Chapter 4100: Hearing

Finally, I got out of the mist and sat down.
I am really tired, and I rest before I climb out of the slippery steps again. They are other side and covered in the same jellylike substance.
I decided not to think about that and focused on resting.
I had rested in the mist, but it was far from enough. I need more rest after what I have experienced.
I sat down and closed my eyes before clearing my thoughts, and soon, I was in a resting meditation. Where I am only faintly aware of my surroundings.
I don't usually do this, but I need to.
I am tired enough that I won't be able to walk out. If I am not rested enough. Thankfully, I am not the only one that this mist has made me tired.
Many people are recovering from it. Especially those who had pushed themselves hard.
Hours passed before, finally, I had opened my eyes.
I am still tired. This suppression made it really hard to recover quickly, but now I have recovered enough that I could walk away.
I got up and walked toward the stairs, where there was a line.
Unlike the stairs, that brought us where there is no line. Here it is, where everyone gets to the same time, to walk down the stairs.
Only one person could walk on their stairs. Others could also do but at their own risk.
These stairs are slippery as well and earlier, there was no fear, even if one fell. As they know, the stairs will take them to their destination.
Here, that is not the case. If one slips, they will take everyone and begin them with it.
So, they created this system of time. Where every person gets a limited time. If they fell, they would have to get in the line once again.
More than one person could enter the stairs. Like the two people in the front did after a person entered the stairs.
If that first person fell. They will come down with him and they will have to get into the line like him.
It's been a while since I got in a line like this, but I don't mind. I may be on the line, but most of my focus is on my core.

Some of them might be really connected and their teacher's family might have offered a huge bounty for it, or it might be related to cultists.
A powerful cultist died due to me. The cults didn't take it lying down.
It could be for any of these reasons. It's why I need to find out what they have been looking for in me and act according to it.
I would be able to handle anything besides my greatest secret.
If it is the case, then I am truly fucked.
I calmed myself once again and pushed those worse thoughts. I cannot make that connection
until I have proof, but until then I will behave as if it is the thing.
I will not need to do many things. I am already cautious enough.
I had changed my face and aura since coming here and took other precautions that separate
me from Micheal Zaar, but now, I will go even further.
If my greatest is out, then I will need to take every bit of cautiousness as possible, because those will not stop until they find me.
They will do anything to get me.
Forbidden power could help them tremendously. I am beneficial to them alive, but they won't mind if they get a dead body.
If they are good enough. They will be able to get enough benefits to help them with whatever difficulty they are facing.
Unlike me, they will use the forbidden power in a different way.
I took a deep breath and began to name the steps, I had taken and the steps I needed to take.
Soon, the lists appeared in front of me and the second list was smaller, as I had expected, but there are some things there I don't like.
Now, I will have to follow them, despite not liking it one bit.
