Hillary didnât sense anything unusual even when she heard what the other woman said. Although she had been very afraid and panicked when she first entered the prison, she soon discovered that she was treated slightly better than other female prisoners. On several occasions, someone had tried to make things difficult for her, but someone else had turned them down for her.
Later, Jill visited her and filled her in on some of the developments. She also told her that Karl would definitely save her and told her not to worry.
Thus, Hillary had completely reassured her.
When she heard what the other woman said, she stretched out her leg and said, âGive me a leg massage. The bed in the cell is too hard. I didnât sleep well last night, Iâm very tiredâ¦â.
The prisoner lowered her gaze and slowly squatted down. âSure!â
She reached down and held Hillaryâs leg. While the prisoner hadnât applied any force yet, Hillary ordered, âBy the way, text my dad and tell him to send me some sleepwear and stuffâ¦oh, and skin care products tooâ¦. I didnât have any product after washing my face today, my skin is really dryâ¦â
She had just said that when she suddenly felt a sharp pain in her leg. The pain made her mouth snap open. She was about to scream when someone covered her mouth.
Then, another person came running up.
Hillaryâs eyes widened. The next moment, the prisoner giving her the massage suddenly raised her head and flashed her a smile. Then, she pressed harder!
âUghâ¦â
Hillary was in so much pain that she was covered in cold sweat all over her body. However, the woman showed no sign of stopping!
Wom When the prisonersâ recreation time was over, Hillary had been taught a good lesson. Returning to her cell with the rest of the prisoners, she immediately took off her clothes. Her body was covered with bruises and some places were beginning to swell, making an unbearable sight!
Tears immediately rolled down her cheeks. âHillary, you have a visitor.â She stood up abruptly. When she came out, she saw a pathetic-looking Jill standing in the room.
The agonized woman hugged Jill immediately. âMom, youâre finally here! Iâm going to be hounded to death! Quick, tell Karl that the people he sent to protect me are harassing me every day! Make Karl take revenge for me and kill them!â
His eyes were filled with hatred.
Jillâs eyes reddened as she listened to her. âItâs been hard on you, Hillary! But thereâs nothing we can do about it right now!â
Hillary looked up immediately. It was then that she noticed that Jillâs cheek was also red and swollen on one side. Stunned, she asked, âWhat happened to you?â Jill hugged her and wept bitterly. When the visiting session was over, Hillary hugged her and cried, âMom! Mom, you have to save me! Iâll die if you donât save me! Iâll really die!â
According to the publicâs wishes, Hillary had been sentenced to life in prison.
The moment she thought she would be in jail for the rest of her life, she felt acute despair engulfing herâ¦.
Jill clenched her fists tightly as she watched her daughter being led away in tears.
No, she mustnât let her daughterâs life be ruined like this!!!!

At the Smiths.
Tanya was playing with Mia and the others.
Nora was sitting quietly on the couch. Joel and Justin were sitting on the other side.
Cherry, who was sitting cross-legged, was playing with her phone.
Pete was watching Mia and Cherry. For once, he wasnât doing Math Olympiad exercises. The family formed a happy, harmonious sight, but in reality, they were waiting for Lilyâs final DNA test results.
If busy Lily saw what they currently looked like, she would probably call them âevil capitalistsâ!
Suddenly, the butler entered the room. He looked a little embarrassed as he said, âSir, Elder Mr. Smith is here.â
The guest was Samuel Smith, Ianâs Third Uncle who lived in the Smith ancestral home. He was also the one who had defended Yvonne earlier.
Joel raised his eyebrows.
Samuel had helped Yvonne make a scene at the hospital the other time, but to no avail. After that, he had left while Yvonne was arrested and taken to jail.
Why was she here this time? Joelâs brows furrowed, but it wasnât as if he could throw his elders out of the house, so he said dispassionately, âLet him in.â
The butler nodded. A short time later, Samuel entered with a woman who looked to be in her late forties to early fifties.
Joel looked at the two of them. Then, he looked down and said, âGreat Uncle Samuel, Great Aunt Sue.â
Sue had married into the family after Samuelâs first wife passed away. There was a shrewd, capable look in her eyes.
Her eyes, which had a lot of life in them, looked at Joel. Then he smiled and said, âJoel, itâs been so long since weâve seen each other! I heard there was some trouble at home, so Samuel and I immediately rushed to visit you.â
Samuel let out a cold laugh.
Sue immediately pinched his arm, preventing Samuel from speaking.
He looked at the two women in the living room.
Then, he stepped forward, took Noraâs hand eagerly and said, âYou must be Nora, right? You look just like a Smith! Youâre so beautiful! I hear you are engaged to Mr. Hunt.â She looked at Justin cheerfully.
Justin, who was unaware of all the ins and outs of the family, nodded politely at her.
Before Nora could say anything, Sue took off the bracelet in her hand and slipped it into Noraâs. âEven though youâve gone back to the Smiths, Aunt Sue doesnât have much to give you. Here, you can entertain yourself with this bracelet for now.â
Nora: â?â
She narrowed her eyes slightly and handed the bracelet back to him. âI canât accept it. Itâs too expensive a gift.â
âAw,â Sue said, âWhatâs so valuable about this? I have a distant relative in this business who knows a lot about antiques.â
âNora, I know there was a little misunderstanding between you and Samuel earlier, but weâre all Smiths here. Weâre all connected to each other, no matter what. You wonât hold it against him, will you?â
Nora: ââ¦â
Sue was simply too eloquent!!!!!
She coughed. Just as she was about to say something, Sue slipped the bracelet back into her hand and turned to Tanya.
The look in her eyes was no longer so humble.
She said with a smile, âYou must be Miaâs mother, the one whoâs been caught up in all that drama recently, right?â
The kids had already been taken upstairs to play when the two of them walked in.
Justin didnât want to reveal too much about his children.
Seeing Sue looking at her, Tanya nodded. âYes.â
âTanya, right? Iâve met you before when you were a little girl.â Sue was very excited. She took her hand and said, âAt that time I was visiting the Joneses. When you were serving us water, you accidentally broke the glasses, so your mother punished you by making you kneel on the floor. You were only five years old then. You were so little and looked so pitiful kneeling there.â Her words were rather uncomfortable.
However, what he said next was even worse. âWho would have thought that one day you would become Cinderella and give birth to Joelâs daughter? A daughter with a high status elevates her motherâs status, really!â
