Book 5: Chapter 46:1: Re:Lifer Tohsaka Rin, Part 1
âThat would be tough. Being an official organization, the Dimension Administrators Association is quite strict about unauthorized transmigration. Bringing non-members to other worlds is next to impossible. As for the world Iâm talking about, it is called Type-Moon. Weâd specifically visit the timeline of Fate/Zero, which is the Fourth Holy Grail War. Perhaps youâve heard of it?â
âI do know of it. We even have a re:lifer named Tohsaka Rin from Fate/Zero in our Re:Life Chat Group. Furthermore, a group member uploaded an anime related to the Fourth Holy Grail War. Itâs from their world.â
[TL Note: Tohsaka Rin is one of the main characters from Fate/stay night; she also appears as a minor character in Fate/Zero and a few other Fate series. Here is more information about her: /wiki/Rin_Tohsaka.]
âTohsaka Rin? A re:lifer?â
âThatâs right!â
âExplain it to me, Qingtong,â Chen Heng urged, unsure if Tohsaka Rinâs world was the one he planned to visit. After all, the Type-Moon universe had many parallel worlds, and it was better to be safe than sorry.
Chen Heng had grown more open-minded since joining the Dimension Administrators Association. He had encountered so many events of such low probability that he no longer ruled out strange coincidences.
Eager to take center stage, Mo Qingtong shared what she knew. âHehe! Summarizing what Tohsaka Rin herself said and the two anime series about the Fourth and Fifth Holy Grail Wars, uploaded by another group member, Tohsaka Rin originally lived during the time of the Fifth Holy Grail War. The story followed the same trajectory as in the anime, with the commencement of the Fifth Holy Grail War. However, things went haywire because of a transmigrator. Tohsaka Rin killed the transmigrator but died and then re:lived.â
âThat is indeed a remarkable coincidence. However, that doesnât necessarily confirm itâs the same world. Once Iâm there, you can inquire more from Tohsaka Rin. Ask her if any changes have occurred in the Holy Grail War rules of her world. If so, you and Luo Li can join me. The Dimension Administrators Associationâs stance on transmigrators is straightforwardâif you donât cause trouble, we wonât meddle. Still, the likelihood of us ending up in the same world isnât high, so donât get your hopes up.â
Chen Heng didnât mind Mo Qingtong and Luo Li joining him. In fact, he had been contemplating inviting them into the association. He had nine more association invitation letters in his possession, and it would be a waste not to use them.
Furthermore, he didnât know many people, and those deserving of such invitations were fewer. However, because he had spoken so definitively about them to Luo Li recently, he decided to wait a few more days before extending the invitations to avoid awkwardness.
He certainly wasnât worried about upsetting Luo Li and potentially getting the silent treatment. No, not at all.
The invitation letters were indeed excellent bargaining chips, provided the other party wasnât a hardened criminal. For instance, Yakumo Yukari was a splendid trading partner.
Chen Heng had sensed her desire for an invitation during their recent conversation. It seemed Yakumo Yukari wanted to invite another person from Gensokyo to lighten her load. After all, Gensokyo wasnât solely her responsibility; shouldering the burden alone was too miserable.
However, she wouldnât get the invitation for free. That would never happen; its value was plain for all to see. She had to trade something, though what he would receive in return was still up for negotiation.
âElder Brother! Elder Brother! Iâm an association member; can I go on the mission you accepted?â Sirinâs question instantly attracted the attention of everyone present.
Everyone was taken abackâSirin had pulled an ace seemingly out of nowhere.
At a time when neither Mo Qingtong nor Luo Li could accompany Chen Heng on the mission, Sirin could. Considering the time Chen Heng and Sirin had spent alone together recently, wasnât Sirin getting a head start on them?
Chen Heng hesitated, not responding immediately. After serious thought, he concluded taking Sirin wouldnât be an issue.
The mission had an interesting requirement in the notesâif a member wanted to become a Master, they couldnât take anyone else. However, they could bring another association member as their own Master if they chose to be a Heroic Spirit.
This was a perk designed to free association members from the limitations of the stances of people in the Type-Moon world.
âElder Brother, I beg you. I really want to go. I promise Iâll behave,â Sirin pleaded after seeing that Chen Heng didnât immediately refuse. She flung herself into Chen Hengâs arms and rubbed against him.
Chen Heng always treated Sirin as a younger sister, but he couldnât deny that Sirin was incredibly adorable and beautiful. Given her recent psychological struggles, he thought this trip to a different world could serve as a vacation. His heart softened, and he finally gave in.
âAlright, if you want to go, youâll have to be the Master, and Iâll be the Servant. Remember, donât misuse your Command Spell, Sirin. While I donât think the Command Spell has much control over me, there may be some effects if multiple Command Spells are used together.â
âWhatâs a Command Spell?â Sirin asked, unfamiliar with the term.
Being a recent addition to the association, she hadnât had time to catch up on all the anime lore. She was clueless about these terms.
âWhat? Ah Heng, youâre becoming a Servant, and Sirin has Command Spells?â Even if Sirin didnât understand, Mo Qingtong did.
Mo Qingtong was envious. Possessing a Command Spell meant one could control a Servant freely. Furthermore, there were three Command Spells. The thought made her chuckle, but she stopped quickly upon remembering she wasnât the Master.
Why canât I be the one to accompany Chen Heng? Why arenât I the Master? I knew Ah Heng first and had intimate contact with him already.
Sirin was now a growing threat in Mo Qingtongâs eyes.
