______________

Waking up on December 1st felt like waking up on Christmas morning. Today, everyone in the world will be pulling out their blow up Santas and their wired reindeer, and the city will be full of twinkling, multi-colored lights.

Turning my head to the side, I noticed that it was only 8 am. Since it was Saturday, it was very unusual for me to be awake at this time. Shrugging it off as excitement, I crept to the kitchen and started the coffee machine. Deciding to stray away from my Nutella pickles, I pulled out some Hungry Jack pancake mix.

You don't realize how bad you are in the kitchen until you continuously burn pancakes. I finally got the hang of it and made at least 10 with the mix I had left.

After popping a few on a plate, grabbing the maple syrup and making Theo's morning coffee, I shuffled to his door very quietly, with a cup of water in my hand.

Opening the door took at least two minutes; creaking would've woken him up instantly. Putting my hand up to my mouth in astonishment, I look at both Zackie and Theo's bare butts. Giggling under my breath, I quickly pour half of the water onto Theo and the other onto Zackie.

"WHAT THE FUCK!" Theo yells, his eyes opening wide while his hands move the wet strands of his hair to the other side of his face.

"Dude," Zackie mumbled, getting out of bed and walking to the bathroom like a depressed zombie.

"I made pancakes!" I said, cheerily while skipping out of the room and back to the awaiting pancakes.

After I pulled out a plate for Zackie, I piled 3 on my plate and got myself a glass of Orange Juice. Halfway in the midst of devouring, Theo walks out, dry, unlike the last time I saw him, with the same scowl on his face.

"They're better to be a good reason for why you poured water on my boyfriend and me at 8:30 in the fucking morning," He grumbled, shoveling a pancake into his mouth.

"BOYFRIEND?" I screech, dropping my fork and clapping my hands excitedly.

"We made it official last night," he replied, a smile overtaking his frown.

"That's adorable. I am so happy for you!"

5 minutes later, a freshly showered Zackie walked out of the bathroom and into the kitchen, taking the last 3 pancakes and quietly eating them, while getting verbally assaulted by me and my curiosity of their new relationship,

Deciding that it was enough, I go back into my bedroom and grab my phone. Pressing Clyde's icon, I put the phone up to my ear and wait 4 rings.

"Hello?" A groggy, sexy voice says through the receiver.

"Hi, Clyde! Happy December 1st!" I said excitedly through the phone, ignoring the obvious signs that I woke him up.

"Stila, babe, you do realize it's 8:50 on a Saturday morning, right?" He said, clear grumpiness showing through.

"Yes! But we need to get an early start on today. It's the first day of the countdown to Christmas, the first day you open your advent calendar, the day everyone decorates their house! We need to be on this, pronto." I reply, hastily and in order.

"You're crazy. I'll be there in 30 minutes," he says before hanging up the phone.

I smile and walk back out to Theo and Zackie. "Boys, you better be ready in 30 minutes. The Christmas festivities start then!"

I rush back to my room and put on black leggings with a maternity snow white knit dress. Quickly applying my makeup, with a red lip color, of course, I finish the look off with my Ugg Ava tall winter boots. Placing a white beanie on top of my freshly straightened hair, I walk out to the living room and see that I'm the first person there.

I roll my eyes and sit on the couch, rubbing my stomach and looking out onto the streets of New York.

"Meow," Cluff cries, making a figure eight around my legs. I try leaning down and petting him, but quickly realize that I cannot reach. Sighing in frustration, I push my head back and stare at the ceiling. Cluff decodes its worth the effort to jump on top of the couch and cuddles up underneath my arm.

"Aweh," Zackie says, coming down the hall and seeing the cuddle fest I and Cluff are in.

"He's so cute," I say, petting his head and kissing his nose.

"Just like his mommy," Theo replies, shutting his bedroom door and taking the necessary steps so that he sat next to me on the couch.

"Idiot," I whisper, smiling at him.

With a loud knock on the door, Clyde jumps off and scurries underneath the small dining room table, while Theo goes to answer the door,

"Hey, what's up man?" He asks Clyde, pulling him in for a bro hug.

"Nothing much," the man/god says, pulling back and taking large steps to me. "How's my baby momma doing?"

"If you ever call me that again, I'm going to chop off your nuts," I reply steadily, glaring at him.

"You're adorable when you try to be scary," he says back to me, leaning down and placing his lips against mine for a quick kiss.

"Okay, lover birds. Where are we going?" Theo asks, his arms folded and his eyebrow arched.

"We are all going to pick out a Christmas tree!" I say, radiating off excitement and brushing past everyone to get my long, black, maternity coat.

