Viktor POV

I cannot believe her.. I trusted her.. I let her in.. why am I so stupid? She’s pregnant with her mates pup!

I growled as I slammed my fists into the wall, chunks of concrete fell to the floor as I broke it.

“What have you done?” Beatrice walked in and spoke. She had an angry scowl in her face.. something that only pissed me off further.

“Leave, Beatrice.” I growled.

“No. I will not. You’ve made a terrible mistake. That girl is in love with you. I don’t care if she’s pregnant with her mates pup. Maybe he violated her.. I don’t believe she would hurt you in such a way. You need to fix it.” She growled. I stepped up to her and pointed my finger in her face.

“No. She’s the one who made the mistake. She lied to me. She betrayed me.. if she wasn’t with child I would have killed her! She’s pregnant with her mates pup, Beatrice! You know how the bond works! She wants him, not me. And even if she did want me, I won’t have her after what she’s done.” I growled. Lillian walked in and I glared at her.

“What did she tell you? You’re her best friend.. she had to have told you. Or are you hiding it for her protection? Because I will throw you in that dungeon alongside her.” I growled. Cedric stepped in behind her and grabbed her.

“Viktor.. please. Don’t talk to my mate like that.” Cedric said. I growled and slammed my fists into my table and broke it to pieces.

“Tell me!” I growled.

“She.. she said it wasn’t true.. that she hadn’t found her mate.. I believe her. She hasn’t mentioned her mate at all! Just a few weeks ago she was telling me she didn’t want him.. That she wanted you.” she said in a small tone.

“THEN HOW IS SHE WITH CHILD?” I growled. She stepped back and Cedric held her tightly.

“I.. I don’t know..” Lillian cried.

“Beatrice are you certain?” I asked. Please.. please tell me she just made a mistake and got it wrong.

“I’m.. certain. Her breasts are bigger and sore.. her stomach is.. she’s growing. She’s moody, can’t keep anything down, lightheaded.. I’m certain.” Beatrice said.

“She’s only been with you! She loves you! You’re an idiot!” Lillian growled. I stalked up to her and Cedric pulled her behind his back.

“My king.. I know you’re angry.. but I cannot let you touch my mate.” Cedric growled.

I began to shift out of anger. My rage completely taking over.

Lillian jumped back afraid, and Cedric looking up at me with wide eyes. I started tearing apart my chambers. Everything she touched. Everywhere her scent remained. I ripped it all to shreds.

“We need to leave. He will kill us.” Cedric said. I could hardly contain my rage.. I couldn’t even think.

They left the room in a hurry as I tore everything apart. She betrayed me.. my love.. I trusted her. I loved her. How could she do this? Pregnant.. why? Why must these things always happen? Why can’t anything go right?

I shifted back and sat on the floor as tears poured from my eyes. My heart felt like it was being ripped from my chest.. my soul ripped in half..

I loved her..

Violette..

My mind raced for any moment I could’ve missed. I’ve been with her constantly for weeks.. how could I have missed it?

Have faith.

The woman’s words vibrated through my head but I couldn’t think clearly enough.. they didn’t make any sense! How could I have faith in a woman who betrayed me?

Trust in her..

I can’t trust her.. I’m not her mate! If it were my child.. it would be different, but the timing is all wrong.. it’s all wrong!

I walked to my desk and opened the drawer, pulling out a bottle of whiskey and opening it.

How could she?

I thought she felt the same.. I was mistaken.

It’s been two days. She hasn’t admitted to anything. I’ve not allowed anyone to see me, I just want to be alone. I can’t promise I won’t kill anyone..

I’ve not come to any conclusions.. my heart aches.. and I cannot bear to see her.

She’s carrying the pup of another..

There was a knock on the door and I growled.

“Leave,” I said. The door opened and in walked Minerva.

“My king..” she said softly. She walked over to me and I stumbled to stand. The room was blurry around me, but I could tell it was her by her voice.

“Let me take care of you..” she said softly. She ran her hands over my chest and I grabbed them.

“Leave, Minerva,” I said.

“No.. let me help you.” She said she reached for my pants and unbuttoned them. I growled and grabbed her and turned her around, placing my face into her neck and taking a deep breath.

I growled angrily. She doesn’t smell like Violette..

“Get on the desk,” I said.

“Take me on the bed..” she said softly. I growled once again.

“No. Go to the desk.” I said. She finally listened and walked over to the desk and undressed herself.

I walked over to her and pulled my pants down, her a*s stuck straight in the air.

I can’t get hard..

I let out another growl.

“Let me help..” she said. She pulled herself up from the desk and got on her knees. She wrapped her hand around my c**k and began stroking me.. but nothing was happening.

I thought about Violette and I began to grow hard.

“Leave,” I growled. I felt awful.. but I was too drunk to care.

“Yes.. my king,” Minerva said. She gathered her clothes and pulled them on.. not even looking back at me as she left. I fell to the floor and put my face in my hands.

Trust In her..

But how can I? She’s the b***d of my enemy. She’s carrying the pup of another.. I should kill her.. but I cannot. I cannot bear to live without her.. even if I hate her.
