After returning from Continent A, Daisy stayed in the Rose Garden for one night before heading to the Celestial Pivot.
The storage card in the pendant was encrypted.
It was a bit difficult to decipher.
Daisy didnât dare to forcefully crack it, fearing that it would damage the things inside, so she chose the gentlest method to decrypt it bit by bit.
It took a lot of time.
In two days, she cracked two layers of passwords.
But there were still more encryptions.
Daisy cracked another layer, and stared at the 0.0X% progress bar on the computer screenâ¦
She handed this matter to Holt Lawrence, and asked him to call her if there was any issue he couldnât solve.
She needed to prepare to go back to the drama crew to continue filming.
Since Daisy and Harton Clark didnât stay at home during Chinese New Year, they decided to return to Clark Manor whenever they had time.
Taking advantage of being home, Daisy wrote a report about supporting Continent A and sent it to Harton Clark.
After sending it, fearing that Harton Clark might not see it, she went straight to his study to find him.
âAre you busy?â
âNot busy,â Harton Clark replied, âIâm reading your report.â
âThen I wonât disturb you, go ahead and read it,â Daisy said as she was about to leave.
Harton Clark called her back in time, âHey, Little Girl, come here.â
Daisy stopped, âWhat is it?â
âCome here,â Harton Clark smiled.
Daisy always felt that there was some hidden meaning behind his smile, so she walked to his side.
As soon as she stood firm, Harton Clark hugged her waist and let her sit on his lap.
Daisy looked at him, âWhat are you doing?â
Harton Clark kissed her cheek, âLooking at the line spacing in your report.â
Daisy glanced at it, and then realized. That was way too wide⦠Definitely not the 18-point they agreed on.
It was absolutely one and a half times more.
It was agreed to be uniform, but in the end, they adopted his preference.
Daisy took the mouse and quickly changed the less than 300-word report she had written back to 18-point spacing.
Harton Clark watched her series of operations and secretly laughed on the side. Although he didnât laugh out loud, his whole body was shaking with laughter.
Daisy was sitting on his lapâ¦
âWhat are you laughing at?â
Harton Clark immediately stopped laughing, âNothing.â
Daisy stared at him lightly.
Harton Clark touched her face, gave a peck on the corner of her mouth, and softly said, âI wrote the report for you with 18-point line spacing.â
Daisy continued to stare at him, âWhatâs the matter? You donât like what I wrote?â
âMadamâs report is easy to understand, simple, clear, and can be considered exemplary,â Harton Clark responded.
Lucia listened as he praised her.
âHowever⦠we need a more complicated version,â Harton Clark said as he held her hand and whispered, âThey might not understand it if itâs too simple.â
Less than 300 words, one could quickly read it from beginning to end.
There were even two sentences mixed in to raise the tone.
Daisy was silent for a moment then said, âFormality.â
âMadam is right,â Harton Clark replied as he moved his hand from around her waist and slipped it inside her clothes.
Daisy swiftly held his hand.
âMadam, we havenât tried the study.â
She knew it. She had to write a report and listen to his compliments. He had been waiting for her here.
âWe havenât tried the study,â Daisy agreed.
Harton Clarkâs eyes lit up, âSoâ¦â
âSo⦠Third Master can try it by himself here, Iâm leaving,â Daisy said as she pulled his hand out, stood up, and walked out. âRemember to write your own insights as well.â
Harton Clark watched her walk away and heard her words. Grinding his teeth, he got up and chased after her, carried her back into the room.
âHarton Clark⦠I have something to do later.â
âWhat is it?â
Daisy:
Harton Clark threw his coat on the table from the chair and have Daisy sit on it while supporting her with his hands on both sides of her body and smiling at her, âWhat is it?â
Daisy stared into his eyes, paused for a moment, and quickly found an excuse, âYour mother and sister-in-law asked me to join them for a show.â
âDonât worry about them.â
âYou rebellious child!â
Harton Clark laughed, âItâs not like Iâve become rebellious just recently.â
Daisy:
Harton Clark kissed her gently.
As Daisy scolded herself for being captivated by lust and immersed in Harton Clarkâs tenderness, she whispered, âThe study⦠the door is unlocked.â
Harton Clark picked up a cell phone next to him, tapped it twice, and remotely locked the door.
