Chapter 4120: Bloody Cut

We clashed and with far more power than before. If we had used this power below, it would have brought immense destruction with each shockwave.
Even here, the shockwave from our attacks is powerful enough to push away, this dense, powerful energy by a mile.
Though I barely glanced at it. Instead, I am focused on the enemy and his attack coming toward me.
It is my first time fighting with such power. It is truly colossal, nothing could be compared to it, and that is what makes things more dangerous.

Our weapons clashed one after another. So, fast, that I wouldn't have been able to see it more than a blur yesterday, but now it is clear to me.
It is attacking with a powerful azure wind attack, while I am solely focused on defense.
Defense is the best. It is helping me get familiar with my power, but it's not without risk. The enemy is trying to exploit every weakness I have.

He was really fast; those with wind elements always are, but thankfully, I am used to it and defending despite the power of the attacks being much greater than what I am used to.
Seconds passed, and attacks kept coming.
He is quite good, reading my abilities and style fast and making changes in his attacks to exploit the weakness he sees.
If I am not wrong, then he had entered this realm with his power, and he had for years. At least for a year, given the ease with which he is wielding his power.
I looked at everything and tried to learn as much as I could.
It would have been safer, if I just waited in my abode. He would have left eventually, and I would then get out and fight a monster.

Fighting them would have given me the experience I would need with this power, and then I would have fought the powerhouses like him without any worry.

It surprised him before a grin appeared on his face.
Our weapons clashed and the gentle wind surrounding his saber turned into a storm with power much greater than what the collapsed storm of earlier would bring.

The sound of the clash was like the world colliding.
The shockwave was so powerful, that it would have obliterated everything in its path for
miles long.
It had affected the very space around us.
I stopped the attack, but I found myself shaking before I took steps back rapidly, while the blood leaked out of the corner of my lips.
I had expected the attack to be powerful, but not this powerful.
It scared me.
"You defended better than I had imagined," he praised and took a gentle step forward, but appeared in front of me and swung his saber again.
It is just like before. It is covered in gentle wind and felt slow, but far from it.
CLANNNNG CLANNNNG CLANNNNG!
Our weapons met, and I felt that terrifying power again. This time, I was prepared, but
despite that blood came out of my lips and I began to take steps back.
He, on the other hand, moved toward and attacked again, before I could take a step a full step
back.
It shook me, but he didn't give me any chance and attacked again and then again and again.

He attacked the ninth time and this time, he was able to evade my sword, and it ripped through my armor, cutting across my chest and bones beneath it.
