Day Three

The day had finally arrived. The day when Lingling and Orm would vow to spend the rest of their lives together. The sun hung high in the sky, casting a warm glow over the city, as if the heavens themselves were blessing this moment.

For now, the brides were apart, each getting ready in separate locations, anticipation and excitement filling the air.

Orm sat in front of a large vanity mirror as a makeup artist carefully worked on her look. Her mother, Koy, stood nearby, watching her daughter with teary eyes. The reality of the day hit her all at once—her little girl was about to get married.

Noticing her mother's expression through the mirror, Orm let out a small chuckle. "Mom, don't cry," she said, tilting her head slightly. "You'll make me cry, too, and I don't want to walk down the aisle looking like a mess."

Koy let out a soft laugh, wiping her tears. "I know, I know. It's just... I still remember when you were running around the house, stubbornly refusing to wear dresses. And now, look at you, about to become a bride."

Orm smiled warmly. "And it's all thanks to you and Dad. If it weren't for you both, I wouldn't have found my happiness."

Her father, Oct, entered the room just in time to hear that. "You are our happiness, Orm," he said, placing a gentle hand on her shoulder. "We just want you to be loved the way you deserve."

Orm squeezed his hand in return. "I am, Dad. More than I ever thought I could be."

Meanwhile, at their condo, Lingling was already dressed and ready. A simple yet elegant white dress hugged her figure, its soft fabric flowing down like gentle waves. Her makeup was subtle, enhancing her natural beauty.

She sat at the edge of the bed, her hands clasped together, taking deep breaths.

She should be ecstatic. Today was supposed to be the happiest day of her life. But deep down, there was a sinking feeling that she couldn't ignore.

Four days.

If fate remained unchanged, she only had four more days with Orm.

Her heart ached at the thought. She wanted to believe that this time would be different, that love could defy whatever cruel destiny was written for them. But the past kept proving her wrong.

She bit her lip, forcing herself to push the thoughts away. No. Not today. Today, she would marry the love of her life. And for now, that was the only thing that mattered.

The wedding venue was nothing short of breathtaking. Set atop a luxurious rooftop in the heart of Bangkok, the space had been transformed into a dreamlike garden. Lush greenery lined the edges, adorned with delicate fairy lights that twinkled as the sun began its descent.

A long white carpet stretched down the aisle, leading to a simple but beautiful floral arch decorated with lilies, white roses, and hydrangeas—flowers that held special meaning for both Lingling and Orm.

Rows of white chairs were arranged neatly, but only a handful were occupied. This was an intimate wedding, attended by only a small group of close friends, colleagues from the office, and, most importantly, Orm's family.

Nene, who had been overseeing all the final details, stood near the entrance, making sure everything was perfect. The soft melody of an acoustic guitar played in the background, creating an atmosphere of love and warmth.

The sun painted the sky with hues of gold and pink, casting a magical glow over the setting.

This was it.

The moment they had been waiting for.

___

The moment had finally come.

Lingling stood at the altar, her hands trembling slightly as she waited. She took a deep breath, trying to steady herself, but nothing could prepare her for the sight of Orm walking down the aisle.

Orm looked radiant. The golden hues of the setting sun illuminated her figure, making her appear almost ethereal. Her dress, though simple, hugged her perfectly, and her soft curls cascaded over her shoulders. Her eyes sparkled, not just from the reflection of the lights but from the love she held for Lingling.

Koy and Oct walked beside their daughter, each holding onto one of her arms, guiding her toward her future. Koy held back tears, while Oct stood tall and proud.

Lingling couldn't take her eyes off Orm. She had never seen anyone so beautiful, so perfect. A lump formed in her throat, and before she could stop herself, tears welled up in her eyes. But she wasn't just crying because of happiness—deep down, she was terrified.

And yet, here was Orm, walking toward her with the brightest smile, completely unaware of what was coming.

Orm finally reached her, and Koy and Oct gently placed their daughter's hands into Lingling's. It was their silent blessing.

Lingling squeezed Orm's hands, whispering, "Hi."

Orm smiled and reached up to wipe Lingling's tears with her thumb. "Let's get married."

The officiant smiled at the exchange before beginning the ceremony.

As the ceremony progressed, the officiant spoke about love, commitment, and the journey the two had taken together. The gentle wind carried their words, weaving them into the very air around them, making the moment even more magical.

And then came the vows.

Lingling went first. She took a deep breath, her hands gripping Orm's tightly as she looked into her eyes.

"Orm... From the moment I met you, my life changed in ways I never expected. You saw me for who I was—flaws and all—and loved me anyway. You are my home, my safe place, my greatest love. I promise to love you in every lifetime, in every universe. I promise to hold your hand through every storm and celebrate with you under every sunrise. No matter what happens, you will always be my heart, my everything. I love you."

Tears streamed down Orm's face, and she let out a small laugh, shaking her head at how much she loved this woman.

Then it was her turn.

She took a shaky breath before speaking, her voice filled with emotion.

"Lingling, my love... I never thought I would find someone who would love me the way you do. You make my life brighter just by being in it. You challenge me, you support me, and you love me with everything you have. I promise to always choose you, every single day. I promise to be your shelter when you need it and your partner in every adventure life throws at us. I love you endlessly, and I can't wait to spend forever with you."

There wasn't a dry eye in the room.

As the officiant spoke the final words, Orm and Lingling exchanged rings, their hands shaking slightly from the overwhelming emotions.

Finally, the words they had been waiting for.

"You may now kiss your wife."

Lingling wasted no time, cupping Orm's face and pulling her into a deep, love-filled kiss. The guests erupted into cheers and applause as they embraced, completely lost in each other.

At that moment, nothing else mattered.

For now, they were just Lingling and Orm, two souls bound together in love.
