She pulled away from me slowly as if afraid of what might happen next. "I'm sorry I shouldn't have done that," she told me. "I-" my words were cut off again but this time not by Gwynn but by the doorbell. We both climbed down the ladder and where walking down the stairs when whoever was on the other side of the door started pounding on it. I pulled out my phone and checked the time it was 2:47 AM. "Maybe we should call the cops instead of opening it," I told her as I showed her the time. She nodded and turned to grab the phone in the living room. "Kye! Open up!" Andrea ordered from outside. ,y body moved automatically at the order and I was opening the door for her before Gwynn could stop me.

Andrea pushed her way past me into the house and shut the door before she turned to me. She looked me up and down before her look of concern turned into a glare that seemed unfriendlier than normal. "Andrea why are you here?" I asked. "We need to go," she said, "go grab your things," she ordered. I turned and started up the stairs, I wanted to stay and ask what the hell was going on but Andrea was rippling with power and I could see her eyes beginning to glow and I knew better than to even try and resist as futile and stupid as that was.

If Andrea already had such an effect on me and my wolf wasn't even awakened I was worried about what it would be like when I had a stronger connection to her and an actual place in the pack hierarchy. If I was a Submissive like most of my family I would probably offer my belly to her every time she walked by, as a sign of submission. How was I so easily whipped by her and had so little actual interaction with her.

I grabbed my things from Gwynn's room and made sure everything was stuffed into my bags before I started back downstairs. Gwynn was staring at Andrea looking outraged and Andrea stood by the door and didn't even seem to notice Gwynn existed. "Why am I leaving at nearly 3 o'clock in the morning?" I asked Andrea from the top of the stairs. "A local was killed in town the sherif called Razia and wanted to know if any of our wolves were missing you were the only one not accounted for and Razia was worried so she sent me to come and get you," Andrea explained in a civil tone. "Who was killed?" Gwynn asked. Andrea just shrugged her shoulders not even bothering to look at Gwynn. "The cops will probably want to know what you were doing and double check with her but for now we are going back home," Andrea said. With that she turned and opened the door and went outside. "Sorry I have to leave," I told Gwynn as I stepped past her.

She grabbed my wrist and turned me around and planted another kiss on my lips, it lasted only a few second before she pulled away. "It's ok but I kinda need to talk to you about this. Text you later?" She asked uncertainly. I nodded and left the house, she shut the door behind me and I heard the deadbolt slid into place. Andrea was already in the car impatiently waiting and tapping her finger nails on the steering wheel. I got in the passenger side and slammed the door closed. I tossed my bags into the bag and buckled up, Andrea already had the car started and began pulling out of the driveway before I was even done.

We sat in silence for a while as she drove down the dark abandoned city roads. "You smell like her," Andrea accused. I tensed at her words and turned my attention out the window. She wasn't demanding answers yet and I didn't need to volunteer any information. "Why?" She asked when I said nothing. "I was in her house,"I said. "No that not it, you carry her scent on your skin, why?" She asked. "We kissed," I told her. I didn't turn to look at her but I could feel her tense, werewolves had pretty fluid sexualities so it wasn't so odd that I was kissing a girl but the fact that the girl was human was a super big no no. It was actually against the law in almost every pack there was that forbade any wolves under 21 from having a relationship with a human.

"What happened?" Andrea demanded, "I thought there was suppose to be another girl there as well, where is she?" I finally glance away from the window and looked at Andrea she was staring straight ahead her grip on the steering wheel light. She looked perfectly calm but looking at her I could tell she was pissed, I could sense her anger in the very back of my head. "Samantha cancelled at the last second and than during the movie Gwynn kissed me," I explained. "Do you like her?" Andrea asked. I paused did I like Gwynn? I didn't stop her from kissing me in fact I kissed her back. Gwynn was nice and funny and I loved spending time with her but did I like her as more than a friend? "I don't think so," I told Andrea. "You don't think? What don't you know?" She asked her anger finally lacing through her voice. "I don't know I like hanging out with her but I never really thought of her as more that just a friend," I told her.

We slipped back into silence but this time I was the angry one. Andrea might be the next alpha but she didn't need to be sticking her nose in my business until my birthday came around I could kiss as many humans as I pleased without worrying about the consequences, at least pack consequences.

We didn't talk for the rest of the trip until we passed a curve in the road and pain raced through my head. I screamed in pain and Andrea pulled the car to the side of the road. "What the hell!" She asked. I could just barely hear her voice. I saw flames of memories as they began bombarding me just quick snatches that popped into my head than disappeared. A cabin with yellow pansies in the front garden, family night with my parents and cousins around our dining room table, numerous flashes of a girl a littler older than me but all I could make out was her straight black hair.

Suddenly I was looking at the road again but everything looked different I was in the back seat and we were heading into town instead of away from it. I could just make out my parents in the front seat, dad was saying something that I couldn't hear and than the car swerved as it did I caught a glimpse of a boy about 7 or 8 standing in the middle of the road. He had long black hair that hung limply I front of his blue eyes that were glowing brightly. Than there was pain and darkness nothing but darkness.

"Kye shhhhh, it's ok, you're ok," someone said softly. I couldn't see them through the darkness but I could hear them as they comforted me. I wanted to move closer to the voice that seemed to call to a part of me buried deep inside. "Don't worry, Kye everything is ok I texted Razia and she'll be hear soon,"the voice said. 'Razia, I don't need Razia' I thought I tried again to move closer to the voice. I heard a gasp but still couldn't seem to find whoever it was, that sounded so close by. "Kye! Can you hear me!" The voice asked. 'Yes!' I tried to call out but I didn't know if the voice heard me. "Kye, wake up" the voice ordered.

