The girls already knew it wouldn’t be good when they heard that familiar voice. Sure enough, following a loud rumbling crash from the outside, the exit to the cave was now sealed off by a series of rocks.

“Chen Minzhi, you bastard!” A’bone was filled with grief at her own folly.

She knows, this outcome must be because of that slipup back at the camp. That’s why the bastard noticed their presence and planned this up.

“Humph, you can only blame yourself A’bone. If you had listened to me and become mine, then maybe I could’ve taken you in as my concubine. Now you can only die inside that hole. Go, ignite the oil and burn them alive inside!”

Chen Minzhi had always been a very suspicious person. Although he’s gained the power of the Beastial Sect using the secret method he learned by coincidence, but after seeing the oddity in the elephant’s appearance, he could already somewhat guess the reasoning.

As the flames burned and the air growing less and less due to the heat, A’bone could only make a bittersweet smile at herself.

“Chief, it’s all my fault for putting you in this situation. Chen Minzhi, even if I become a ghost after this, I won’t let you go!” One wrong step, that’s all it took for her to spiral into this unfortunate ending.

“Don’t be so discouraged yet A’bone, we still have Jin Wu Monster and Sister Caier out there. I’m sure they will come save us.” The flames were blazing like the evening sunset outside, even so, Ling Yue never gave up and continued to seek out the last traces of clues inside.

“Chief, you don’t need to keep comforting me, this cave has no other exit. And since it’s so secretive, it’s likely the two of them won’t find us until dawn at least. By then my powers would be lost even if we can survive this fire.”

“Hold on, look over there A’bone!” Just when her friend was about to fall into despair, Ling Yue suddenly points to the skeleton which belonged to the previous leader of the Beastial Sect.

Originally the bones over in that corner didn’t show any signs of warranting their extra attention; however, that instantly changed when it began to glow a faint green light like that of a firefly and revealed the text hidden within!

Naturally both girls would want to get a better look at this discovery, but when they tried, another series of loud banging and collapsing rocks from the outside had rattled their senses again.

The air was getting thinner and thinner while the toxic fumes from the burning oil only got worse as it grew. It won’t be long before the smoke fills the entire cave and suffocate the pair.

“A’bone, hold onto the skeleton!”

There’s no time for delay so without thinking at all, Ling Yue immediately activated her powers to transfer them all away.

Sure enough, seconds after their disappearance, the entire cave had come tumbling down.

When A’bone returned her senses, they were already in new grounds of fragrance and birdsong.

“Is this a fairyland?” Dumbfounded by the wondrous scene after coming to her senses, the wild girl almost thought she was in the afterlife.

It was truly a paradise: A rainbow-colored lake, all kinds of exotic flowers and plants, all kinds of fruits growing off of the branches, bees and butterflies fluttering about, and the two straw shacks nearby that gave this a serene vibe that refreshed her very soul.

She originally thought the ancient forest was already the most beautiful place on the whole continent, but compared with the world in front of herself, the ancient forests doesn’t seem to amount to much now.

“This place is called Red Mist Sky, it’s my secret base camp.” Ling Yue explains, blinking her eyes like its nothing.

In this world there are only two other that has come into contact with this magical place, the first being Madam Lai whom she turned into her subordinate, the other being A’bone here.

Both are people she trusts, there’s no denying that fact. However, Ling Yue still understands that there’s some things that must be kept a secret, that’s why she withheld the information about where to find the entrance and only allowed the pair to enter and leave under her watch.

“Chen Minzhi’s group won’t leave right away after the cave collapse so let’s hide here for a while. After dawn I will have Little Squeak go seek out Jin Wu Monster and them to come save us.” With that said, Ling Yue hurries her friend to place the skeleton down so they can examine the burnt bones.

“There it is! Chief, turns out the original sect leader of the Beastial Sect was also betrayed by a disciple. Though this man had managed to kill the traitor using his powers, but the price was an injury too heavy to be healed. Knowing his life was coming to an end, he used his last remaining powers to imprint the last secrets of the Beastial Sect onto his bones for the future generation.” After putting the words together, A’bone became ecstatic with joy.

It’s been a real rollercoaster for this poor girl today, from disheartening to surviving a cave collapse, she now has the means to retrieve her lost powers! Without delay, A’bone immediately began diving into the knowledge of inheritance presented before herself.

Meanwhile back outside the cave, Chen Minzhi and his goons were cackling sinisterly as they watched the burning flames engulfing the entire cave.

“Second Young Master, those inside are surely dead now with such a big fire burning for so long. Why not go back and rest first while the others finish up here?” Several of the soldiers from the Kai Jiang Manor proposes.

Casting another long look at the cave, Chen Minzhi had to agree with his subordinates. He’s long mastered the layout of this area and the insides as well due to his desire for power. Now that A’bone and her accomplice are dead inside, nothing could possibly threaten him and his plans now. Therefore, after a second of deliberation, he decides to do just that and focus back on the transfer ritual that’s at hand.

But as a suspicious person in and out, truly bound to his blood, there’s no way Chen Minzhi would become lazy at this crucial moment. Making a round trip to the actual ritual site where the altar lies, this man actually spent a good deal of time examining every aspect of altar before turning away.

Unfortunately for him though, the extra care he took would be his downfall. Not far away hidden beneath the tall lush grasses, a little dog like creature was currently sprawled there, its face snickering deviously like a thief finding the treasure chest.

With everything set for both parties, each with their own plans in mind, it was just before dawn before A’bone finally managed to fully comprehend the new knowledge she gained from the bones. Likewise, Ling Yue too also got some wondrous news from her friends from the outside.

It was Little Crow and Little Squeak, the two have finally managed to locate the secret location of the ritual after days of searching – turns out it was the giant elephant’s very own den!

“It’s time we showed those from the Kai Jiang Manor what we are made of. This time we will flip those people upside down.” Before leaving the Red Mist Sky, Ling Yue suddenly started to grin strangely for no reason, thus baffling her friend as a result.
