Chapter 32: EPILOGUE

"Who's that?" he asked Off  as they were writing their papers at the school park.

He was pertaining to the guy who was walking alongside Gun.

"Oh? That one? He's Gun's friend from the Business Ad department. They're quite close," Off replied and continued writing.

"Aren't you jealous of him? You know, another guy is looming around Gun aside from you," he added and flipped the book they were using as reference.

Off chuckled and looked at him, an amused smile on his face.

"I trust Gun. And besides, I'm sure he's not into him. Don't worry. I'll introduce him to you."

"Tsss. No thanks," he scoffed and continued writing.

"Hey! Come on. You missed it again!"

Lee jokingly said as he didn't catch the ball Lee threw towards him.

They were at the school grounds, just casually passing the ball while they were walking back to their building as they just finished practicing at the school gym.

He chuckled and grabbed the ball, gripping it tightly as he aimed at Lee.

"Oh really. But can you catch this?" he laughed and threw the ball back to Lee.

But he miscalculated his force because Lee totally missed it and it landed somewhere else, specifically on someone's head.

"SHIT!" the one who got hit cursed and he immediately walked towards him to apologize.

"WILL YOU BE CARE---" the guy shouted at him but eventually froze.

He stopped on my tracks as he realized whom he just hit. It was the guy who was always around Gun, the one from the Business Administration department.

"Oh, I'm so sorry. Didn't mean to throw the ball this far," he apologized as he was the one at fault.

"Oh Gun. Didn't notice you there," he said to Gun who was standing behind the guy.

"Uh, by the way Tay, this is New, a friend from Business Ad. New, this is Tay," Gun introduced  them and Tay just replied with a smile. Not that he was interested in this person's name but he didn't want to come off as disrespectful so he just smiled at New.

"I gotta go. Again, I'm sorry. By the way, Off, was looking for you. He said he was gonna tell you something important."

"He didn't text me anything," Gun asked with a confused look on his face.

Maybe he will later. Bye!" he grabbed the ball and started jogging back to where his friends were.

"Who's that guy you hit?" Foei asked the moment he came back.

"Oh, New. Someone from the Business Ad," he replied and passed him the ball.

"He looks kinda cute though, but crazy," Foei added and singlehandedly caught the ball.

"Huh?" he furrowed his eyebrows, quite confused with his statement.

"Look," Foei then pointed his lips, like he was telling him to look at the direction his lips were pointing at.

He snickered as he watched New dancing around, his arms flailing like he was dancing with somebody only he could see. He then grabbed Gun by the shoulders and shook them aggressively to which Gun responded with a laugh.

He chuckled as he removed his gaze from the two and started walking back to their building.

"Yeah, indeed he is," he muttered unconsciously.

"CONGRATULATIONS!!!"

They shouted together as they jumped in joy. It was their graduation day and to say that they were happy would be an understatement.

They all looked at the camera and smiled  for the picture.

He grabbed Off and Arm by the shoulder and brought them to a tight hug.

"I'm just so happy to be celebrating this milestone with you frieeends," he shouted as the three of them jumped around in circles, laughing whilst singing the word Congratulations several times.

They only stopped when Off noticed Gun approaching them.

"Gun! Congratulations!" Off exclaimed as Gun approached them. He saw Off winking at Gun and mouthing him the words "I love you."

"Tssss. People in love stink," he muttered under his breath.

They then continued with their picture taking, huddling around each other as cameras snapped in front of them.

He rolled his eyes when he noticed Off and Gun secretly holding hands and whispering to each other.

He was about to nudge the two when Gun called out a very familiar name.

"New!"

All of them turned to look at New who was slowly approaching the group.

"Everybody this is New. Tay do you still remember him? He's the one you accidentally hit with a ball. New this is Arm, Alice, Krist and Singto. And of course you already met Off. New's a friend from the Business Ad department."

He just nodded and smiled without showing his teeth.

New joined them in the photoshoot and he could feel New's awkwardness especially when their eyes met. New would eventually avoid his gaze and he couldn't help but raise an eyebrow.

"Guys, I need to go to the restroom. Excuse me for a while," he told everybody  as his stomach was starting to act strange and made his way to the restroom.

He just finished his business and came out of the cubicle when he saw New the moment he opened the door.

"Oh, New,"  he said, quite stunned with what he saw. He then walked towards the sink to wash his hands. He could feel him following him behind.

"Tay. I-"

New started but didn't continue. He waited for him to finish what he wanted to say but almost a minute had passed, he didn't utter a single word. He was starting to get agitated. One of the things he hated the most was waiting.

"Tay, I uhm. I-"

"If you have nothing to say, ple—."

"I LIKE YOU!"  New exclaimed and handed him a blue envelope.

He had already received a lot of confessions from girls, so he already had a hunch of what was inside the blue envelope.

But it was definitely the first time that a guy confessed to him. He stared at New, baffled and stunned.

"OHOOOOHH!! What an event to witness on the last day of school!"

He jolted when Nicky's loud voice erupted in the room, and he was sure Nicky witnessed all of it.

He looked back at New who was still holding the envelope out to him. He didn't wanna offend him but he had no choice.

"Uhm. I'm sorry but I don't like you. And besides I'm not into men. Excuse me," he muttered and went out of the restroom.

He played with his keys as he walked towards his car after an exhausting day of attending the graduation ceremony and picture taking.

He was about to open his car when he felt a tap on his shoulder. He turned around and saw Nicky.

"Hey, what's up? You need anything?" he asked as he leaned on his car.

"Here."

He furrowed his eyebrows as Nicky handed him a blue envelope.

"Don't tell me you're also confessing to me?" he crossed his arms across his chest and chuckled.

Nicky scoffed at him.

"Are you crazy?  I mean, this is yours."

He stared at the blue envelope and realized what it was. It was the envelope New handed him earlier, the one he bluntly rejected.

"I mean, I know you don't like him but can you at least read it. I'm sure he poured his effort into this one, and Tay... it takes courage and bravery to confess to someone you like."

Nicky grabbed his hand and inserted the envelope into it.

"I have to go," Nicky said and tapped his back before walking towards his car.

He was about to enter his car when he something caught his eye. It was Gun walking alongside New who was wiping his face aggressively. It seemed like he was crying. Gun had his arm wrapped around New's shoulder, rubbing it continuously like he was comforting him.

He stared at the envelope in his hand, then back to New and Gun who was walking towards the other way.

Tay wrapped his arms around New's waist and kissed him on the cheek.

"Good morning, husband," he muttered and hugged New tighter.

New broke from their embrace and faced him.

"Good morning, husband," New cupped his cheeks and placed a soft kiss on his lips.

Tay then pulled him closer and nuzzled his nose.

"I can't believe you're already married to me," he uttered, rubbing New's nose with his.

"Tss. Come on. We're gonna be late for our flight," New broke from their embrace and dragged him towards the bathroom.

They were bound to fly to Paris  where they would spend their honeymoon slash vacation.

"You go take a shower first. I'll just prepare our breakfast," New said and handed him the towel.

"You sure you don't wanna join me?" Tay asked teasingly, wiggling his eyebrows.

"Tsss," New just hissed at him and ruffled his hair.

"Be quick. We still have a flight to catch," New added and pinched his nose.

"Yes husband. I love you," Tay replied and pouted his lips, obviously asking for a kiss.

"Tss," New chuckled. "I love you, too... and more," New replied and leaned closer to give Tay what he wanted.
