Sereia's POV

My eyes stayed glued to his hand, gently resting upon mine.

His arms tightly wrapped around my waist as my back pressed against his chest under the white covers.

He didn't tell me why he was here with me and not with her.

The whole house was silent, the only sound being his steady breathing as we slept.

When he said that he wanted to sleep with me last night, he literally meant it. We only slept.

He didn't try to kiss me or even touch me.

I'm surprised that we even woke up in this position.

I liked that he was like this.

He didn't try to make me do anything that I didn't want or try to use me every time; unlike his best friend.

I'm still very disappointed in Blake.

I thought he was one of the sweet ones.

Does Elliot know that he is like this?

I can't see him allowing Blake to act like that to others while he is such a gentleman.

His arms suddenly pressed my waist harder and he began to kiss my shoulders. "Morning, temptress."

I giggled when I felt a tickling shiver down my spine. "Good morning, sir."

"Tell me something," he said as he continued to kiss me all over from behind.

I smiled as I closed my eyes and enjoyed his soft kisses. "Tell you what?"

"What." kiss.

"Really." kiss.

"Happened." kiss.

"On." kiss.

"Your." kiss.

"Date." kiss.

"With." kiss.

"Blake?" kiss.

My smile faded as I slowly opened my eyes.

I remained quiet.

He might think I'm a liar.

"Sereia," he said my name as he unwrapped his arms from around me and sat up. "Tell me."

Dang it.

I sat up too. "It's nothing. We just ate and left."

He looked at me, not believing a single thing I said. "So why did he say you two slept together? I don't understand."

"I don't know," I lied. "Maybe because he is a liar."

Great, a liar calling someone else a liar.

"So why did you say that you slapped him?"

I stayed quiet before nervously forcing a smile. "Hungry? I make the best eggs and pancakes."

He blinked, his face remaining expressionless. "Sereia."

Dang it again.

"He tried to force himself on me," I said. "I handled it. It's nothing."

The last thing I wanted was to make him mad at his best friend since he is probably going to be mad at Olivia when I tell him the truth.

I think he trusts me enough to hear it.

His face remained unreadable at first, a mask of calm indifference.

But then, a flicker of something darker passed through his eyes.

His jaw tightened ever so slightly, and the corners of his lips pressed into a thin line.

The subtle clench of his fists and the tension building in his shoulders hinted at the anger simmering just beneath the surface, held back by his willpower.

"He did what?"

I shook my head nervously. "It's not a big deal. You shouldn't get mad over me."

"But Sereia-"

"Please," I begged him. "I'm not worth it."

There was a slight pain in my voice as I suddenly remembered what my father said to me at the hospital.

It should've been me instead of Violet.

"I'm not mad," he lied as his jaw ticked. "And you are worth it. Don't ever think any less."

"I know that you are mad. I'm not an idiot, Elliot," I told him. "Just drop it."

He stayed quiet as he watched me.

"Drop it," I repeated and he nodded.

"I heard you the first time."

"Good," I said as I jumped out of bed. "Breakfast?"

He stayed quiet as he came out of bed.

"Breakfast?" I repeated with a smile.

When I saw the guilty look on his face, I slowly dropped it.

"I'm sorry," he apologized. "I shouldn't have come here. I need to get back home."

I remained silent as I tied back my hair.

"Sereia-"

"Well, just go!" I snapped at him.

I'm just some stress reliever to him; something he can just use whenever he doesn't feel like being with Olivia.

The look of guilt and anger from earlier mixed on his face as he picked up his car keys.

Yes, the king can actually drive himself. I'm amazed too.

"I'll follow you out," I drily said as I opened the bedroom door and led him to the front door. "Have a good day."

"I'm really sorry Sereia," he apologized. "I wish I could stay longer."

I wished so too, but I knew that he had to get back to his regular life, one that I'm not a part of.

I shook my head. "There is no need to apologize. You are right, you shouldn't be here with me."

He leaned down and gave me a gentle kiss on the cheek.

I wondered if he was as gentle as this in bed too.

"I'll see you at work," he spoke and I nodded.

He waved goodbye before walking to his car.

I closed the door and headed to the kitchen to do breakfast.

There were minimal ingredients here, which was caused by my lack of motivation to go grocery shopping.

Suddenly, there was a knock on the door and I opened it to see Elliot.

"Did you forget some-"

Before I could finish my sentence, his lips were already on mine as he pushed me back into the house.

He kicked the door shut with his foot as my lips kissed his back.

He gripped the back of my thighs as he picked me up and carried me to the kitchen.

He then placed me on the countertop and stood in between my legs while he kissed me.

I stopped to smile, knowing I was enjoying every moment of this.

He smiled too during our short break before kissing my neck, then all over my chest, then my stomach, then...

My body shivered when I felt his kisses down there.

My back arched and I grabbed his hair. "Don't."

He ignored my request as he continued kissing me through the thin fabric of my panties.

I could already feel myself getting wet and I know he felt it too.

He suddenly stopped and stood up.

"No, continue," I requested and he smiled.

"I have to get ready for work."

"No, you're the boss."

He chuckled. "Yes, I'm the boss who has a meeting in an hour. I have to go."

I stayed quiet as I terribly hid my anger and need for him.

"I hate when men start things they can't finish."

He smirked, not taking one bit of offence from my insult.

"I want you to know that coming here wasn't a mistake for me," he said. "I want to be with you Sereia."

There goes my heart racing again.

It's time for me to come clean.

He trusts me enough now. He'll believe me.

"Elliot," I nervously started. "There are a few things I should tell you."

He gave me his attentive look with a slight smile. "Go ahead."

"I-" I choked up.

"I-"

I lost his attention when his gaze drifted to my refrigerator door.

His eyebrows furrowed as he slowly walked to the small photo of Violet and I at a theme park when we were younger.

My heart continued to race when I realized that he might have recognized her.

Surely Olivia showed him the photo of Violet I threatened her with.

"Are you a natural blond?" he asked the complete opposite of what I was thinking.

I got up and looked at the picture with him. "I am, but I'm never going to show it."

"Why not?" he asked intrigued.

"Because I'm not her anymore," I explained. "That Sereia is gone. When I look at my old pictures, I can't even recognize myself. My smile, my hair, my happiness, my purity, they're all gone."

"No, they're not," he said as he looked down at me.

"What?" I blinked.

"You said your hair is gone. You're not bald," he said and I glared at him.

He laughed before brushing his thumb against my cheek. "You might not be the same as you were back then, but you're not completely gone. I still see your smile, your hair, your happiness, and your pureness."

Dang it.

Why does he always have to say sweet things?

"Elliot, I need to tell you something."

He looked at his watch. "I have to go now, but I promise I'll listen to whatever you have to say later."

My shoulders slumped.

He kissed my forehead before giving me a peck on the lips and rushing out.
