4:23am. That was what time it currently was. Amari was sound asleep beside me. For some reason I could not go back to sleep.
Amari and I had only went to sleep at around 1:30am but I just wasn't tired for some reason.
I stayed as quiet as possible and slid out of bed before grabbing my laptop and heading to the living room. I didn't want to have the bright light of my MacBook disturbing him in his sleep.
Once I got to the living room, I got comfortable on the couch and went to Safari. Sometimes when I cant sleep, doing this helps me. I'm usually in the comfort of my own bed though.
I found a video to set the mood and shortly after my hand was making its way down into my pants. I usually had to use a toy since my nails were done most of the time but when I didn't have them done, I used my hands. I woke up at around 9am. Amari wasn't in bed when I woke up but I did smell something delicious so I assumed that he was making breakfast.
I made my way to the bathroom to brush my teeth and wash my face before making my way to the kitchen to see what was being made.
"Good morning, bubba." I said as I came up to him and gave him a hug from behind.
"Good morning, baby."
"What are you making?"
"Some French toast, eggs and sausage."
It brought a smile to face that not only was he cooking breakfast for me but he was making stuff I liked. French toast was my favorite and I would definitely have sausage over bacon any day.
"Thank you. You didn't have to."
"Of course, mami."
While he was occupied with cooking breakfast I thought it was a good time to get his gift ready so that I could give it to him while we were eating breakfast.
I went to my bedroom and grabbed the box from under my bed.
"Breakfast is ready!" I heard him call out from the kitchen.
I stuffed the box into my pocket and walked back out to the kitchen.
He had two plates set up at the island with a glass of apple juice beside each plate. Another thing that I liked. Apple juice over orange juice any day of the week.
"It looks and smells amazing, baby." I said as I took a seat in one of the stools at the counter.
"Thank you."
I dug into my food and moaned at the taste.
"Is it that good?"
"Yes. I don't know why you're not a chef."
"Well I did go to culinary school." He said before taking a bite of the food on his plate.
"Really?"
"Yeah the plan was to become a chef after school but life got ahead of me."
"Well it seems that you have got ahead of life from what I can see so maybe you could re-explore becoming a chef because I am very sure that word would appreciate being graced with your creations."
"I don't know. Maybe." He shrugged.
"Well I have something for you." I said as I went into my pocket and pulled out the box before placing it on the counter in the middle of us.
"What is it?"
"Open it and find out, nigga." I laughed but I was a bit nervous because what if he didn't like it or didn't want it.
He took the box into his hands and slowly opened up the box.
"Alaysia." He said softly.
"Do you not like it? I can get you one that you like." I said kind of panicking.
"No, baby. I love it." His eyes had tears coming from them which brought tears to my eyes.
"Are you sure?"
"Yes. You didn't have to spend so much money on me." He said before grabbing me by my chin and guiding my head towards his to place a deep passionate kiss to my lips.
I wrapped my arms around his neck and deepened the kiss.
I pulled away. "I wanted to show you how much I appreciated you and how grateful I am that you have come into my life." I wiped away the stray tear rolling down his cheek with my thumb. It made my chest tight to see him crying.
"I love you, Alaysia Marie Martin." He said barely above a whisper.
I was going crazy on the inside. Butterflies were flying around my stomach while it was doing backflips and I had the biggest smile on my face ever.
"I love you too, Amari Star Richards" I said and placed a kiss on his lips.
"You deserved to be fucked to your hearts desire." Amari mumbled against my lips and I laughed. I was shocked.
After a bit more of our lovey doveyness we finished up our breakfast and I brought up the party that my client, Alexis was hosting and had invited me to.
"Would you go with me?" I asked him as I walked to the sink with our dishes. I had made it this far so I was hoping that he was letting me clean up after him after he had made breakfast for us.
"Of course. Do you know what time it's starting?" I could hear his voice getting closer to me as he spoke and eventually he was right behind me.
I let out a yelp when I was picked up in his arms and carried out of the kitchen and into the living room. I was gently placed on the couch.
"What did you do that for?"
"Because I done told you about letting me clean up the kitchen after a meal."
I rolled my eyes and felt a pinch on my thigh.
"Now tell me the details of this party."
I told him the details that Alexis had texted me and then he went to go clean up the kitchen. While he did that I texted Imani to tell her about the party and she said that she would be going and bringing Vanessa.
The party didn't start until 9 so we had tons of time before we had to start getting ready.
After Amari and I both got dressed in some comfortable clothes, we headed over to his house because I liked to be over there. It was better than my apartment.
We spent our day there until we started getting ready for the party.
