"Why did I answer that phone." I mentally scold myself. I ran a hand over my hair, then I ran it over my face.
There was so much running through my mind. Such as, should I or should I not bash her head in? The hardest decision I have to make in my life thus far.
The better question is, must I tell him or not.

My head turns to the source of the noise, it was at my window, I opened the door you scared me." I scold him
"Sorry I just wanted a kiss." He leaned over and gave me one.
He ran to the driver's side and started the car. "Everything is all packed, I am ready to take you home." Tolan smiled. "You still have my phone, right?"
My heart rate increase and my heart falls, to the bottom of my stomach. But I played it off "Yeah it's still in my purse, do you want it?"
"No , Bree you can still hold on to it.'' He waved me off, than I realized this was his way of showing me that he trusts me.
"Can you at least unlock your phone before you start driving.' He unlocks his phone at there is a look of confusion.
"Um babe ..what is this?" Again my heart starts racing but I played cool. "What is it Tolan?" I try to sound as innocent as possible.
''Babe, I got a notification from your IG. That you posted 20 minutes ago. But you said your phone is dead?" he sounded confused
"Yeah, it was not enough percentage to call my brother, because I was afraid it would die mid conversation. But it was enough to post something." I lied. He just nodded his head, passed his phone, and started his car.
I was scrolling through his, gallery and I saw a picture of Ace , Bowie, a bunch of guys I recognized from the football team and that's. When I saw a selfie of Lydia on his phone. I kept scrolling, and I saw a couple more pictures.
I took in a deep breath and blurted out. "So what's the story, between you and Lydia?"
''She has been my neighbor, all my life our parents get along. We sometimes chill together. Yeah that's all." Tolan answered honestly
"Do you like ..... love her?" I whispered the last part. His head jerked, jerked towards me.
"Eyes on the road!" I yelled
He pulled the car over ''Where is all of this all coming from." I turned the phone, so he can see the picture of her.
"We have been dating over a month .You are carrying selfies, of her in your phone. There is legit more pictures of her in your phone than me."Â he looked away ."Tolan don't act like it is not a big deal because we both know it is.... am IÂ not enough?"
His head snapped to me "Bree, darling you are more than enough. I appreciate and adore you so much. You are the only girl, I've ever felt this way about, please forget about Lydia she means, nothing to me romantically. If you want I can delete ALL her photos." He stop the car on the side of the road
"No, can I delete her photos. While you drive." I tried to reason.
"Okay sure, whatever makes you feel comfortable. Are you happy now?" He reassured me. I nodded my head. He started up the car and we continued to drive.
I exited this gallery and went into his call log . I deleted Lydia's call history. I can't lose his trust right now.
I looked at the time 1:20. I would have told him, but after that speech I knew he wanted me. Why give him the unnecessary anxiety, of him having to reject his friend.
A bright idea popped into my head "hey baby .Do you mind if I post a picture of us on your IG? From the date."
"I don't see the problem." I started to scroll through the gallery, to find the perfect pic to post.
"Do you have a specific caption in mind?"
''I really don't know. I really don't post captions, if you do it everyone will know it's you." Tolan said, while his eyes were on the road.
"Okay found it .I like this picture where you are kissing my cheek. With the tent in the background."
"That's a nice one.'' Tolan answered without glancing at me.
I posted the picture and looked at the time.

"She told, him or blabbed to you on accident, she LOVED HIM." Analia exclaimed "Who does that, she knows you two are together, what was she hoping for? For him to drop you like a bad habit."
Analia and I were walking to school, so we can talk.
"But I don't know how I would react if I saw her. Curse her out, pull her tongue out her mouth, pull her limb from limb or might punch her face in, but that would not be fair since I am trained?"
"If you want me to do it , I will wipe her for you. I still remember the few techniques you taught me." Lia tried to comfort me in her abilities.
"But you were calm in that situation. I would have pulled her through that phone and gave her the beating of her life." She scoffed.
"Lia I didn't know what to think or say. Have you ever been caught so off guard; you don't know what to say?" I told her; we were approaching the school. There was a bunch of kids standing in front of the school.
Lia's phone rings "Hello.... Where are you?...I am at the back of the school, I am crossing the field."
" ....it's time .......okay.. okay." I shamelessly listen in on Lia's conversation.
" Wait what is going on, Lia?" As soon as she hangs up. I interrogated her.
"Well Bowie is running a bit .Late so he wants me to wait for him, because he does not want to be the only latecomer ."Lia rolls her eyes as she speaks." Can you please wait with me, I don't want to be standing here all alone." She begged. I was going to stay anyway, I knew she knew that. But it was sweet that she asked.
"That boy will be, the death of us Lia. " She nodded her head vigorously. As I was laughing I saw a crowd, of people at the end of the field. I wonder what that's about.

