I woke up to my alarm going off which meant that it was around 8. I didn't want to get up because I was still pretty tired but I had to because my first appointment was at 10.
I got up from Amari's bed and made my way to his bathroom. I brushed my teeth and washed my face before packing up the stuff that I had left on his sink and getting ready to go. I put on a pair of sweatpants and a long sleeve crop top before putting on my shoes and a jacket. I would take a shower once I got back home.
Amari was still sound asleep and I didn't want to wake him because we were up pretty late last night.
I wrote him a quick note telling him that I had to get home because I had a couple of appointments today and needed to get home. I left it on his nightstand and placed a soft kiss on his cheek before leaving his house.
Once I got into my car, I put some music on to wake me up on my drive back home. I was home by 9 which gave me enough time to shower and set up the studio.
It only took me about 30 minutes to get all done so I was now waiting for my client to come. I was missing Imani so I decided to FaceTime her while I made myself a bowl of cereal. I hope that I was staying in contact with her enough because I didn't want her to feel like now that I have a boyfriend, she will be put in the backseat and I won't give her as much attention.
She answered on the third ring. She was probably sleeping.
"Good morning bestie!!" I said with energy.
"Morning." She said with a groggy voice.
"What's wrong with you?"
"Well I was having a nice dream and someone called me which woke me up." She said and I could see her shuffling around in her bed. I laughed and rolled my eyes.
I felt bad because a lot has kind of happened since we last talked and I wanted to tell her all about it but I felt like I should've told her sooner even though it has been about three days since we last talked to each other.
"I miss you and I feel like I have been neglecting you. I don't want you to feel like just because I have a boyfriend that you aren't my best friend anymore because I would choose you over him any day." I said into the phone before taking a bite of my cereal.
"Number one, you have a boyfriend?!?!"
"See this is exactly what I was talking about, you should have already known this being that it has been two days since it happened and you're just now finding out. I should've told you sooner." I said starting to feel really bad.
"Number two, stop doing that. I have been busy the past few days as well so it is okay. I have not felt neglected or anything. I would have definitely let you know if I felt like you were forgetting about me or whatever." She laughed.
"Okay well before I get into everything. Tell me what's been going on in your life."
She told me what's been going on with her and how finally fully dropped that nigga Von. I was sick of his ass. Not only did she drop him but she met someone else and it was a girl. Imani sounded like she was in love even though she just met the girl. I would have to meet this person that has got my bestie head over heels for her in two days.
I was about to tell her all that has been going on with Amari and I but a call interrupting me and guess who it was. Amari. A smile appeared on my face when I saw his name but I wanted to talk to Mani some more before my client came in 10 minutes. I declined to call and returned to the FaceTime with Imani.
Before I could even say anything she said, "Who calling you that made you have that big ass smile on your face?"
"Amari." I said softly.
"Why didn't you answer it?"
"Because I'm on the phone with you and he can wait. Plus I have client in a little bit and I want to tell you everything before then." Right after I finished saying that I got another call from him.
I declined it but this time I sent him a text to let him know I was on the phone because I didn't want to just leave him hanging and have him and at me.
After I sent the text, I started telling Imani what happened and ending up finishing right before my client knocked on the door.
As I walked to open the door for my client, I told Imani I had to go and that I would call her later so we could make plans to get together.
I had 3 clients today and about a  two hour break in between my first and second client  depending on what time I finished the set on my first client so I would most likely call Imani back and then talk to Amari too. Hopefully, I would finish all my clients up by 4 though.

I finished up my first client by 11:45. My next client came at 1:30. I had a couple text from Amari so I decided I would respond to him before I called Imani back.

I laughed at his messages before I called him. He answered on the first ring.
"Hi, bubba." I said softly.
"Why you ain't answer me all day, baby?" He said softly but I could tell there was a bit of irritation in his voice.
"Im sorry. I was on the phone with Imani earlier and I hadn't talked to her in a while because I have been spending most of my time with you go I wanted to give her my undivided attention and then I had a client right after that and I was focused on that so I am sorry." I said genuinely.
"It's all good. I just wish you would be little less vague in your texts or just respond in general so I know what's going on with you."
"I understand." I heard an engine going over the phone so I assumed that he was on the way here because he said he would come at around 12. "Are you on the way here?"
"Yeah."
"Good. I miss my boyfriend." I said with a smile on my face.
"Your boyfriend misses you too. He woke up in an empty bed." He said as I heard a car door close.
"Im sorry. I didn't want to wake you and I had to get home to get ready."
"You gotta chill with all that apologizing shit. There is nothing to be sorry for but wake me up next time please and come open up your door."
I hung up the phone and practically ran towards the front door to open it. I jumped in his arms and gave him a kiss.
He walked into the apartment with my legs wrapped around his waist.
"Hey, baby."
"Hi." I mumbled before placing another chaste kiss to his lips and then dropping my legs from his waist.
I remembered that I needed to talk to Imani about getting together so before I get any further with Amari, I grabbed my phone and sent her a text telling her to let me know what she wanted to do and when. All of a sudden I thought of a great idea of what we could do soon.
I wanted us to get together just the two of us but it would be nice if we did something with our partners as well. So I also brought up spending a weekend in Manhattan with our boo things some time.
She said she would talk to Vanessa, her little girlfriend, about it and then let me know. I just needed to bring it up with Amari now.
He was sat on the couch now so I walked over to him and then straddled his lap before placing a kiss on his lips.
"There's something I want to ask you about." I said.
"And what's that?" He asked as placed his hands on my lower back/upper ass.
"I came up with a great idea of something we could do with my best friend so you could get to know her. I was thinking that we could spend a weekend in Manhattan and she would bring the person she's talking to." I didn't want him to say no so before he could say anything  I added on, "And I can pay for everything if that's a problem."
He kind of looked insulted by my last statement. "No, mami. That's not a problem. I got it. I think it's a pretty good idea and it sounds fun so just let me know when you're thinking and I can get things situated."
"Really?!?" I said excitedly.
"Yeah."
"Well actually, it's not definite yet because Imani is still talking to 'friend' about it and she'll let me know when they are both available." I said. I didn't know what to call Vanessa so I kept calling her different things. I didn't know if they were just messing around, still in a talking stage, or dating. I didn't know.
"Okay. Just let me know, mami. When is your next client coming?"
"One thirty." I said as I picked up my phone to see what time it was at the moment. It was only 12:23 so we had a bit of time.
"Once they come I can go out and pick up that burger that you wanted the day you came over to my house because I didn't stay true to my promise." He said the last part with a bit of a frown on his face.
"It's okay but that would be nice. Thank you, baby." I said with a smile on my face.
"Can we watch our show in the meantime?" Amari asked.
I nodded my head and then slid off of him and got into a position where I would be able to see the television. I was still pretty mush on top of him. I had one leg sprawled across his lap, my arms wrapped around his torso and my head leaning on his chest.
We watched an episode before it was time for my client to get here. He left to go get our lunch and I sent him my order before getting to work on my client.
The rest of the day was pretty calm. After my appointments, I spent the rest of the day just watching Shameless with Amari and we solidified our plans to Manhattan with Imani and Vanessa.

hey everyone!!!! Â first thing I would like to say is how appreciative I am for over 3k reads!!! I wasn't active for the last two days because I was barely home and I was super happy when I came back and saw that so tysm. hopefully I will get another chapter out tdy but school might start back up tmr depending on the weather so I may not be as consistent as I have been the last week (sadly ð). also this was a pretty good chapter, almost 2000 words. once again thank you so much for over 3k reads!!!
