Chapter 221

A contract to provide his services to the Quinlan Sect?

Nora frowned and looked at the document in her hand.

Winston scoffed, “Oh, I forgot to tell you, but the car racing club will be Quinlan Sect’s very soon. We, the Quinlan Sect, cordially invite you to our team. I believe that with Yanci around, our team will always win.”

Nora, “?”

Her eyebrows drew together. She asked puzzled, “Does Mr. Hoffman agree?”

Winston replied, “Of course.”

His eyes twinkled and he added, “Would I dare do something like that if he hadn’t?”

Nora didn’t care how exactly they conducted their dealings with each other, but…. Using Caleb to threaten her?

She lowered her gaze lazily. “I’m not interested in your club.”

She addressed Caleb directly after speaking. She had no intention of wasting her breath and planned to leave immediately after saving the man.

However, before she could approach, Winston stopped in front of her again. He said, “I know you enjoy a lot of freedom when you race overseas, Miss Smith, but it’s impossible to survive in the car racing industry in the United States if you have no one to back you up. Didn’t Logan also lean on Jordan Hoffman back in the day? The profits you’ll enjoy will only be better if you join the Quinlan Sect! Do you know who it is that backs the Quinlan Sect?”

Nora’s eyes were still downcast. “I’m not interested.”

“…” Winston became anxious. He said, “The one backing the Quinlan Sect is the Quinn School of Martial Arts! You must have heard of them before, right? They’re well known in the pugilistic world! As long as you sign the contract, both the Quinlan Sect and the Quinn School of Martial Arts will back you in New York in the future, no matter what!”

Nora gaped. “The Quinn School of Martial Arts?”

Her reaction caused Winston to breathe a sigh of relief. He replied, “Yes, the Quinn School of Martial Arts! Mr. Quinlan is their unofficial disciple. This is something everyone knows. It is precisely because of the Quinn School of Martial Arts that not even Jordan Hoffman dares to mess with Lord Quinlan.”

Nora, “…”

What the hell was this problem?

Were all the unofficial disciples of the Quinn School of Martial Arts this arrogant on the outside?

She frowned.

Winston tried hard to convince her. He said, “You must be scared at the mention of the Quinn School of Martial Arts, right? Then sign this obediently. I can even promise you that, as long as you sign the contract and maintain a good relationship with me, I will let your fiancé’s pharmaceutical factory open smoothly in New York!”

Winston looked at Nora with desire when she said that.

That woman was Yanci. She looked so beautiful and sassy when she ran, it made him feel even more desire for her. Conquering a woman like her would give him an even greater sense of accomplishment.

His smile turned lascivious.

A honeyed, soft voice reached them at that moment.

“So it’s up to you that my application to set up a pharmaceutical factory keeps getting rejected?”

Nora looked at Caleb.

Despite being bound, he remained calm and composed in the face of danger, which gave him an added sense of fragile beauty. His face didn’t look at all like that of a thirty-something; he clearly looked like a prince – albeit in distress – stepping out of a comic book.

Her words brought Winston back from his reverie to reality. He looked back at her and said with a smile, “Gee, so you’ve finally figured out the reason! The Grays may be something in California, but you’re nothing in New York. So you want to expand your business in New York? Have you asked the Myers for permission yet? Have you asked the pharmaceutical industry here for permission yet? Heh, New York is our turf, with the pharmaceutical industry in particular. Without the Myers’ permission, there’s no way your family’s pharmaceutical factory will set up shop here. Even if you’ve already decided on the location of the factory, you’re still failing on the license application, right? Hahaha.”

Caleb realized. “I see. So, that’s why.”

Winston looked at Nora again. “Of course, if Miss Smiths signs this contract, that will make us family. Your business will also be the Myers’ business, so I’ll certainly look out for you. We can benefit each other. You must know what I want, right?”

His gaze swept up and down Nora as he spoke, his intentions obvious.

The eyes of Caleb and Justin, who had just entered the room, darkened at the same time.

Caleb looked down, his long eyelashes casting silhouettes over his cheeks. His glasses were already about to fall off the bridge of his nose. His eyes were icy as he said, “That’s impossible. You don’t have to compromise for me Nora…”

Winston flew into a rage when he heard him. He took a step forward and slapped Caleb across the cheek, causing Caleb’s head to turn to the side. He now looked even more like a submissive woman being bullied.

Soon a handprint formed on his fair cheek.

After slapping him, Winston shouted angrily, “Shut up!”

Only then did he turn away.

He was about to speak when, instead, he saw Nora’s expression turn cold. He said, “You must have a death wish!”.

Just as he was about to act, the guard at the door finally discovered Justin’s presence. He shouted angrily, “Who are you, what are you doing here?”

Nora looked back to see the men at the gate walking toward Justin.

For a moment, she didn’t know whether she should save Justin or Caleb first.

In the midst of her hesitation, she saw Justin striding forward. He headed straight for Caleb, kicking whoever was blocking his path.

His long legs delivered precise, merciless kicks, while his punches were swift and unpredictable. Before anyone could get a clear view of his movements, Justin had already taken them all down.

Winston had brought more than ten men with him, but all of them were lying on the ground at the time. Some had fainted and others were groaning in pain.

Startled, he looked at Justin in disbelief. He swallowed hard and asked, “Mr. Hunt, why are you here? I… I’m from the Quinlan Sect. Our boss is from the Quinn School of Martial Arts. You…”

Justin walked up to him and kicked him in the crotch!

Bam!.

As Winston flew through the air, the pain in his crotch caused his vision to blacken. He felt that that particular spot had probably snapped….

Everyone else who was still conscious unconsciously squeezed their legs tightly together, suddenly feeling a little worried about their family jewels.

Nora didn’t have a chance to do anything, nor did she have as many worries, so she walked straight over to Caleb and untied the ropes around him.

Caleb stood up once he was freed. He was about to thank Nora when his legs suddenly gave way, apparently from being tied up too long.

Nora was about to grab him unconsciously when another arm held Caleb faster than she could.

Her eyes followed the sturdy, powerful arm to see Justin staring at Caleb as he made a long face. He said, “You’re welcome, Mr. Gray.”

The subtext: ‘I was the one who saved you just now, so don’t try to approach Nora under the guise of thanking her.’

Caleb: “…”

He moved his ankles a little. After steadying himself on his feet, he finally looked at Winston and the others who had collapsed on the ground. A dark glint crossed her eyes as she stroked her cheek, but she lowered her gaze the next moment, hiding the glint inside.

Seeing that he was okay, Nora pulled out the contract Winston had wanted him to sign. After glancing at it, she pulled out her phone and said, “I’ll ask Mrs. Hoffman what exactly is going on with the Quinlan Sect’s acquisition of the club.”