Lia and I saw Bowie approaching us, with two cups of Starbucks, after 24 minutes.
"Really Bowie, you said 5 minutes!" Lia yelled across, the field as soon as she saw Bowie.
"Anna if I would have said 20 minutes, would you have waited!?" Bowie yelled back.
"No"
"See there you have your answer for me lying to you. Hope you are not too. Mad at me?" Bowie passed Lia, the Starbucks cup.
"I only missed the first half of Bio? You know how important school is to me. You owe me more than some coffee." Lia grabbed it from his hand and walked off. She waved to me and I waved back.
"Hey where is my coffee. I waited to?" Bowie just looked at his coffee, " I didn't know you, were coming."
" Bree, at least you are not mad right?" Bowie questioned as he took another sip of his coffee.
"Why would I be upset at Mr. Date -Planner." Bowie's face lit up.
"So, you liked it, Bree?" Bowie questioned
"I LOVED IT, you want to skip first period and just hang out? Half of it is gone anyway. "I suggested.
"Please we have Miss Owens. I am not trying to deal with her today." Bowie was shaking his head, than his eyes widen in realization. "I heard you two got into a little incident." He teased
"Let's go sit in the empty bleachers, and I will tell you all about that." I promised him.

He passed me the cup so I could have a taste the coffee " Is this Caramel?"
"WELL YEAH, to be honest I did not think you were there. That was mine?" He confessed
"Really , Bowie. "I handed him back the cup. He took it back without any hesitation.
"I am sorry, I just gave it to you so you would not feel left out "I just stared at him. "Come on Bree, I hate it when both of you guys are mad at me."
I pulled my phone out to text someone "Who are you texting? Please don't leave, it's been a while since we hanged out 1 on 1." Bowie was giving me puppy dog eyes. Staying mad at him is like not breathing in oxygen for weeks.
"I am texting Tolan, because I know this might look weird to people passing by, you and me standing out here alone." I shot the text.
"Plus I don't want to be confessing things, when the ship has already sailed. Like some people." I just laughed a bitter laugh. Bowie scrunches his face in confusion.
"Never mind let me tell you, about the Owens story." I distracted him

After I told him the whole story Bowie exploded into  laughter, I started laughing with him, because what else can I do.
After he calms down "Wow I knew Lydia was annoying, but this is too much. And Lia IS A REAL ONE." I nodded my head in agreement. He was wiping the tears from his eyes.
"I believed the reason Owens. Chased you out was because she got embarrassed." Bowie stated.
"Well she deserved it. It's just a shame I didn't handle Lydia and Ally." A smile spread on his face.
He scooted closer to me and whispered. "What do you mean by handle? What are you a secret agent or something?"
"If I told you it would not be a secret, now will it."Â I had a coy smile playing on my lips. He just shook his head.
"Yeah you right." He finally agreed.
"Speaking of Lydia. What was their friendship dynamic like?" I don't know why, but I felt nervous to ask that question, but Bowie is like family.
"You mean with Tolan? Well I don't know much. I am mostly close with Ace and Blake .She never use to sit with us until yesterday .But they are WERIDLY close they spend time together every Thursday and if someone throws a party on Thursday he would never show, because that was their special day. It's probably nothing, because it's what I have heard." He spoke in a placid tone of voice.
"Remember if I see any sneaky stuff going on. Trust me you are going to know." A smile broke on his face.

We gave each other smiles and wordlessly walked to our next class.

The day was very boring except for a text, from Arden saying meet him at lunch. 12 Minutes break. Probably want me to listen to his game plans.....again. I love my brother, but he loves Football and tries to force it down my throat. Poor old me must be interested because I love him dearly.
The bell finally rings, I rush to AP Chemistry, because Lia is there right now. I watch the class walk out.
"Hey, Bree have you seen Ace, he did not show up to Chemistry." Lia asked me
"I don't know. We have to go to the field in 12 minutes. My Mega me wants to show me something." I informed her.
"Arden? I have not seen that boy in a while, I should really come over and visit you more." Analia said.
"Yeahjust promise to use the door." I poked fun at Lia's attempt of going through my window.
"You promised to never bring that up." she scold
"Sorry, I could not help myself Lia." She walked to the back of the class and pulled out her phone.
I pulled out my phone and saw Tolan texted me twice. I did not look at it and I went to my contacts, and I called my dad. I don't know why, I was stalling to call my Dad. He deserves to know what is going on in my life. Like me going to the Dragon Ball.
Ring .
A smile spreads on my face.
Ring .
My heart is pumping fast

Now I remember why I was stalling. I ended the call and turned towards the door. The rejection felt like a sharp tooth creature, eating on me on the inside.
I saw someone in a black hoodie run by the door. The figure looked familiar, but I was too busy taming the creature on the inside, to care.

"Oh Bree I saw that picture you were talking about. On Tolan's IG page it looks stunning. I even commented something." She yelled from the back of the class.
I opened Ig, went to his page I saw the picture. Click on it. I was going through the comments until I saw Lia's comment

"Hey, I see...."My throat suddenly got dry when I saw who replied to her comment.
