“Oh, Princess.. I’m so glad you’re awake.” Lillian ran up to the bed and held me tightly.

“She’s no longer a princess.” Viktor said. Lillian pulled away and looked at me, then her eyes widened.

“Your father.. now you’re the Queen of Dubois werewolves.” She said. I let out a shaky sigh.

“After the coronation.. yes.” I said.

“And that will be tomorrow.. if you’re up for it. They want to make you Queen as soon as possible.” Viktor said. I looked at him and nodded.

“How will we take care of two kingdoms.. they’re so far apart.” I said.

“We.. we will probably have to appoint someone to do so until our pups come of age.” Viktor said. My eyes drifted to Lillian.

“What? Why are you looking at me like that?” She asked.

“You could do it.. right? Just rule in my stead until our pups can take over?” I asked. Her eyes widened and she shook her head.

“Violette.. I don’t know..” she said softly.

“Who else? I trust you so much.. I know you will do right by my kingdom. It’s not permanent.. just until..”

“What about the Elder Minister? Can’t he do it?” She asked. I let out a sigh.

“He could.. but he was a great friend of my father.. it terrifies me to have someone close to my Father take over the crown until my pups come of age.. it can be done, Viktor? Right?” I asked.

“I’ll have to work it out.. but as long as Lillian and Cedric are okay with it.. I don’t see why there would be an issue.” He said. I pulled Lillian’s hands into mine.

“You don’t have to.. but I trust you more than anyone else to watch over our home. You can change things.. you can put ducks in the ponds.. flowers of all types instead of just the white roses. You can make that place so much better.” I said.

“But I’m just a maid..” she said as her eyes filled with tears. I shook my head.

“You’re not. You’re my best friend, my sister, my family.. and you’re a lady of high ranking now.” I said with a smile.

“Are you sure?” She asked.

“More than you know.” I said softly.

“I don’t want it forever.. so once your pups are old enough.. they can have it.” She said as she giggled. I pulled her in for a hug.

“Of course.” I said.

“I won’t be able to see you everyday!” She said.

“No.. but you can visit anytime. And I’m certain we will visit as well. I’d like to see what you’ve done.” I said softly.

“I.. I will tell Cedric the news.” She said. She quickly scurried from the room.

“Are you sure you want to do this?” Viktor asked.

“Do you think I shouldn’t?” I asked. He smiled as he cupped my cheeks.

“I think it’s a fantastic idea.” He said. He pressed his lips firmly against mine.

“Today, I crown Princess Violette Dubois as Queen of the Dubios kingdom. Queen of the werewolves.” The Elder minister said. He placed the crown on my head.

“Who will ever watch the kingdom as you rule over the Lycans?” He asked with a smirk.

“Not you, that’s for certain. Lady Lillian and her Mate.. her soon to be husband, Cedric Olivander, will rule in my stead until my pups come of age.” I said with a smirk.

“But.. is that even allowed?” He scoffed.

“It is now.” I said. He let out a low growl.

“Now, get out of my Kingdom.” I growled in response. He quickly flashed me a look of pure anger before stepping out.

“That was amazing.” Viktor said as as he pulled me into his arms. The court around us burst into fits of laughter and cheers.

“I love you.” I said softly.

“I love you more.” He responded. He placed a gentle k**s on my forehead.

“Let’s get this wedding going.” I said with a smile.

“Lillian, I have something for you.” I said with a smile.

“What is it? You didn’t have to get me anything..” she said nervously. She looks absolutely stunning in her white gown.. it will look perfect with the tiara and earrings I got her that one day with Viktor.

“Of course I did. You didn’t think I wouldn’t get you a wedding gift.. right?” I asked with a smirk. I pulled out the gifts wrapped in tissue paper and held it out for her.

“I’m nervous..” she said as she grabbed it. I let out a giggle.

“I know.” I said. She began to unwrap it, her eyes widening as soon as she lay her eyes in it.

“Violette! You didn’t! It’s so beautiful..” she said as her eyes filled with tears.

“I told you one day, I would get you your very own tiara.” I said. She ran her fingers over the tiny pearls.

“I love you..” she said. I picked up the tiara and placed it in her head, then she put the earrings in.

“I love you too. Now look.” I said as I turned her around.

“I look like a Princess!” She said with a smile. She turned around and held me tightly in her arms.

“You are a princess. And always have been to me.” I said.

“Thank you.. Violette. It really is the best thing I own.” She said softly.

“Don’t thank me. You deserve it far more than you know.”
