should have thrown you to your death! A person like you should not have appeared in this world!â
She rushed toward Tanya in a rage, but the police stopped her.
Someone stopped Jill. Her hands and feet tried to claw toward her, but she couldnât touch Tanya.
She continued to curse. âYou killed my daughter. I donât want to live anymore, but before I die, Iâll take you with me! I will make you pay.â
The police formed a protective circle around Tanya.
She looked at Jill in shock.
The person in front of her had already gone crazy. It was obvious that she had decided to go all out. It was courage that allowed her to risk her life for her daughter.
It wasnât about profit, it was about true selfless maternal love.
But if she loved her daughter so much, why was she always so cold to Tanya? Tanya looked at Hillary in confusion and muttered, âIâm not your daughter?â
âNo! I donât have a daughter like you! Youâre a murderer! You will die a horrible death. I will curse you to go to the deepest pits of hell after you die!â
ââ¦â
These extremely evil thoughts and curses caused Tanya to slowly withdraw her gaze.
She said nothing more and followed the police to the car.

In the hospital morgue.
Elaine paced around Hillaryâs corpse. She frowned and inspected the marks on the corpse. She said, âThere are scratches on the victimâs body. Her fingernails have been torn off, which means she suffered an intense struggle when she was alive. We have detected a drug of unknown composition in her body. Our initial estimate is that it is poison. We are certain that she died from the poison.â
After the examination, the nurse at Elaineâs bedside could not help but say, âDr. Elaine, could her death be related to her earlier unconsciousness? Could it be that she had been poisoned in prison and became ill from it? We just didnât realize it.â
These words made Elaine clench her fists tightly. She looked at the nurse with a sharp glare. âWhat nonsense are you talking about? Indeed, we couldnât find out the reason for her coma, but we didnât find anything in her blood either? It was clearly after Tanya saw her that she died from the poisoning!â
The young nurse said, âButâ¦â
âBut what?â Elaine glared at her. âAre you a doctor or am I? Even if a coroner comes to investigate, THIS would be the only trial!â
The young nurse gritted her teeth. She knew this matter had to be resolved this way.
Otherwise, it would mean that Elaineâs medical skills were poor and that she could not treat Hillary well.
Howeverâ¦
He couldnât help but say, âThereâs also Dr. Anti!â
What if the international expert could notice the real cause?
However, as soon as she said this, Elaine smiled. âSheâs already dead. Do you think a random doctor can examine her body? With me around, even a medical examiner wonât be able to touch her.â
She added, âDonât worry. Unless someone from the special department comes, no one can overrule my judgment!â
