It hit 6:50 and I knew we had to get up or I had to get up because I knew I would take a while and we had to leave by 8:15. I was playing on Amari's chest while we watched Shameless and I was very comfortable.
"Baby you wanna start getting ready?" Amari asked me as he grabbed the remote and paused the tv.
"I don't want to but I need to." I groaned as I buried my head in his neck. I bit his neck gently.
"Alaysia."
"Hm?" I said as I bit his neck again.
"Stop biting me."
I frowned and groaned before getting out of his neck and getting up from on top of him. I went to my closet to go look for something to wear. I had to be quick because we had to go to Amari's house so he could get dressed and I didn't even think about that earlier hence why I didn't get up until now. I felt bad because I didn't even think of him but on the bright side it's kind of good to be late to parties because no one is usually there when it first starts. I wanted to be ready by 7:45.
I picked out a couple of clothes and laid them down on my bed before walking into my bathroom and hooking my phone up to my speaker so that I could listen to music while I got ready.
Thirsty by PARTYNEXTDOOR started playing.

I stripped from my clothes and put them in my hamper before hopping in the shower. I lathered my washrag with my Dove soap bar and then washed myself down before rinsing off. I washed my face with Cerave Foaming Facial Cleanser.
After I finished rinsing myself off, I got out of the shower and dried myself off with my towel that was hanging on the wall to the left of the shower.
I walked over to the sink with my towel wrapped around my chest and brushed my teeth for the second time today before moisturizing my face and then sitting on the toilet with the lid down to moisturize the rest of my body. I left the bathroom to go put my clothes on. Amari was still lying down on the bed. I turned away from him as I unwrapped the towel that was covering me and then started to get dressed.
"You look so good, baby." Amari said with something in his voice. I couldn't decipher it but it sounded like desire or something of that sort.
I could feel my cheeks start to heat up and a smile crept up on my face. "Thank you, my love."
I finished getting clothed and then turned back around to face him to grab my towel from off of the bed and return it to its hook on the bathroom wall.
I was wearing something cute and semi-casual because it was more of an elegant party and not one where people are supposed to be twerking around and getting drunk off their asses.
I went back over to the sink so I could start on the light makeup look I wanted to do. A lot of makeup wasn't my thing because I always felt like I had to be careful and couldn't touch my face or I would feel the constant need to check it because I thought it got messed up somehow. I was not a big fan of heavy makeup. I applied a little bit of concealer under my eyes, did a bit of contour, and a bit of blush. I already had my lashes done so I didn't need to do anything with my eyes. I brushed up my brows and then lined my lips before applying so clear gloss to them.
Once finishing up with my makeup, I cleaned up the sink and then exited the bathroom. Amari was getting his shoes on because he knew it was time to start heading over to his place.
It was now 7:40 so I was right on time.
"Ready?" I said as I slipped my heels on with bows above the toes and then grabbed my little crossbody purse and phone.
He turned to look at me and froze for a little before walking over to me and grabbing me by my neck, pulling me closer to him. He placed kiss on my lips and I instantly raised my hand to his face so that I could wipe the gloss off of his lips with my thumb.
"You look so sexy, mami."
I smiled. "I would kiss you again but I don't want to get my lip gloss all over you but thank you." I said before turning around and starting to walk out of my bedroom.
"Aye before we leave, you staying over at my place tonight since it's closer to the party?"
"Yeah that's a good idea."
"Go grab your stuff then."
I walked as fast as I could with these heels on and grabbed my little overnight bag that had my face stuff in it before heading back to the front of my apartment whee he was waiting for me.
We left the apartment and walked over to his truck. I liked his truck more than his car just because it had a lot more space and I was more of a tuck girly than a sedan girly.
It was 8:13 when we arrived at his house. Once we got in, he went straight to the bathroom to get freshened up before we left. I sat down in his gaming chair and posted some pictures of my outfits on Instagram.
I started getting bored so I went to go join him in the bathroom. I was going to sit down on the toilet but it was in its own little room so that wasn't me being in the same room as him. I sat on the counter while I waited for him to get out of the shower. I took a couple of pictures.
Once he got out the shower, he saw me waiting for him on the counter. "What are you doing in here, mami?" he said as he walked over to me and stood in the middle of my legs.
"Just sitting. I wanted to be in your presence." I placed a chaste kiss on his lips and then gave him space to do what he needed to do.
He brushed his teeth and put lotion on his face before leaving the bathroom and heading over to his closet. I followed him in to his closet and watched him get dressed. I didn't want to seem like a creep but I needed to be in his presence so that's what I was doing.
After he finished getting ready we left his house at around 8:45 which meant that we would arrive at the party at around 9:28.
I called Imani on the way there to see if she was there yet or what was going on. She told me that she was still getting ready and that she probably won't get there until 10.
After my phone call with Imani, I hooked my phone up to the truck and started playing music. Amari had his right hand resting on my thigh and his fingers were tapping against my thigh to the beat of the dog that was playing while I was singing along.
Eventually we arrived to the hall that the party was being held at. From the amount of cars that I saw there was a lot more people there than I was expecting and it had me nervous because I knew I didn't know anyone here except for Alexis and since she was the host, she was probably going to be busy.
"You good, baby? Remember I'm right by your side so if you need anything just let me know." He said as turned to face me in his seat.
I took a deep breath and nodded at him before grabbing my phone and getting ready to get out of the car.
"Wait." I heard him say as he hopped out the car and did a light jog over to my side of the vehicle. He opened the door for me and I had a smile on my face as I stepped out of the truck.
"Thank you." I said and grabbed his hand before we started walking towards the party.
The moment we walked in, I was overwhelmed with the amount of people in the space. It was so fucking crowded but I had Amari beside me so I would be okay. I needed a drink to cool me down so I almost instantly started walking towards the very elegant bar. I dragged Amari by the hand so that he followed me and so that we wouldn't lose each other in the crowd.
Once we came to the bar, I ordered a water with extra ice.
"You good, Aysia?" Mari said in my ear.
"Mhm. I just need a drink to cool me down and take in my surroundings."
We sat at the bar for a little sipping on our drinks and talking. I liked to people watch so I told him what I observed in the hall. The party was very diverse. There were mostly black people but there were a lot of hispanics and white people as well.
Imani sent me a text letting me know that she had arrived so I told Amari that I was going to go get her at the entrance but he insisted on coming with me.
She introduced us to Vanessa and she was absolutely gorgeous, she seemed really nice as well.
(Im just gonna go ahead and put face claims for both of them, Imani and Vanessa, because they are gonna be pretty consistent in the story. I don't want to put them right in the middle of the chapter so you can find it in the  A/N)
Amari and I led them both back to the bar and Imani almost instantly ordered an alcoholic beverage. From what I could se so far Vanessa and Mani worked well together, it was cute.
At some point in the night, I got the courage to start mingling around and I ended up meeting some pretty cool people. I even got the number of a couple of girls that made me hope that i would build a friendship with them and I was really excited about that because I only have one friend and it's nice to have new people in my life.
After about another hour and a half my social batter was beyond dead and I was so ready to go home and Amari could tell because he kept checking in with me and I eventually gave in. The only reason I din't want to leave was because I was having a lot of fun and I don't have fun like this very often.
Before we left, we went to find Imani so that I could tell her I was leaving and make sure that she was okay before I left. She was a little tipsy but it looked like Vanessa had her handled so I was okay leaving.
Amari and I left the hall and went back to his truck. About 5 minutes into the drive, I was knocked out.