The blackness fell away and I opened my eyes I was in the back seat of the jeep laying in someone's lap. I looked up to see Andrea above me I tried to move off of her but I winced as pain shot through my head. Andrea pushed me back down into her lap. "Don't move," she ordered. I didn't have the strength to even try and argue so I relaxed and stayed laying in her lap. She gently trailed her hand trough my hair and I swear if I were a cat I would be purring at her gentle touch.

It wasn't long before I heard another car pull up next to ours and the door behind me was yanked open. "What happened?" Razia asked as she crawled into the backseat with us. "We were driving back towards the compound we came around the curve and she started screaming bloody murder, I wouldn't be surprised if they heard her all the way back into town," Andrea informed her. I tried to sit up again but Andreas hands went to my shoulders and held me down. "Kye?" Razia asked. "When we came around the curve my head exploded in pain and I started seeing random images of memories, lots of them. Then they suddenly all faded away and I was in another car in the back seat my dad was driving and my mom was in the passenger seat," I started. I explained the whole memory to them as I remembered it.

"Is that everything you remember nothing else about the crash?" Razia asked when I finished. "If there is anything else to remember I still can't but that kind of seems like all of it, right? I just woke up in the hospital after that,"I said. "Kye, you were sitting on the passenger side of the car, behind your mom right?" Razia asked. "Yeah why?" Her fingers brushed against the scar on my head. "The injury the doctors say caused the amnesia is on the other side of your head, there was nothing in the car that could have caused the injury," she said gently. I didn't say anything but nodded. Someone else had climbed into the front of the car and when Razia told them ok the car started back up. The ride was silent and I knew we weren't that far from the compound but I soon found myself battling to keep my eyes open.

The car stopped and I was half asleep I was about to move when I felt someone's arms slip under me and lift me from the car. "She's had a long enough night just let her sleep I got her," Andrea said. I was nestled deep in her arms and I relaxed into her side as she carried me into the compound. The compound was quiet as Andrea carried me towards the barracks. My eyes were shut so I didn't see anything and the last thing I was aware of was Andrea carrying me through the doors.

I turned over on the bed, that was really comfortable and hit a warm body. 'Where was I?' Gwynn's? No I left. I opened my eyes and saw that I was sleeping next to Andrea in a room that I had never seen before, the walls were a deep peach as was the blankets around me. I wanted to move but Andrea had grabbed onto me when I rolled into her and I was now pinned next to her. 'Whatever' I was too tired to care so I laid my head back down and fell back to sleep.

'Bang' I jumped as the door ricochet off the wall. Blinking through bleary eyes I stared at my cousin standing in the doorway. "What the hell, Sadie?" I asked. "Kye! What are you doing here?" Sadie demanded. "Here? What do you mean?" I asked. A pillow went sailing at Sadie from behind me and I jumped and turned to see Andrea shooting daggers at Sadie, her hair was a mess and she looked like she was still half asleep. "Out," she ordered.

Sadie had ducked the pillow just before it smacked her in the face, instead of leaving she marched towards Andrea's bed instead. Andrea appeared to have lost interest in Sadie and was sleeping again, Sadie plopped down on the bed next to Andrea. "I thought you were at a friends?" Sadie asked. I nodded as the previous night came flooding back. "I was until Andrea showed up pounding on the door at three in the morning demanding I leave," I told her. "So what exactly are you doing in Andrea's bed?" Sadie asked. "She was asleep when we got back to the compound so I carried her in. I didn't feel like going to her room than back to mine, so I just brought her here," Andrea answered. " thought you went back to sleep?" Sadie asked.

"I wanted to but you have this damn awful annoying voice," Andrea muttered and sat up. "Which is why I get to wake you up when your running late. Razia has ordered everyone meet downstairs before breakfast so you better hurry up and get dressed," Sadie said with a pointed look at both of us. I looked down and realized I was wearing only my bra and panties, a quick glance at Andrea told me she was similarly dressed. "What the hell! Where are my clothes?" I asked. Andrea pointed in the general direction of the door. I got up and started searching for my clothing. They weren't by the door but strewn over the entire room, when I finally found them all I quickly changed. I finished just as Andrea stepped out of her walk in closet, she was wearing a tight black blouse and blue jeans. Her morning hair was gone and her hair now fell perfectly behind her.

I followed Andrea and Sadie as they made their way through the halls out onto the loft above the meeting room. Downstairs the meeting room was packed and everyone was whispering, I could taste the worry in the air. We went down the stairs and split up. Andrea when to the front of the room where Razia was waiting and Sadie went to the front of the middle section where all the Gamma I wolves were seated. I went to the back of the middle section by the Gamma III wolves. I saw Ryan and Skye behind me and Ember and Carson with their family in the middle section. The front row was for the betas and with so few of them there was room to spare, the rest or the rows however were packed.

Razia stood up and everyone's zeroed in on her. "Last night a girl in town was murdered, brutally." Razia told the room. "The local cops saw the scene and immediately thought werewolves, they called me down to the scene but there was no trace of wolf there," the pack started shifting uncomfortably as Razia continued. "The cops are now looking for a rouge wolf." The meeting erupted people shouting questions at Razia. "Enough," Andrea said stepping forward. A wash of power traveled through the room in the pack bond and outside of it. The room quieted instantly. "I received information later in the night that leads me to believe it is not a wolf we are dealing with but in fact a vampire," Razia said.
