When the staff finished talking, Mia reached out and grabbed her clothes. She asked timidly, “Ms. Turner, are you okay?”

Tanya looked at her. For some reason, she didn’t explain anything. She just smiled, “…You’re fine.”

Mia was thrilled to see that he didn’t turn her down.

Joel watched them out of the corner of his eye. His eyes were calm, but the smile in his eyes was warmer and more sincere than before.

Snap!

A picture of the family of three was taken. The staff took the photo and stood up, handing it over.

On the carousel, Tanya sat in the front with Mia in her arms while Joel sat in the back. All three looked very handsome.

The staff said kindly, “Mr. Smith, Miss Smith, you are both such sweethearts. Little Miss Smith is also very pretty. Your family of three is really lucky.”

Tanya looked at the staff uncomfortably and was about to explain when Joel suddenly pulled out his wallet and handed some bills to the wait staff. “You are a person who speaks kindly, feel free to say more.”

The wait staff took the tip. It was a thick wad and there were at least a few hundred dollars. He was immediately happy and said, “It’s not that I’m a talker, I’m actually very bad at talking. I’m just good at telling the truth. Mr. Smith, there are bumper cars over there, would you like to take Miss Smith and little miss there to play?”

“Yes.”

Joel lifted Mia up and held Tanya with his other hand as they walked toward the bumper car.

Tanya followed him. She didn’t even get a chance to explain herself the whole time and could only accept the title of Miss Smith.

They had fun throughout the day. Although they only started in the afternoon, they played as many games as they wanted until sunset.

In the evening, the group had dinner at the amusement park and watched the fireworks show.

There was not a large crowd. The moment the fireworks went off, the three children gathered and ran across the gazebo lawn, screaming in amazement.

“Wow!”

“How beautiful!”

“It’s so bright!”

Nora and Justin sat on the ground. As they watched the fireworks, Nora was a little stunned.

Actually, coming to play at the amusement park was a very boring thing for her.

As exciting as those rides were, would they be as thrilling as riding in a race car?

She was just accompanying the two children to play something boring. Seeing that they were happy, she put up with it.

Actually, time was the most precious thing to her.

Since she spent most of her time sleeping, she preferred to finish all her chores while she was awake.

However, as she sat watching the fireworks soar into the sky, feeling the breathing and the company of the man beside her, she felt for the first time that it didn’t seem so bad to waste so much time.

On the other side, Joel and Tanya followed the three children. As they walked, Joel suddenly reached out and took Tanya’s hand.

Tanya wanted to struggle, but the man’s hand was too warm and she couldn’t break free at all. She gave up and let Joel hold her hand.

The three children ran ahead and occasionally turned to watch this scene. Cherry opened her eyes and said in disbelief, “Godmother, are you dating Uncle Joel?”.

Tanya: “!”

Her expression instantly turned cold. “Silly Cherry, what are you talking about?”

Mia was shocked. “Cherry, don’t talk to Miss Turner like that. She’ll get mad.”

Tanya didn’t expect to have scared Mia. Just as she was about to comfort her and tell her she wasn’t mad, she saw Mia look at Joel. “Daddy, hurry up and kiss Miss Turner. Kiss her and she’ll be happy.”

Tanya: “!!!!”

Her face flushed.

The man beside her laughed softly, his voice rich and smooth. “Tanya, I just wish time would stop. How nice it would be if we could stay here forever.”

Tanya said nothing, but Joel suddenly grabbed her hand.

…

Happy days were always short. Soon it was eight o’clock in the evening. The sky had darkened completely and they were heading home.

Tanya’s house was not at the same address as the Smith’s and the Hunts’, so they argued and decided to have Joel drive her home.

Mia was given a ride by Justin with Pete.

As they parted at the door, Nora suddenly shouted, “Tanya.”

Tanya, who was about to get into the car with Joel, stopped and turned to look at her. “What’s wrong?”

Nora stretched out her arm. “Can I have a hug?”

Tanya: “?????”

The corners of her lips twitched. “It’s not like I’m not going to see you anymore, why are you hugging me, are you crazy, I’m not that affectionate with you.”

Nora didn’t care. She walked over and hugged her, “Don’t you know you might have to call me sister-in-law the next time we hug?”.

Tanya: “!!!!”

She turned around angrily and walked back to the car. However, she had only taken a few steps when she held her head with a scream.

Nora shrugged her shoulders. “I’m sorry… Two strands of your hair got caught in my ring.”

The corners of Tanya’s mouth twitched. “I knew I shouldn’t have given you such a pretentious hug. You made me lose two strands of hair.”

Nora replied, “Don’t worry. I’ll take responsibility if you go bald.”

Tanya: “Pui, pui, pui! Can’t you talk? I have a lot of hair, how can I go bald?”

With that, she got into Joel’s car.

As the car drove away, Nora looked at the hair on her fingers. She raised her eyebrows and pulled out a bag, carefully stuffing the hair into it.

As soon as she finished, she met Justin’s mocking eyes. He seemed to have seen through it all, as his gaze passed over the hair in her hand before he said, “Nora, I didn’t expect you to be so naughty.”

Nora ignored him and pocketed the bag. She lowered her head and looked at Pete.

Pete nodded and gave her a “yes.”

They got into the van and drove home.

In the car, Pete suddenly said, “Let’s play a game!”.

After playing all day, Mia and Cherry, who were already a little sleepy, looked at him excitedly. “What shall we play?”

Pete pulled out a cotton swab. “We’ll be playing house. I’m a doctor.”

Cherry secretly said to Mia, “…Pete is so childish~ I stopped playing house when I was three!”.

Mia said quietly, “But this is the first time Pete has made such a request. Let’s play along with him, OK? Otherwise, he’ll feel bad.”

Cherry said reluctantly: “Okay!”.

So, the three children, who were a little smarter than ordinary people, began to play house.

Pete said to Mia, “Mia, open your mouth. I want to take your saliva sample~”

Mia opened her mouth cooperatively.

Pete waved the cotton swab and handed it to Nora. “It’s done!”
