Quentin sounded as full of delusions of grandeur as ever.
Nora couldnât help but hold his forehead. She asked, âAre you this helpful and enthusiastic with everyone?â.
Quentin: â?â
Her question stunned Quentin.
He stared at Nora blankly. For a moment, he also felt that she was behaving a little strangely.
When had he become so nosy, why was he being so concerned about a stranger?
To be honest, he couldnât describe what he was feeling either. It was just that the womanâs calm and collected attitude made him feel like he was Nora.
After all, he had been following and protecting Nora for a long time.
He snorted and said, âI guess I was being unnecessarily nosy.â
He walked away after saying that.
Nora: ââ¦â
Had her words offended Quentin just now? If not, why had that guy with delusions of grandeur suddenly become so aloof?
He didnât think too much about it, however, because he was about to enter the ring.
Before he did, he looked back and watched Cherry.
Cherry immediately took the hint and reached out her hands to cover her eyes. She said, âDonât worry Mommy, Iâm ready. Iâll sing rhymes to Daddy later.â
Nora then looked at Justin. She was about to speak when Justin nodded and said, âIâll fill you in on the rhymes he sang later.â
Nora nodded. As she walked to the ring, she couldnât help but feel that something was wrong. It wasnât until she entered the ring that she suddenly realized something: Was their rapport too good now?
It was like they were a family of three.
Cough.
As her imagination ran wild, âTired Reindeerâ told her, âNot only are you a woman, but you come to the ring dressed like that. Are you here to fight or to find a boyfriend?â
Nora, a bit puzzled, lowered her head and looked at what she was wearing.
All the places that should be covered, were covered. There shouldnât be any problem, should there?
She frowned.
The audience, however, burst into loud laughter. âYes, itâs actually a woman! Whatâs a woman coming to join in the fun for!â
Although there were many girls learning martial arts nowadays, they were naturally weaker than men in terms of physical strength. Although women had managed to occupy some position in other respects, truly powerful women were still a minority in the martial arts world.
There were also women among the spectators, and their words filled them with indignation. They said, âWhatâs wrong with women, have they forgotten the Big Sister of the Quinn School of Martial Arts?â
âExactly! Are women incapable of fighting just because they are women? If youâre so great, why donât you challenge Big Sister Quinn Martial Arts Schoolâs Big Sister Quinn to a one-on-one duel?â
âHmph!â
The women spoke up. All of them were someoneâs wife or sister, or one of the few prominent people in the martial arts circle. The men around them no longer dared to contradict them.
They all changed the subject with a smile and said, âNo, thatâs not what we meant. We were just talking about the fact that sheâs wearing a dress.â
âYes, isnât it inconvenient for her to move her legs if sheâs wearing a dress? Sheâs going to have wardrobe problems later when she puts her legs up in the air. Iâm saying this for her sake.â
âTsk, itâs rare to see a woman in one-on-one duels. Of course, weâd love to see it! It wonât be interesting anymore if itâs all men! I just donât think she should have worn a dress!â
In the ring.
âTired Reindeerâ also frowned as he looked at Nora. He said, âShall we begin?â
Nora stood where she was calmly. âYes, letâs start!â
âTired Reindeerâ frowned and said, âDo you want to go change? I can wait for you.â
Nora was a little taken aback. âWhy?â
âTired Reindeerâ felt a headache coming on. âDidnât you hear what the audience said? If you keep wearing that,⦠you wonât be able to move your legs freely.â
Nora lowered her head again and looked down at her dress. Only then did she realize what they were talking about. âOh, thatâs what you meant,â she said.
âTired Reindeerâ nodded.
Everyone else sighed in relief as well. Even Quentin, who was in the audience, curved his lips in disdain.
What a stupid woman. There were so many wretches down here, and yet she had put on a dress to fight. What was she going to do!
As she thought about it, she heard Nora say, âOh, itâs all right even if I donât use my legs.â
All: â?â
They were all stunned. They looked at her in disbelief, wondering if the woman had lost her mind. Was she not going to use her legs? Did that mean she was only going to use her fists? But what strength could a womanâs fists have?
Besides, without using her legs, she wouldnât be able to make moves like lunging towards the opponent, etc.
Quentin scoffed.
Wasnât he going to use his legs? Did he think flapping his lips would be enough?
Well, if he admitted defeat before Tired Reno rushed in, he wouldnât have to use his legs. In fact, he wouldnât even need his hands!
As he thought about it, âTired Renoâ frowned. âYouâ¦â
âLetâs cut the crap and get started.â
Nora had become annoyed. She could have already ended the encounter while they were talking. What a great waste of her energy.
She stretched out a finger and gestured to âTired Reindeerâ. âLetâs get started.â
Tired Reno: â!â
Even though he was a man, the womanâs provocation infuriated him. He snorted and said, âYou asked for it!â.
He balled his hands into a ball and swung his fist directly at Nora.
Her blow was quick and powerful. âTired Reindeerâ, who also didnât want to waste time, wanted to end the fight quickly, so he showed no mercy even though his opponent was a woman.
The audience closed their eyes.
It should be known that âTired Reindeerâsâ punch had knocked all of his previous nine opponents to the ground.
Wasnât he too insensitive, was he really using his sure-kill move against a young lady from the start?
Quentin held his forehead. âTired Reindeerâ moved so fast that 028 probably couldnât even react in time to admit defeat.
He was still thinking about it when he heard the loud thud of a fist making contact with flesh. Then, with a clatter, someone landed fiercely on the ground.
A sympathetic Quentin looked down into the ring to see the womanâs miserable appearanceâ¦..
