Paul narrowed his eyes and looked at Justin.

He was waiting for Justin’s explanation. Since Quinn had already interfered, there was no doubt that he would go all the way.

However, Justin’s usual expressionlessness was such that I couldn’t guess what he was thinking. He frowned. Only after waiting a while did he realize that Quinn still hadn’t uttered a word, even after so much time had passed.

He looked up in surprise to see Quinn, who was so furious that his face was all red, glaring at him furiously.

Paul was taken aback. He was about to speak when Quinn asked, “Who did you say it was a moment ago?”

Paul unconsciously replied, “You know, Nora Smith. Master, you haven’t heard of her before, have you? She’s from a small town in California, and she’s currently living with the Andersons…”

Quinn suddenly rubbed his fist at this point. Then, while he was unprepared – no, you could say he was actually prepared, but he just couldn’t help himself at all – Quinn’s fist was already in his face.

Thump!

Paul recoiled several steps back from the blow. He could feel a painful, unbearable sensation in his nose. Then, a hot liquid slid down.

The punch stunned him and he stared at Quinn in disbelief. Quinn, however, sternly reprimanded him, “That’s the end of that!”

Paul, “?”

He gaped. “Master, you…”

“What else do you mean, you’re not going to beat Lucas if he tries to snatch your wife? Your men brought this on themselves! As for what happened next, it was a complete coincidence! Paul, you should consider yourself lucky that it wasn’t you who tried to lay hands on Nora Smith. Otherwise, I would have kicked you right out of the cult.”

Quinn’s words were fair.

First, the person who had tried to take advantage of Nora was not Paul, but Winston.

Second, Winston and the others were already dead. Relatively speaking, those dozen lives had already made up for their mistake; in fact, the price they paid was too great. If Quinn continued to refuse to let the matter drop, it would seem unreasonable.

Finally, Paul was still the best of the unofficial disciples. Without his actions violating his boundaries, Quinn could not easily expel him from the cult.

Paul was perplexed.

Quinn was still full of righteous indignation a moment ago. Why was he suddenly giving him a long face?

He wanted to say something, but Quinn was already waving him off and said, “You must be the one to blame for this incident Paul. You don’t have to say anything else. If this happens again, I won’t let you off that easy. Lucas, take him outside!”

“Yes, sir.”

Lucas replied respectfully. He held Paul’s arm and said, “This way Paul.”

Paul was older than Luke, but Luke was an official disciple. Therefore, all the unofficial disciples had to see him as someone more senior than they were. This was a rule in the Quinn School of Martial Arts.

Lucas had great physical strength. In addition, Quinn had just punched Paul, making him see stars all over the place. Therefore, Paul was dragged by Lucas straight out the door.

When he left, Quinn looked at everyone who had come to watch the show and yelled, “What are you all doing here, have you finished training today? Mark, have you finished the 3,000 sets of low kicks? Gordan, have you perfected your stance? And you…”

As Quinn spoke, all of his disciples and grand disciples quickly slipped away one by one. Soon, the place was empty again.

Only when they had all left did Nora finally emerge from the inner room while holding the hands of the two children.

Seeing her, as if he had expected better of her, Quinn said, “The great Big Sister of the Quinn School of Martial Arts has been bullied by a little ruffian. Won’t you find it embarrassing if word of this gets out?”

Nora yawned. “Therefore, you have to keep my identity a secret even more. Otherwise, I’ll embarrass you, which makes you the one to be embarrassed.”

Quinn, “…”

Nora didn’t bother at all. She waved him off, then led Pete and Cherry toward the door. “I’m leaving, old man. I’m dying of sleep.”

Quinn was so angry he looked at her grumpily, but there was nothing he could do about that lazy disciple of his.

Justin left along with Nora. Then they parted at the door, and each took their respective child home.

Elsewhere, Paul was still totally baffled when Lucas pushed him.

Lucas was aware of Nora’s identity, so at that moment he was looking at Paul with disappointment. “Why were you so gawking, how could you let your men do something like steal someone else’s girlfriend?”

Only then did Paul realize. “Master really hates people who bully the weak, is that why he was so angry just now?”

That old man had always been a man with a strong sense of justice.

Luke, “…”

How was he going to tell the best of the unofficial disciples that the term ‘bullying the weak’ was not appropriate in this situation? The one he was bullying…. Was the strong one!

The corners of his lips tightened a little. He patted Paul on the shoulder and warned, “The Master only hit you a moment ago, and besides, he didn’t use his full strength. You might say that he has already taken pity on you. Don’t do anything heinous or illegal out there, especially during this period of time.”

Paul’s eyes twinkled. “You know me Lucas. I’ve always done business in a very honest way, so how could I have the courage to do anything wrong? I keep the Master’s teachings in mind at all times.”

Lucas was relieved to hear that. He breathed a sigh of relief and replied, “That’s good.”

After wiping the blood from his nose at Lucas’ house, Paul left the Quinn School of Martial Arts.

His subordinate, who had gone with him to the Quinn School of Martial Arts to ask for help, couldn’t help but say, “Boss, are we really going to stand aside for a while? The car racing club takeover…”

Paul scoffed, “Of course we have to behave ourselves, we’ll just be the honest businessmen that we are! As for the car racing club…. Heh, we’re going to buy it legally, is there anything dishonest about that?”

His subordinate was startled. “But didn’t Mr. Quinn say a moment ago that…”

Paul gestured and said, “You don’t need to take what that old man says to heart. He’s just putting on a haughty act.”

The subordinate understood now. “All right.”

Then, he started forward. “Are we going to swallow our losses just like that this time?”

Paul narrowed his eyes. He scoffed, “We may not be able to mess with Justin Hunt, but a certain someone does have to bear our wrath for this incident!”

“Who would that person be?”

Paul looked at his subordinate. “Who do you think it is?”

His subordinate understood at once what he meant. “I’m heading to the Andersons right now!”

Nora was still thinking about an important matter as she walked back to the Anderson’s house with Pete.

Did those ten people really die from a gas explosion?

She clearly remembered that the room was ventilated. It stood to reason that even if the gas valve had actually opened, it should not have gone so far as to explode.

As she contemplated the question with a frown, Mia and Brandon were also visiting Jimmy at the hospital.

As Jimmy had received timely treatment, he had already recovered considerably.

An animated Brandon said, “Cherry is taking us to Quinn Martial Arts School this weekend! He gets along great with Grandpa Quinn.”

Jimmy was surprised to hear that.

His family had been having some kind of trouble recently. Although his parents hadn’t told him anything openly, through snippets of their conversations he was able to guess more or less what had happened. Thus, he knew that the matter was related to the Quinn School of Martial Arts.

He eagerly took Brandon’s hand and asked, “Does Cherry have a very close relationship with Mr. Quinn?”

If so, could Cherry put in a good word for his family?
