Yoongi instructed Taehyung to close his eyes and to make sure that Taehyung doesn't peak out of curiosity, Yoongi covered the man's eyes with his hands.
He stood behind the man and leaned in close to his ears as he whispered, "Just trust me."
Taehyung couldn't help but chuckle as he asked, "Hyung, where are you taking me?"
Yoongi smiled mischievously as he heard this but gave no answer to the man's question, "Shhh~"
Taehyung pouted as he felt that the crown prince was being a bit childish, "Hyung, it's the middle of the night. I want to get some sleep."
Yoongi chuckled as he heard this and gently pushed Taehyung forward, taking him somewhere, "It will only take a minute. You can sleep with me afterward."
Taehyung smirked as he heard the latter half of Yoongi's sentence, "Are you sure about that, Hyung?"
Yoongi smiled but said nothing more as he kept walking along with Taehyung who couldn't see anything.
"Hyung, I feel like you're taking me to the woods," Taehyung seemed to not like being silent much so he spoke up once again, "It could only be for two things."
"Two things?" Yoongi asked in confusion.
"You are either trying to kill me and hide my body in the woods."
Yoongi couldn't help but laugh as he heard this, "I love you a bit too much to do that. What's the second possible reason?"
"The second is... Hehehe..." Taehyung snickered as he teased Yoongi, "I'm not telling you, Hyung. It's too inappropriate for me to say."
Yoongi was silent for a minute as he tried to understand what could possibly be more inappropriate than calling the crown prince a possible murderer. After a minute of deep thinking, when he finally understood it, his ears turned red.
"Shameless," Yoongi responded and to that, Taehyung only chuckled as a response.
"Your highness, am I right?"
"No!" Yoongi reacted slowly making Taehyung laugh more, "Unless..."
"Hmm... Unless..." Taehyung snickered as he kept walking.
After a few more minutes of walking, they were finally at the place where Yoongi wanted to take him to.
"We're here," Yoongi announced as he pushed Taehyung down and gestured for him to sit on the ground.
Taehyung frowned as his hand reached down to touch the grass underneath before he took a seat down, "What could possibly be here? The forest at night is scary even for me, Hyung."
"Scary? Why?" Yoongi asked with his hands still covering the man's eyes.
"Because there are a lot of wild animals on the hunt. I don't want to die young, Hyung."
"Don't worry about it. If anything attacks, I'm here to save you."
"Ooo~ I'm delighted to hear that, Hyung. You're so brave and strong~" Taehyung snickered as he complimented the crown prince.
Yoongi smiled happily, looking proud of himself as he heard Taehyung.
"Can I open my eyes?" Taehyung asked.
"Oh, right! I forgot!" Yoongi snapped out of his thoughts and gently took his hands off of Taehyung's eyes, "Don't open your eyes just yet."
"Okay~" Taehyung sang happily as he waited for Yoongi to give him a signal.
Yoongi sat beside the man and glanced at the view in front of him before gulping in worry as he looked back at Taehyung and hoped for the man to like it. He leaned in forward and gently kissed Taheyung's cheeks before speaking up, "You can open your eyes now."
Taehyung smirked as he opened his eyes and immediately turned to grab both of Yoongi's hands and pinned him to the ground, climbing over him in the process.
Yoongi was taken by surprise and this was clearly evident in his eyes that were wide open and looking at the man that had caged him, "Taehyung, what are you trying to do?"
Taehyung chuckled as he heard this response that was said in the softest voice he had ever heard coming out from this crown prince.
"What does it look like I'm doing, Hyung?" Taehyung asked teasingly.
Yoongi sighed as he tried to stand up but he was not able to lift himself more than an inch before Taehyung put more force on him and pinned him back to the ground.
"Taehyung-ah, I'm trying to show you something."
Taehyung rolled his eyes as he heard this, "Let me guess, Hyung. You're trying to show me the beautiful scene of the stars filling the sky. A romantic scene that I would look at and be awestruck?"
Yoongi gulped as he shook his head and denied it, "That's not it."
"Eh?" Taehyung frowned as he asked, "You're not trying to show me a beautiful scenery?"
Yoongi chuckled and instead of answering the question, he asked another question, "Why do you think I'll show you some meaningless stars overcrowding the sky?"
Taehyung shrugged his shoulders as he thought about it, "You're right. It is not meaningful. Just a natural phenomenon that brightens up the sky. Only good to look at from afar."
Yoongi nodded as he tilted his head, "That's right. It's only good to look at. Nothing meaningful so why would I waste my time bringing you here just to make you look up at the sky and show you stars that weren't even put there by me?"
Taehyung snickered and his hands loosened up around Yoongi's wrists, "Hyung, you really don't like meaningless beautiful things, do you?"
Yoongi didn't look to be hesitant as he nodded, "The only beautiful thing I like in this world is you. Everything else, I despise."
"Then what are you trying to show me?" Taehyung lifted himself up and sat back down at the same place where Yoongi had made him sit at, however, he still had his eyes glued to Yoongi and didn't bother looking at the scenery that Yoongi wanted to show him.
"You ruined the surprise," Yoongi frowned as he got up and straightened his clothes as he sat beside Taehyung.
"I haven't looked yet, Hyung." Taehyung beamed.