All of them shook their heads while grinning, probably thinking about their beds and revenge.

We left the apartment and got into Clyde's car, with him insisting the tree that we're about to buy would fit in the car with all four of in it as well.

We decided to do a group vote on whether or not we should get a fake or real Christmas tree, and sadly I was the only one who voted for a real one.

When we arrived at our nearest target, we all piled out and I directed Theo and Clyde to both grab carts. Since I was Clyde's girlfriend, that meant I'd have to get his home into a festive mood.

We walked down every Christmas aisle, and after the 4th, I looked at both the carts and realized I might've outdone myself. Both of them were packed, and we hadn't even gotten the trees or the ornaments yet.

I directed Zackie to get the third one and walked straight to the ornaments, picking out a handful. Picking only red and silver ornaments for one tree, and gold and silver for the other, I was satisfied with the outcome.

Finally moving on to the tree's, I picked out a 10ft green Christmas tree for Clyde's apartment and a 9ft white Christmas tree for ours.

"Okay, boys. We're done," I tell them, walking into the Starbucks connected to the target and leaving them with the three, full carts. 5 minutes later, I came back out to all of the carts having been paid for and everything was in bags.

Giving everyone their favorite drink choice, I sipped on my hot chocolate and smiled in content. We all walked to the parking garage, and after 15 minutes of wrestling around, we finally managed to get everything in the car with everybody,

We arrived back at my and Theo's apartment, and I told them to grab all of the red and silver ornaments along with the white tree.

Blasting Christmas songs and eating the Christmas cookies I purchased at Starbucks, we decorated the apartment in record time. Standing back and looking at the tree, I was immensely pleased.

"Beautiful!" Theo says, in the midst of eating a cookie, which makes crumbs fly all over the place.

"That it is," I smile, listening to the wondrous joys of Jingle Bell rock.

"Wanna head back to my place and make it equally as beautiful?" Clyde asks me, coming up from behind and resting his hands on my stomach.

"I'd love to. I'm also assuming that there is going to be food involved?"

"Of course, I have to keep that monster inside of you happy somehow," he says, poking at my tummy, in which he gets a response. "He finally kicked for me!"

"December 1st is almost as magical as December 25th," I tell Clyde, turning my head around and placing my lips on his.

"Don't you dare start decorating that tree without your Christmas hat on," I scold Clyde while standing in the middle of his huge living room with one hand holding a Christmas hat, and the other, another Christmas cookie.

"Oh, please. Like I would," he says, dropping the ornament he was holding, and walking over to me to take the Santa hat. Satisfied with his appearance, I let him get to work with decorating the tree while I decorated the rest of his house.

A few hours later, we managed to make the bachelor pad look mildly decent and housewarming.

"Do you want to watch a Christmas movie?" Clyde asked me, after finishing putting the last decoration onto the tree.

"Yes, please! Only if there are hot chocolate and popcorn, though. And I mean the popcorn you buy in a can, premade. That's the only popcorn you can have on Christmas, even if does look white-trashy."

"Okay, babe. Coming right up," He says, laughing and grabbing his cell phone while walking to the kitchen.

Grabbing the remote, I scroll through the list of movies and decline everyone. The grinch? Nope. Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer? Hell no. Frosty the Snowman? Gosh no.

Picking between Elf and The Santa Claus was the hardest choice I could muster. But, I decided on Elf.

As I finished getting the movie ready and snuggled on the couch, the doorbell rang.

"Don't worry about it, babe. I got it!" Clyde yelled through the apartment. I could hear the pitter-patter of his feet as he ran to the door and said quick commentary before closing it again.

A few minutes later, he brought out a bug metal can of popcorn, like the kind I was talking about, and 2 delicious looking cups of hot chocolate.

"Perfect," I said, smiling and snuggling into him, while he wrapped a blanket over us.

The movie passed in a blur, and pretty soon it was over.

"That was glorious," I mumble, looking up at Clyde.

Staring down at me, Clyde replied with, "Yes, it very much so was."

We stared into each other's eyes for what felt like forever but was probably only just 2 minutes.

"I think I need to tell you something," Clyde said.

"What?" I whispered back, too afraid of ruining this moment to talk any louder.

"These past few months together have been amazing with you. Every second I get to spend with you, makes my smile grow larger. I'm falling for you... well, not falling, I guess I've already fallen. I'm so bad with words. I'm in love with you, Stila Brooks. I love you."

Both internally and externally smiling, I attacked his face with my mouth, kissing every spot. And when I got to his mouth, just before closing in, I whispered those three little words back to him and watched his smile grow.

"Move in with me?" He asks.
