â«ï¸Stellaâs POV...
So here I was, sitting in my room, processing the fact that the hot-handsome sculptured mafia boss straight out of novels was now my boyfriend. For real. I can do anything with him whenever I want. That hits harder.
Now, the real question wasâshould I move back to his room? You know, mark my territory, claim his bed as mine. But then again⦠No. That would make me look desperate. Desperate for what? Sexxxuuuu. Something delulu. But no I have enough self control.
Before I could spiral any further, my phone pinged. It was from him.
Asshole: So, baby, what gift do you want on the first day of our relationship?
I stared at the screen for a second, then blushed. Awwww. This man, asking me what I want, such a cutie. I swear, Iâm on cloud nine right now, and Iâll fuck anyone who tries to drag me down.
I typed back: " Iâll think and tell you."
Simple. Cool. No big deal.
Then I looked at his contact name. Asshole. Huh. Maybe I should change it. I mean, it does sound rude for my boyfriend. But what the hell do I call him? âBoyfriendâ? Nah, too official. Heâs already stolen all the nicknames in the universe with his âbaby,â âsunshine,â âtroublemaker,â and every other word under the sun.
Finally, inspiration struck. THE IDIOT I LOVEð. Perfect.
With that settled, I started thinking about the gift. What do I want? I sat there like a philosopher, digging deep into my soul. Clothes? No. A trip? Meh. Jewelry? Nah.
Then it hit me. A pet! Yes! But which one?
Crocodile? Too aggressive.
Parrot? Too chatty.
Dog? Too much work.
Cat? Hmmm⦠maybe.
An orange cat. Oh my God, yes. A fluffy little orange fur ball. Thatâs it! Thatâs what I want.
Feeling proud of my decision, I had lunch, watched some random show, and chilled until evening.
When Chris finally came home, we had dinner together. Nick and Liam, being the party animals they are, had gone out again. So, it was just the two of us. Alone.
Not that it means anything. Nope. Nothing. Iâm a saint, thank you very much.
After dinner, he leaned back in his chair and smirked at me. âSo, you thought about your gift yet? Or should I just buy you everything?â
I rolled my eyes. âNo need for the billionaire act. Iâve decided.â
âOh?â he said, raising an eyebrow. âWhat is it?â
I grinned. âI want an orange cat.â
He blinked. âA what?â
âAn orange cat,â I repeated, my grin growing wider.
âYouâre serious?â he asked, leaning forward like Iâd just told him I wanted a pet dinosaur.
âYes. Thatâs what I want.â
He stared at me like Iâd lost my mind. âStella, you do realize those fur balls bite, scratch, and slap people for no reason, right?â
âSo?â I said, shrugging. âI can handle it. I want one.â
Chris sighed, rubbing his temples like I was giving him a headache. âFine. Iâll get you one. But if it attacks me, donât blame me when I fight back.â
I rolled my eyes again. âYouâre such a drama queen.â
âYeah, yeah,â he muttered, standing up. âAn orange cat it is.â
I couldnât help but smile. Lovely asshole, indeed. Even if heâs my boyfriend, heâs still a certified asshole.
â«ï¸Christianâs POV...
So, my little bratâI mean, my sunshineâdecided she wanted a cat. Of all things. A dumb orange furball. She could have asked for a car, gun, designer bags or outfits but NO.
The cat which thinks sheâs some sort of princess, but I guess I canât say no to my princess. Not when she looks at me with those puppy eyes. Damn!
I called Titan. âGet me an orange cat. You know, the dumbest. And get her accessoriesâdonât forget the little house.â
Titan sounded confused, but he was used to my strange requests by now. âGot it, boss.â
I hung up and immediately started thinking...now the point is why is my girlfriend in another fucking room not in my king bed.
Should I go grab her and drag her back to my room? No. I mean, if I did, she might think I have some unholy thoughtsâand I do. But thatâs beside the point.
Sheâs my sunshine, and sometimes my thoughts go a little... dark.
I want her close to me and I'm selfish like that.
I marched towards her room and knocked. She opened the door, and I didnât waste any time.
I picked her up and tossed her over my shoulder, âNo arguments. Youâre moving in with me. The catâs gonna need its space, right? And honestly, Iâm sick of you being so far away.â
âWhat the hell, Christian?! Put me down I'll walk.â she yelled, slapping my back.
âIâll let you down in a second, but no excuses. Youâre staying here, deal with it.â
I threw her onto my bed in my room and turned to her with a smug grin. âThatâs it. Youâre officially mine now. No backing out.â
She groaned, clearly realizing she had no choice. âFine, whatever. Youâre a pain in the ass.â
âDamn right, I am.â
She wrapped herself in the blankets, clearly trying to avoid me. But I wasnât having it. I sat down next to her, giving her a side-eye. âWhat? No kisses? Youâre just gonna ignore your boyfriend like that?â
Then I kissed her bcoz she will not. Emotionless.
She snorted. âNO. Youâre a jerk. You know that.â then smiled.
I laughed. âI prefer âlover,â but sure, whatever works for you.â
She huffed and then asked, âSo, you wanna watch a movie or something?â
I shook my head. âSorry, baby. Work calls.â I held up my laptop and gave her an exaggerated look of regret. âMafia stuff. It never ends.â
She looked disappointed but nodded. âI guess Iâll just... watch my own show, then.â
âSure but I promise my all quality time to you as soon as this mess ends.â
She rolled her eyes. âcover it soon."
Then I kissed my baby but her arrogant ass got shyed.
"Youâre the king of all the assholes.â
I smirked. âI am your asshole, though. Big difference.â
She didnât say anything else just kissed me....sparks in my heart.....and then settled in, watching her show, while I got to work. The information leak was a mess. Someone sold our intel, and I needed to find out who the hell it was. Titanâs been tracking this guy down for days, but it felt like we were chasing ghosts.
A couple of hours passed, and when I looked over at Stella, she was knocked out, phone still in her hand like she had passed out mid-scroll. Cute, but also... I wasnât gonna let her sleep like that.
I turned off her phone gently, then shut down my laptop. As quietly as possible, I slid into bed beside her, pulling her into my arms. She mumbled something, but I didnât catch itâprobably just some weird dream talk.
I leaned down and kissed her forehead. âGoodnight, baby.â
She made a soft sound and snuggled closer, wrapping her arms around me in her sleep.
I chuckled softly.
We both drifted off, tangled in each otherâs arms, me knowing damn well that tomorrow would bring more chaosâboth in work and in life with her. And honestly? I will go to any lengths for her. Because after a long time on this planet I found my better half.