The next day,
In the morning, Harton Clark went to the Easton Group.
Daisy Zane got up early, had breakfast with Natalie Wayne, and started to tease Charles Amos.
She played Go with Charles, and he didnât win a single game.
Once Charles didnât want to play anymore, she would say slowly and coldly, âA big man like you canât stand to lose.â
As soon as Charles tried to get up, he would honestly sit down and continue playing with her.
And then⦠heâd lose again.
It wasnât until after ten oâclock that a phone call saved little Charles.
It was from Olivia Lane.
Daisy picked up the phone, âMiss?â
Charles blinked curiously, wondering which girl had softened her tone.
Olivia was silent for a while before asking, âWhere are you?â
âClark Manor.â
âWhat are you doing there?â Olivia asked unhappily.
âIâ¦â
Seeing her unable to answer, Olivia continued, âAre you available?â
âYes.â
âDidnât you say youâd take me to meet William Butch? Iâm at the Doomsday Hotel,â Olivia said quietly.
âAlright, Iâll come pick you up.â
âOkay.â Olivia said, then added, âBe careful on the road.â
After hanging up, Daisy walked out.
Charles followed her, âWhat are you going to do?â
âGo out and play.â
âIâm going too.â
Daisy stopped, gave him a glance, and continued walking away without responding.
Charles followed her, grumbling, âThis woman, Iâve been playing chess with her all morning, and she just abandons me.â
âLess than three hours,â Daisy corrected.
âI want to go out too.â
At the entrance, Daisy handed Charles his coat and said, âPut it on yourself.â
Little Charles immediately cheered up, put on his coat, and his shoes.
Daisy put on her coat and said, âFirst go to the front courtyard and tell grandparents we wonât be back for lunch.â
âGot it,â Charles said, âIâll tell Uncle Clark, too.â
âMhm.â
Daisy drove to the Doomsday Hotel to pick up Olivia.
When they arrived at the hotel, she didnât let Charles get out of the car and went to find Olivia herself.
As soon as she saw Olivia, even before they could speak, Daisy noticed something was wrong with her.
Her gaze was off.
When did Oliviaâs proud and arrogant eyes start to flicker and carry a hint of grievance?
Daisy approached her and asked, âHave you been waiting long?â
Olivia hung her head, and after a short while, she shook her head.
Daisy felt like Olivia knew something but pretended not to know. She didnât expose her, and patted her head, âHow come weâve become so distant after a few days apart?â
âA few days?â Olivia replied, âItâs been more than two months. You donât reply to messages or answer calls. I almost forgot who you were.â
âI was busy with something.â
Olivia didnât say anything more.
Daisy said, âLetâs go, Iâll take you to see William Butch.â
Olivia followed her out.
As soon as the two walked out of the Doomsday Hotel, they saw a car parked at the entrance. Then⦠William Lane got out of the car.
The two stopped in their tracks.
Seeing them, William also paused for a moment. He finally saw his two sisters together again. He looked at them for a moment, then smiled, âGoing out to play?â
In order not to put pressure on Daisy, Olivia acted as if she didnât know anything. Suddenly, she took a step forward, stood between Daisy and William Lane, and seriously introduced, âBrother, this is⦠Daisy Zane. This is my brother, William Lane.â
Both William and Daisy looked at her.
Then Daisy lowered her head and laughed.
âWhat are you laughing at?â Olivia looked at her.
Daisy cleared her throat, âI didnât laugh.â
Olivia:Â Did she look that foolish?
Seeing Daisy laugh, William thought she probably saw through Olivia but didnât expose her. He clenched his hand by his side and said, âWhere are you going? Iâll take you there.â
As soon as Olivia heard, she immediately wanted to agree so the three siblings could be together, but she held her tongue and looked at Daisy.
Daisy saw the pleading hope in her eyes, hesitated, and looked at William, âAre you busy?â
âNo, just routine check-ups. It doesnât matter if itâs a day early or a day late.â
âAlright, letâs go together.â
Both William and Olivia smiled.
Daisy saw their happy faces and lifted the corner of her mouth, âWeâll use the car I brought. Thereâs a little one inside.â
Olivia: âHuh?â