Yoongi squinted at the man before sighing as he finally decided to give in to the man and continue with the surprise from where he had left off of, "Look ahead."
Taehyung pouted as he shook his head, "I quite like the view in front of me right now."
Yoongi's face didn't betray him but his ears surely did. He grabbed Taehyung's head and Taehyung puckered his lips as if waiting for Yoongi to kiss him.
"Shameless," Yoongi commented as he forcefully turned Taehyung's face to look forward.
Taehyung was dissatisfied but it could only last for a second when he looked at the clear view of the country in front of him.
He looked shocked as he asked, "Hyung, what is this?"
Yoongi smiled in satisfaction as he saw the speechless shocked expression on the man's face, "That's our country."
Taehyung looked to be in deep thoughts and his eyebrows creased together as he looked at the scenery of the hundreds and thousands of houses and lights that illuminated the place. The moon hung right above it all and looked to be blessing the country.
"Ever since I was born, whenever something worried me or saddened me, I would come up here and look down. Right now, you're looking at my second-most prized possession that I love and care for."
Taehyung gulped as he turned to look at Yoongi who had his eyes glued at the country below.
"When I think about all the people that trust me and love me. The people that I'm responsible for... It gives me the courage to get through every hurdle and problem in life. It brings me peace and it makes me happy to know that the reason why the country looks so peaceful is because of me and all the decisions I made to protect this country."
"Your highness, You're a really great leader."
Yoongi turned to look at Taehyung with a warm smile on his face as he asked, "If this is my second-most prized possession, don't you want to know what my most prized possession is?"
Taehyung chuckled as he shook his head and responded, "I already know what that is."
"You do?" Yoongi looked to be taken back as he questioned.
"I do," Taehyung nodded his head and in the next moment, he leaned forward to rest his forehead against Yoongi's head, "Who else can it be but me? Am I right, Hyung?"
Yoongi frowned as he heard such a confident answer and his want to tease the man increased, "That's not it."
Taehyung immediately jerked back and glared at Yoongi as he asked, "Then what is it? Whom do you love more than me?"
Yoongi snickered as he commented, "You look like you're ready to go into a war with that person."
"I am!" Taehyung answered unhesitantly, "Who in the world dare become your number one when I'm alive and well?!"
Yoongi laughed as he shook his head and gently squeezed Taehyung's hand, "My most-prized possession is my heart that was given to you."
"..."
"You're not a thing I can just possess, Taehyung. You're a person of your own. A person I love and care for more than myself."
Taehyung pursed his lips and said nothing but the blood rushing up his cheeks couldn't be hidden under the moonlight that sprinkled on them.
"Hyung, you're too cheesy!" Taehyung sighed as he ducked his head down.
Yoongi smirked as he lifted Taehyung's head, "Is that a bad thing?"
Taehyung didn't even hesitate to nod his head as he answered, "It's bad for my heart! It feels like I'm about to die of happiness!"
Yoongi chuckled as he heard this but his chuckles were soon muffled by Taehyung who grabbed the back of his head and pushed him forward, against his own lips.
"Your highness, I love you too much," Taehyung mumbled in between the kiss, and the words managed to melt into Yoongi's lips as he kissed the man back.
"I love you more," Yoongi mumbled back, "Next time, I'll show you the stars just like you want me to."
Taehyung frowned as he pulled back, "What do you mean, Hyung?"
Yoongi tilted his head and smirked as he asked, "Wasn't that what you were anticipating to see? A romantic sight of the stars that brighten up the sky?"
Taehyung pouted as he slowly nodded his head and answered honestly, "I like the stars..."
Yoongi chuckled as he encircled his arms around the man and hugged him, "It's okay to like the stars."
"But it's not meaningful," Taehyung mumbled.
"But the fact that we'll see it together makes it more meaningful, doesn't it?"
Taehyung slowly nodded his head as he agreed, "It does..."
"I heard that there will be a meteor shower coming and the sight would be beautiful. Do you want to see it together with me?"
"Isn't the next meteor shower like... After hundreds of years?"
"Is it?" Yoongi frowned, "Then I guess we'll just have to live a hundred more years. Let's grow old together, okay?"
Taehyung rested his head against Yoongi's shoulder as he nodded, "When I grow old, I might look weak and ugly, but I hope your highness still loves me just as much as you do today."
"I won't."
Taehyung frowned in turn as he lifted his head and glared at the man.
"I'll love you a lot more," Yoongi smirked as he added.
"Chessy~"
Yoongi shrugged his shoulder, "Only with you."
Taehyung smiled brightly, "Just the way I like it. I'm a jealous man so you better not get someone else to entertain you. Let's grow old together and invoke jealousy within others. We'll be the most loving couple this world had ever seen."
Yoongi chuckled as he nodded his head, "Why would I possibly need anyone else when I have a shameless man like you by my side?"
Taehyung pecked Yoongi's lips before grinning as he responded, "That's right."
Yoongi, "Let's live a hundred years and see that meteor shower together."
Taehyung held up his pinky finger, "It's a promise."
Yoongi unhesitantly hooked his own finger around the man's pinky as he repeated, "It's a promise."
A promise to see the meteor shower together.
A promise engraved into their souls, never to be forgotten.
A promise that would definitely be kept...
