I was pretty nervous about going to his place. Don't ask me why because I couldn't tell you exactly except for the fact that it is new to me. I kept trying to imagine what it would look like but I couldn't.
Was it modern, industrial, a loft, a studio, penthouse?
I didn't know because I still didn't know him too well. Maybe if I knew him more, I would be able to tell what he likes and what his home would look like.
I was pretty silent the whole ride. I was either on my phone or staring out the window. He seemed to notice because he kept glancing over at me.
We came to a red light. "You okay, mami?"
I nodded my head.
"Words please." He said and turned my head to look at him by grabbing my chin gently.
"Yes, I'm fine bubba. Im just a bit nervous since I've never been to your place before."
"There's no reason to be nervous, baby." He says before turning his head to focus on the road before driving off from the red light.
We eventually make it to his place. I didn't eve think of him living in a house for some reason. Maybe it's because he's still young and not a lot of people of his age own a house.
The house is in a very nice neighborhood and it's a really beautiful house from the outside and I know it's going to be gorgeous on the inside. It's the type of house I plan on living in someday.
"Your house is beautiful."
"Thank you, mami." he says before hopping out the car and then coming around the car to open the passenger side door for me.
I get out the car and then follow him inside of his house.
I take a second to take in the house once we enter. It is so pretty. We definitely are going to have to spend more time here when I'm not working.
"Im gonna go take a shower and get ready, feel free to make yourself at home. The kitchen is right over there if you get hungry but don't eat a lot because the surprise includes food. You can come up to my bedroom and wait for me there if you want." He says before he starts making his way upstairs and into his bedroom.
I follow him because I didn't want to sit downstairs by myself in silence in a new space. His bedroom was cool. He had LED lights lining the ceiling and there was a playstation set up in the corner. (similar to this or you can use your imagination)
He went to his bathroom which from what I could see through the open door was grand and there was a lot of black and white features.
I looked around his bedroom while he was doing his business in the bathroom. He had a couple of pictures scattered around his room. Some were of him with some other guys which could be his brothers or some his close friends and the other pictures were of him with an older woman and man. I assumed those were his parents. This leads me to believe that he loves his family a lot. I like that about him and maybe he is serious about building something with me.
After about 30 minutes, he comes out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around his waist, exposing the tattoos on his chest. I couldn't help but stare.
He walked over to me and placed a kiss on my head before walking into his closet. I was standing fairly close to his closet so he was on his way in there when he kissed me.
I sat down at his set up in the corner while he got dressed and watched a YouTube video on my phone while I waited for him.
He finished getting ready and then we made our way out of his house and to my surprise.
"Can you tell me what the surprise is yet?" I asked him.
"Nah."
"Please, I have waited long enough." I slightly begged.
"Mmmm... no."
"I thought you liked me but I guess not since you want to keep secrets from me."
I watched him roll his eyes at my dramatics. "Fine. Since you want to be so dramatic. I was going to take you to a nice brunch and then do a bit of shopping before I take you to an amusement park because I remember you telling me that the first time we hung out."
I was very excited on the inside because people don't usually do things like this for me. The closest I have had to being treated like this is with Imani but she can't do it frequently because she isn't made of money but she always tries. I gave him a big smile and told him thank you. He kissed my cheek before driving out of his driveway.
We went to this cute breakfast spot and I got steak and eggs. When I tell you that was the best steak I have ever had, I am telling you the truth. It was amazing. Amari ordered some French toast with eggs and sausage. The French toast looked really good so I asked him if I could have a small piece. He gave it to me with no hesitation which made me really happy and the French toast tasted amazing. I thanked him and gave him a piece of my steak and eggs in exchange. He agreed that it was some pretty good steak.
After our brunch, he took me to the really big shopping center in the area. I looked around for a while. I was really just looking around at the moment because I didn't want him to spend a lot of money on me. He had already paid for breakfast and I assumed that he paid for the tickets for the amusement park so that was enough for me. We had stopped at Hollister and I got a couple of pair of pants which was pretty expensive. I went to pay for it because I was fully capable of doing it myself because I have a pretty good income but he didn't let me so for the rest of our shopping trip I tried to refrain from buying a lot of stuff unless I really wanted it.
At one point he started picking up stuff that he saw me eyeing and just put it in the basket much to my dismay.
By the end of our shopping trip, he had spent over a thousand dollars on me and I was really grateful for it even though there were a couple of times I was complaining about the amount that he was spending on me.
I gave him a kiss on his lips after he put all of the shopping bags in the backseat of his car. He deepened the kiss and wrapped his hand around my neck gently.
At some point I had found myself on his lap in the drivers seat. He let out a small groan and that made me realize that I was grinding on him.
"You better stop before I can't control myself anymore and we end up not making it to the amusement park." He said as he placed kisses on my neck.
I slowly pulled away from him and placed a soft kiss on his neck before getting off of his lap and sitting back in the passenger seat.
"Thank you so much for today, Amari. You don't understand how much I appreciate it." I said to him with a smile on my face.
"Of course, mami. I would do it over and over again just to make you happy." He started to drive out of the shopping center parking lot. He placed his hand on my thigh as he was driving and I could feel my cheeks growing hot.
It was about a 30 minute drive to the amusement park. It wasn't too cold outside today so I'm glad he chose today to do it.
We made it into the park and I had already chose what rides I wanted to go on. They were easy to notice because they were so big.
He asked me which one I wanted to go on first and I told him the big purple ride that we were fairly close to. He looked a bit nervous as we stood in line and I laughed at him.
"What are you laughing at?" He said side-eyeing me.
"You look like you're about to throw up and we haven't even rode it yet." I laughed.
"Im not one for rollercoasters."
"Why did you bring us here then? We can leave and go watch movie at your place or something." I said as I took his hand, ready to turn around and get out of line.
He pulled me to his chest by my hand but I backed up little just because I didn't want to be one of those couples you see in rollercoaster lines.
"We aren't leaving. I brought you here because I wanted you to have fun so don't worry about me and have fun. For me, baby." He said before giving me a quick kiss on my lips with a smile on his face.
"Ok." I said softly. "Thank you"

We spent a couple of hours at the amusement park. We got a couple of snacks from the stands that were around the park. Amari was close to throwing up a couple of times which had me reminding him we could leave if he wanted to but he said no each time.
I had a lot of fun in the end and Amari won some teddy bears for me from the little carnival games in the park.
We made it back to his place at around 8. I did have clients tomorrow so I couldn't stay the night but I would stay for a couple more hours.
Amari had convinced me to leave some of the clothes that we bought at his place because he believed I would be coming over more often but I had to remind him that I had work that was in my apartment which was convenient for me. He said and I quote, "Maybe I can buy a shed here and we can turn it into your studio."
I looked at him like he was crazy because how was he gonna buy me a whole new workspace. I wasn't moving in with him.
"Not yet." He mumbled to himself and I acted like I didn't hear him.
We watched two more episodes of our show before I started to get tired and asked him if he would drop me off at home.
He took me home and helped me put away the rest of the clothes that he bought me before leaving.
I went to bed thinking about our day we had together and I sent him another thank you text before falling asleep.

hey yall!!!! this chapter is way better than the last chapter. I wrote almost 2000 words which is significantly longer than the rest of the chapters. since it is longer I haven't edited it yet so sorry for any errors. don't forget to let me know what chapter length you refer.
