Time flew. In the blink of an eye it was time for Mrs. Hunt’s birthday party.

The doors of the Hunt mansion were wide open. All sorts of things were being delivered to the mansion even before dawn. All the servants were terribly busy, and the whole mansion was up to its ears in work.

It had been a long time since the Hunts last held such a big party, so everyone was busy at work.

Even Chester, the gambling addict, had been dragged back home as an extra pair of hands. He stood there and led everyone in the kitchen in their work. When he turned around, he saw Justin hanging out with Cherry. He went after them immediately and asked, “Where are you going Justin?”.

Justin looked at him, the beauty mark in the corner of his eye glowing with an icy glare. “Do I have to fill you in on my itinerary?”

Chester stepped back. “Of course not.”

He looked at Cherry curiously. “Where are you going Pete?”

“To Mom’s!” replied Cherry.

Chester looked at the two boxes in Justin’s hands. “What are they delivering?”

“A dress of course!”

Chester: “?”

Had the Andersons become so poor that they couldn’t even afford a dress for Nora?

Elsewhere, Yvonne was looking at herself in the mirror.

Her blue dress highlighted her porcelain skin, making her look very beautiful.

As she came down the stairs, Warren complimented her. “You look very beautiful today Yvonne!”

Yvonne smiled at him but said nothing.

Warren walked over to her and said, “How are you doing, I already asked for you – Justin is wearing blue today, so you can wear matching outfits!”.

At the mention of blue outfits, Yvonne hesitated for a moment and then said, “I hear Gucci has a handmade couture dress called Blue Enchantress. It’s a finished product made by a famous designer. That dress…”

Warren gestured and said, “Tsk, I’ve already been there to order the dress, but they wouldn’t give it to me. A dress like that is the brand’s signature and a treasure; there’s no way they’d lend it to anyone. The blue dress you’re wearing is also very famous. It only narrowly misses that one.”

Yvonne let out an “oh.”

Wasn’t it all because Warren’s status wasn’t high enough that he hadn’t managed to borrow it? If it had been Joel who had asked for it, he surely would have borrowed it.What a shame!

“Where’s Joel?” she asked.

Warren shook his head. “I don’t know, he just told us to get out of the house. Looks like he’s visiting Uncle Ian before he leaves.”

It was only when he mentioned Ian that Yvonne suddenly realized that, because of the party, it had been quite a few days since she had been to the hospital to visit him, so she didn’t know how her father was doing.

Brandon looked like Warren, and they were both very simple and innocent. Because of this, Warren didn’t realize his displeasure. He and Yvonne stopped talking when they reached the cars and got into their respective vehicles.

As soon as they got into the car, Warren’s wife remarked, “Why do I get the feeling that Yvonne isn’t too happy that you didn’t get to borrow the Blue Enchantress.”

Warren immediately responded. “Are you sure that’s right?”

His wife said in disgust, “I don’t think she’s complaining either. You can’t even stand me wearing that dress she’s wearing, so why should she be unhappy when you’ve already given it to her? There isn’t a girl in New York that has more prestige than her right now!”

Warren laughed at his wife’s words. “Are you jealous?”

Was there any way she wasn’t?

But her husband’s entire family was so protective of her little sister that she couldn’t say that either.

Warren’s wife smiled and said nothing. However, her eyes twinkled a little. Truth be told, she had asked the mark about Blue Enchantress, she had already borrowed it from someone.

However, she didn’t need to tell her husband.

Since his younger sister didn’t know her limits and always tried to outdo her sisters-in-law…. Well, she wasn’t someone so easy to screw over either.

At the Anderson’s.

“How about this?” Sheril offered Nora a couture gown she’d never worn.

The party was held in too much of a rush. It took at least a month for a brand to make a couture gown, so Nora had not ordered one, but had merely bought a ball gown.

However, when Sheril returned, she insisted that it undermined her status, so she brought out her own dress and offered it instead.

Nora waved her hand. “No, it’s fine. I really don’t mind…”

Just as she was thinking it, Melissa’s voice came from downstairs.

“Mr. Hunt?”

Nora raised her eyebrows.

She came downstairs and saw Justin placing two small boxes on the couch. He said, “I’m here to deliver a dress.”

The man was wearing a black suit today. He was also wearing a nice blue tie, which made him look even more dapper than usual.

Melissa nodded immediately. “Is the dress for Nora? Quick, Nora, go upstairs and try it on.”

Nora: “…”

She went downstairs but did not pick up the dress. Instead, she said, “Is someone giving away a dress? It’s not like you know my measurements.”

“Why wouldn’t I know them?” Justin smiled and said, “I know all of Miss Smith’s measurements. After all, we are lovers, aren’t we?”.

Nora: “!”

His words were too suggestive!

Indeed, Melissa, who was standing next to them, covered her smile with her hand. She pretended not to hear them and, instead, urged, “Hurry up and try it!”.

Nora was about to refuse when Cherry jumped up and said, “Mom, I’m going to wear a dress today! Ours are matching outfits~ Where’s Pete? Let him go back to daddy. I want to be with Mom, yes!”

Matching outfits?

Rejection stuck in her throat when she heard what Cherry said. She nodded and said, “Okay, then.”

By the time Nora took Cherry’s hand and went upstairs, Pete had also come downstairs and left with Justin.

In the living room, Simon stood staring at the two departing children. He looked at Melissa and asked, “Justin is Cherry’s father? This…I still can’t believe it. This looks like a dream.”

To keep the Andersons from being shocked to see the Hunt’s Master of the Hunt’s at the party, Nora had told them the truth the day before.

Melissa smiled and said, “Are you still in shock? I was shocked when I saw Cherry at the Hunts’ house that day! I knew it, why did Cherry’s personality fluctuate from time to time? I even thought at one point that she was schizophrenic.”

Simon didn’t speak.

After they changed into their formal attire, they went back downstairs. Melissa was startled to see Nora’s blue dress. She muttered, “That dress…”

“What’s wrong?” asked Simon.

Melissa shook her head. “It just… It looks a little familiar to me at first glance.”

“Wow, the dress Miss Smith is wearing today is gorgeous! I didn’t think anyone could make blue look so pure and innocent!”

“You just don’t get it do you, Miss Smith’s dress was designed by the famous designer Campt! It’s worth over $100,000!”

“I’m very envious of Miss Smith. Being the Smith’s only daughter, her family treats her much better than how the Hunts treat their daughters!”

“…”

Yvonne heard compliments all around her the moment she stepped out of the car. An elegant smile formed on her face. She lifted her dress a little and headed for the Hunts’ party room in her high heels.

She had to be the center of the crowd’s attention on all occasions, that was what she had learned from her experience over the years.

However, just as she was about to pull into the driveway, a large black jeep slowly pulled into the mansion.
