Violette POV
I crawled into my bed and bawled my eyes out. Two days.. two days in that cold dungeon. No food.. no water.. just the cold, damp floor.
How could he?
And then.. the pains.. goddess they were awful. I knew I would surely die.
I jumped up when my door opened and I put my shaking hands up as I squeezed my eyes shut.
âPlease..â I cried. I didnât want him to hurt me anymore..
âViolette, dear..â Beatrice called for me.
âPlease go..â I cried. I held my legs tightly to my chest as I sobbed.
âLet me check on you.. please.. you gave us all a fright.â She said softly.
âAnd whoâs fault is that? LEAVE.â I growled. I was on the verge of shifting I was so angry.. so hurt..
âLet me check you and then Iâll leave. You will not have to see me again for as long as you wish.â She said.
âNo,â I growled.
âThink of the pup, Violette.â She said. I looked up at her in rage. How dare she continue on with the charade?
âThere is no pup,â I growled.
âViolette.. your eyes.. you need to calm down.â She said in a firm tone.
âStay away from me, Beatrice. Iâm afraid I will shift if you do not.â I said.
âVio-â I cut her off.
âI do not want to see you. I donât want to see Viktor. I donât want to see ANY OF YOU.â I growled. Fur sprouted on my arms as my bones began to break.
âOkay.. okay, just please.. donât shift.â She said. She backed away and left the room. Slowly closing the door. I took deep, hot breaths as I tried to calm myself.
I was tired.. tired of being lied to and treated poorly. I went from one hell to another when I was brought here..
I wrapped my arms around my legs and cried.
He didnât care for me. It was all a facade. How could I be so stupid? How could I believe his lies?
I reached for the necklace he gave me and ripped it off. I threw it at the door and screamed.
The door opened once again and I launched off, only to see Sylvia and Lillian standing in the doorway.
âViolette..â Sylvia said. She looked afraid of me. Why? I would never hurt her.
âThere you are.. goddess, what is going on?â I asked as tears fell down my cheeks. I wrapped my arms around them both but they didnât speak.
I pulled back and looked between them.
âDid they not tell you?â Lillian asked.
âTell me what?â I asked.
âN-nothing. Youâre being let go from the dungeon.. Viktor changed his mind.â Sylvia said.
âBut why?â I asked.
âHe.. felt awful for what he did,â Lillian said. I narrowed my eyes at them. Something is up. And theyâre hiding it from me. One thing I canât stand the most is lies, and it seems everyone is hellbent on lying to me constantly.
âTell me the truth or get out,â I growled.
âViolette.. please calm down,â Lillian said. I took a deep breath to calm myself.
âFine. Will you bring me some water?â I asked. Lillian turned to leave and Sylvia tried to walk in but I stopped her.
âBoth of you. A-and some food?â I asked. They both nodded and as soon as they left I shut the door and locked it.
âEveryone lies,â I growled to myself. I latched the top bolt as well to ensure no one could come in.
I crawled back into bed and wrapped myself in my blanket and cried myself to sleep.
â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢â¢
I heard knocks on the door and I opened my eyes. It was dark outside now, I guess Iâd slept all day.
âViolette, open the door.â Lorenâs voice called from the other side.
âNo,â I growled.
There was silence.. and I was glad. I didnât want anyone to come in.
Then there was banging on the door.
âViolette,â Viktor growled.
âLeave me alone!â I yelled as I glared at the door.
âNo, open the door.. or I will break it down.â He growled.
âNo,â I said.
âPlease, Violette.â He said in a softer tone.
âIf you donât leave, Iâll-â he cut me off.
âIf you even think about hurting yourself.. I swear to the Moon Goddess..â he began growling once again.
I didnât respond.
âViolette?â He asked. His voice was laced with panic, yet I didnât respond.
I heard a loud roar and the loudest banging on the door I couldâve imagined..
Within seconds the door was down, and I was staring at his massive brown Lycan.
âLeave,â I growled as I threw a pillow at him. He stalked towards me and shifted back.
âNo.â He said. He reached for me and I jerked away.
âDo not touch me,â I growled. I let my claws slip out and I held them out.
âYou think you can kill me?â He asked.
âNo, but I will sure as hell make you hurt,â I growled. My canines slipped out and my eyes turned black. I was going to shift if he didnât leave.
âCalm down.. please, Violette.â He asked with his hands outstretched.
âLeave me alone, and I will,â I growled. Fur started spouting out of my skin for the second time today.
âYou canât shift. You have to stop.â He said, fearfully.
âI wonât if you just leave me the f**k alone!â I growled. My bones started snapping and he lunged at me, pinning me to the bed as I thrashed underneath him.
âPlease..â he begged. I freed my hand and slashed it across his chest.
âGet off!â I growled. My bones continued breaking underneath him but he wouldnât budge. He was making it impossible to shift.
He leaned into my face like he was going to k**s me. What the f**k?
âNo!â I screamed and I jerked my face away from him. Tears covered my face as I sobbed. I just wanted to be left alone.. was that so much to ask?
âViolette.. Iâm sorry. I didnât mean it. I was angry. Iâm not anymore,âjust please calm down..â he begged.
âIf youâre really sorry you will leave me alone. I donât want to be near you right now. You broke my heart.. I canât bear to see you without wanting to rip my heart out.â I cried.
His grip loosened on my wrists and he sighed.
âIâm sorry.â He said softly. He raised himself off of me and stood up.
âPlease just go, Viktor. Iâm not ready to talk to you.â I cried.
âFine. I will be waiting for when you are.â He said. He turned around and when he stepped out, he turned to Loren.
âReplace her door, and make sure there are no locks.â He said.
âYes, my King,â Loren replied as he looked at me with pity in his eyes.
âAnd bring her some food and water. She needs to eat.â Viktor growled.
