Violette POV

Snowball began to gallop faster and Viktor held on tight. It made me smirk to know that he was nervous.

“Do you have to make him go so fast?” Viktor asked. I could feel his heart racing against my back, I really was scaring him.

“I can make him go faster if you want,” I said.

“You think this is funny, don’t you?” He asked. I nodded.

“Oh, yes. Very,” I said. He let out a growl behind me but ignored it. He wants to ride? I’ll show him a ride.

I pushed Snowball to go faster and he did.

“Violette, stop it,” Viktor said.

“You stop it,” I growled in response. He reached around me and pulled on the string between my breasts and my gown began to slide down. I let out a growl as I slowed Snowball down to a stop so I could fix it.

“I hate you,” I growled.

“No, you don’t.” He said. Before I could tie the string he grabbed my sore breast in his hand and I winced.

“Would you stop? That hurts.” I growled.

“I thought you liked pain?” He asked in a husky tone.

“Not from you,” I growled as I pushed his hand away.

“From someone else, then?” He questioned.

“No,” I said. I fixed the string and I grabbed Snowball’s reigns again. Viktor leaned me back against his chest.. so I didn’t get the chance to have Snowball continue.

“So, you want to be all alone?” He asked. My breath hitched in my throat as he began to pull up my gown.

“As long as I don’t have to see you I’m content,” I said.

“You don’t miss me?” He asked. He slid his hand under my gown and trailed his fingers up my thighs. Goddess, why does my body betray me? My core began to slick as he touched me and i hated it. I hate him.

“You have a mate. You should think of her.” I growled.

“I do.” He said thoughtfully.

“Did you only come to me to seduce me?” I asked. I was getting angry.. but I was also getting aroused which angered me even more. He slid his fingers closer to my virtue and I’d almost lost myself for a moment..

“No..” he said. He kissed my neck and I growled.

“Stop it,” I said.

“You know I can’t control it.” He growled seductively.

“Yes.. you can. Please stop.” I said. I had a feeling I knew the perfect way to stop him. So I spoke again.

“Why don’t you seduce Minerva? Since you’re so good at that.” I said. He let out a growl.

“Do not bring her up. I don’t want her. I want you. And I will never touch her.. Ever again.” he growled.

“Then, stop. If you really mean that, let me go.” I growled.

He let out a huff as he pulled his hand from under my gown.

“I’m sorry.. okay? I didn’t mean to attack you. I didn’t mean to treat you so poorly. I was angry. And it was the dumbest mistake I’ve ever made.” He said.

“You think?” I scoffed. If he thinks his apologies will fix this, he’s wrong.

“I still want you. Forever. You’re mine.. and I won’t let you go.” He said.

“You were willing to when you thought I’d betrayed you. As if I ever would..” I said as I wiped away a stray tear.

“I thought..”

“I don’t care what you thought. I thought you trusted me and believed in me. I thought you cared about me.. I was clearly wrong.” I said. I was glad that I wasn’t facing him so that he didn’t have to see the pain on my face. He really broke my heart.

“I do care about you..” he said softly.

“I don’t want to talk about it anymore. Please. I just want to go home.” I said.

“Violette.. you can’t keep locking me out like this.”

“Why can’t I? You shut me out the second you thought I was pregnant.” I said.

“You are pregnant.” He said.

“I’m not. I haven’t found my mate and you know this. I’ve spent all my time with you and you’re not my mate.” I said.

He let out a sigh and wrapped his arms around me.

“Please, forgive me.” He said.

“I don’t want to.” I cried. I began to pull out of his grip and climb off Snowball when he held onto my arm.

“What are you doing?” He asked.

“I’m getting down. I will walk home.” I said. He let go of me and I dropped to my bare feet in the grass and didn’t look back as I walked off.

“Violette, I don’t know how to ride this thing.” He yelled after me.

“He has a f*****g name!” I growled as I turned around. He climbed off and stood there staring at me with shock on his face.

“I’m sorry. I will literally get on my knees and beg you if I have to. I just want you to forgive me, Violette.. it kills me to know what I’ve done. But I can’t change it. I can only do better if you let me try.”

“But you won’t! People don’t change. You won’t change. You’ll only find something else to hurt me with. Well, I’ve had enough. I may still be your slave but I won’t let you torture me any longer.” I cried.

“I..” he walked over to me and tried to grab me.

“I won’t.. Violette. I promise.” He said.

“Your promises don’t mean anything if you don’t keep them,” I said.

“What will it take? I’ve never given myself to anyone as much as I have to you.. you don’t understand how much I..” he stopped himself and sighed.

“Let me show you.” He said. He grabbed my hands gently and looked deep into my eyes.

“I don’t want anyone but you. You.. are the one. You’re absolutely perfect.. I can’t go a single day without seeing you.. because I fear I won’t survive. To smell your scent.. to feel your touch.. you are everything I want and need, Violette.” He said. He cupped my face in his hands as his eyes filled with tears.

“I will make it up to you every single day of my life. I will not marry another.. I will not touch another. You are everything I need. I cannot bear to live without you.. you just don’t understand.” He said.

“Let me make it up to you. You will see that I will never be that way again. I was stupid. So stupid, Violette. I let my emotions get the better of me.. I didn’t think, I just did. I would die for you. I would kill a thousand men if it meant that you would take me back. If you would just forgive me..” he said. The look in his eyes was so sincere it made my heart ache.

“You broke my heart..” I cried. He wiped away my tears as he nodded.

“I know I did. And I will never forgive myself for that.” His voice cracked as he spoke.

“I don’t want you.” I growled.

“Violette, please.. I cannot bear to be without you. To see you in so much pain.. pain that I caused because I was stupid. The way I treated you was so horrible. I know. I can’t take it back, but if you let me I will try with everything inside me to make it up to you.” He said softly. A tear ran down his cheek and I wanted so badly to wipe it away.. but I couldn’t.

“I..” I didn’t know what to say when his eyes fell on my lips.. I gave in. He pulled my lips to his in a rush.. i just stood there.. unable to move, unable to think. All I knew was it made me feel everything tenfold.. he does things to me I’ve never felt before, and my entire body betrays me by reacting.

“Please..” I said against his lips.

“I want you. Nobody but you.” he said and then he pulled me back in.
