Chapter Eight

The Great Hania Empire and the Greater Pardovenese Empire had solidified their positions as the dominant superpowers of the Supercontinent, yet their relationship was anything but amicable. A Cold War-like atmosphere loomed over the land, with both empires amassing influence and power while avoiding confrontation. Instead, smaller nations found themselves embroiled in conflicts, each seeking to claim whatever advantages they could amid the growing geopolitical chaos.

In the far north, the Greater Vostok Empire found itself under siege by the relentless forces of the Satam Empire. The demonic legions of Satam proved formidable, rapidly overrunning Vostok's northern territories. Emperor Vasily, faced with inevitable defeat, gathered his family and loyalists and fled via an airship—a recent acquisition from the Great Hania Empire. News of their escape spurred panic across southern Vostok, leading to a mass migration into the Great Hania Empire as refugees sought safety from the escalating conflict.

Meanwhile, in the Germania Empire, Emperor Nathlan XXV sought a desperate measure to fortify his realm. Utilizing ancient summoning magic, he and his advisors attempted to call forth powerful warriors from another realm to aid them. Their ritual yielded an unexpected and chilling result: the summoning of Adolf Hitler and his Nazi regime from the Second World War.

Initially, Hitler and his officers were perplexed, uncertain whether they were facing a bizarre trick or an elaborate deception. The Germanian soldiers, reminiscent of Holy Roman Empire knights yet equipped with early 20th-century firearms, were a strange sight to the Nazis. Nathlan, however, presented them as divine warriors chosen to save Germania from its enemies.

Some of Nathlan's advisors, skeptical of these so-called heroes, used magical means to scan their memories. What they discovered horrified them—Hitler and his followers were not saviors but murderers and war criminals. One advisor courageously spoke out, warning Nathlan of the true nature of the Nazis. His words fell on deaf ears, and Nathlan swiftly silenced him, unwilling to heed the truth.

A few days later, Hitler and the Nazis began consolidating influence, manipulating Nathlan's government from the shadows. They covertly spread their ideology among the populace, particularly targeting white-skinned humans susceptible to their rhetoric. Before long, a coup erupted. Nathlan and his family barely managed to escape to the Pavun Kingdom, fleeing by car as chaos engulfed Germania.

Hitler wasted no time in renaming the Germania Empire into Neues Reich. Drastic changes followed. Approximately 35% of the population—composed primarily of demi-humans, elves, and non-white humans—were dehumanized, stripped of their rights, and sent to camps where they faced brutal experimentation and extermination. Any resistance was crushed mercilessly by the newly formed Gestapo and SS units.

Neues Reich severed all diplomatic ties with the Adigalitia Kingdom, Flamescyra Kingdom, Gaelisia Kingdom, Ruskovia Kingdom, Fimnorke Kingdom, and several others before launching a ruthless campaign of conquest. Employing Blitzkrieg tactics reminiscent of those used in World War II, the Reich rapidly annexed one nation after another—Flamescyra fell first, followed by Gaelisia, the Saxson Dynasty, Fimnorke, and Arvalon, culminating in the annexation of Aireland.

As reports of the atrocities committed by Neues Reich spread, the Great Hania Empire took decisive action. Declaring war against Neues Reich, they severed all diplomatic ties and began mobilizing their superior military forces.

While Hania prepared for conflict, Satam pressed forward with its conquests, successfully annexing the Zebek Kingdom and pushing deep into Vostok's heartland. Meanwhile, the Bouria Empire, having aggressively expanded by subjugating Marchemo, Carvos, and Messoria, met an abrupt and catastrophic end. A relatively small contingent of Hania's forces obliterated Bouria's military within days, leading to its unconditional surrender.

The following day, as the remnants of Bouria's government crumbled, Hania's special forces infiltrated the capital. Karhansev, the mad emperor of Bouria, was captured alive—a humiliating end for a once-powerful ruler. The Kingdom of Cauglican, witnessing Bouria's fate, surrendered to Hania without a fight and was swiftly annexed.

Though the wars on the Supercontinent raged on, distant lands remained untouched by the conflict. In the vast southern seas, a ship laden with refugees, including the Messorian royal family, arrived at an uncharted land. Their arrival did not go unnoticed. A fleet of English-style ships intercepted them and escorted them to Beckett Principality.

Great Prince Cutler Beckett, formerly the lord of the East India Trading Company, had been ruling this principality for years after being summoned into this world. Beckett Principality, a vassal of the Saulpad Kingdom—a formidable maritime power boasting a navy of 30,000 wooden ships—welcomed the refugees. The Messorian king and his people were granted amnesty and allowed to settle within the Prime Insulaes, a sprawling archipelago located roughly 400km northeast of the Supercontinent.

After relentless battles and shifting alliances, the war-torn lands of the Supercontinent reached a fragile truce. Yet, the geopolitical landscape was forever altered. Before the Cold War, 58 nations had vied for dominance. Now, only seven remained:

1. The Great Hania Empire (1st) – The largest and most technologically advanced nation, now a global superpower.

2. Greater Satam Empire (2nd) – A powerful yet sinister force bolstered by demonic magic.

3. Nbemde Empire (3rd) – A formidable empire maintaining 1950s-level technology.

4. Greater Pardevonese Empire (4th) – Another advanced nation, retaining 1950s-level technology.

5. Neues Reich (5th) – The terrifying new empire ruled by the resurrected Nazis.

6. Holy Emdesia Empire (6th) – A deeply religious nation, struggling to maintain influence.

7. Wimbledon Kingdom (7th) – Devastated by war, having lost 40% of its territory.

While the Supercontinent entered an uneasy peace, whispers of a new power growing in the east spread across the Prime Insulaes. The Amagostafa Empire, the largest nation in the archipelago, took a keen interest in the technology of the Great Hania Empire. Their curiosity foreshadowed further complications in the years to come.

The technological disparity among the seven remaining nations was stark. Thanks to the Great Hania Empire's advancements, the technology across these nations ranged from the early 20th century to the modern age:

· Greater Satam Empire, Wimbledon Kingdom, and Holy Argusten Empire – Post-WWI technology, with Satam possessing powerful demonic magic.

· Neues Reich – WWII-era military technology.

· Greater Pardevonese Empire and Nbemde Empire – Mid-1950s technology.

· The Great Hania Empire – Cutting-edge 1990s technology, making it the most advanced nation on the Supercontinent.

The date was 217th, August, 5 IE. A new chapter in history was about to unfold, as the consequences of the Cold War reshaped the world of Terria forever.
